I don't think Orlando is as good as the media makes them out to be. If Dwight Howard went down with an extended injury then in my opinion thats a 25 win roster.

Their front court is SOLID. Their Big 3 with our small fries would be a beast team.
Their strong point is our weak point and vice versa. It really shows how much of a difference the Bigs makes vs. the Smalls in today's game

i really think that was. is the only team in the NBA,that doen't look at there roster past the starting 5
you lose your best bench player in Roger mason, and you counter that with Dee Brown
guess they don't remember that strech last year when Agent 0 and Daniels went down, and he kept them afloat as did he when Butler went down
IMO,they should move jamison to SF and bring stevenson off the bench
creates better depth and fixes the log jam at the 4 and 5
it would look like
Washington
Arenas/Daniels/Brown
Butler/Stevenson/Young
Jamison/McGuire
Thomas/Songalia/McGee
Haywood/Blatche/Pecherov

The Magic aren't like Cleveland without Lebron if Dwight goes down.
They build off 3-point shooting.
Lewis, Turk, Bogans, JJ, Pietrus, Nelson, and Cook all have to go down for them to struggle.
Orlando has the most lethal Depth.
(3pt) Lewis - Turk - Bogans - Cook - JJ - Pietrus - Nelson
(Blk) Howard - Foyle
(Def) Howard - Foyle - Battie - Pietrus - Bogans
Loose Dwight: Still have shooting and Foyle down-low
Loose Lewis or Turk: Still have shooting and Dwight down-low
Most of their players are spot-light reliable. Turk can go off. Lewis, Dwight, JJ, and Nelson can go off.
No matter who's better. I think the Magic - Bobcats games are entertaining every time they match-up

Thank you. JJ has become a nobody since being drafted. He doesn't get along with the organization because he isn't babied anymore like he was at Duke. He has to work harder to make in in the NBA.
He's nothing but a shooter. A great shooter, but terrible defense. He doesn't fill a role for that team and he's become nothing but a bench warmer.

The Bobcats have a bit of depth at every position, hopefully that can over power some of these teams that have strong lineups.

Morrison hasn't proved much more than JJ, We want have a lot of debth unless May and Morrison have great years. Til we add a starting four we don't even have a solid starting five. Unlees we address some problem areas i agree we about 13th in a stronger eastern conferance this year . Thats why i can;t understand why LB hasn't made any moves so far unless we don't have but four players with value.

Yeah ummm....well....uhhhh Have you ever seen a JJ-Magic game?
Well I have, and he STILL has it.
Besides, take JJ out of the Depth and they STILL have 6 shooters.
that's my point. 1 less guy on their whole squad and they can still get the job done. Hell, take 3 guys out and they can still win.

You've probably never seen the ones where he played "bulk" minutes.
or your just saying that because you can't see past UNC versus Duke rivalry.

I have to disagree. You seem to hold their bench in MUCHHH higher esteem than I do. I don't think they hold a candle to the depth seen in Portland; even Detroit.

Besides, there is NO rivalry. UNC is the undisputed best program of all time. JJ never had his best games against us. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!:p
As an aside, I have huge respect for Redick. He is without a doubt one of the best (if not THE best) shooters ever. He was an ice cold dude back in college. And I always loved how he'd come down for a fast break and pull up from 3 (and swishing) instead of going for a layup. He's one of the seldom Duke guys that I like and would love to see succeed.

1.i'm a WVU fan
2. JJ had 0 starts, and only played in 34 games outta 82, averaged 8.1 minutes, and 4.1 points, and the MOST minutes he played last year was 26,in a blow out loss,(btw 1-4 in that game for 3),and he only made atleast 2 3point shots twice in 07
3. he's only played over 20 minutes twice last year, and aside from the 10 games he played for 10-17 minutes, the rest were under 10
4. 34 times he got off the bench,2 times he played 26/24 minutes,10 times he played 10-18 minutes,22 times he played under 10,so wheres the bulk?
5.i'm not saying anything bad about JJ,i actually like him,and Shelden Williams for that matter, but for him to ever prosper he needs to get out of Orlando, where SG's go to die
6.Dick Vitale even said he would not make a good pro

ok looked at his game log,he played well the last game of the year,24 minutes where he hit half his FG and 3pts,that must be burned in your head still, btw Washington sat Butler gil and antwan that game, and stevenson played 13 minutes

Bobcats is in trouble in the division rivals. I strongly suggests that get stud PF and upgrade the wing/perimeter defender!!. Please bobcats management.
is bobcats can get JJ reddick or R. Lewis???

Can't hold a candle to Portland or Detroit?
I think they could make it a ball game. Give them some respect. Don't make it sound like they have NOTHING.

I'm not, but when you say the "top depth in the league" I can't help but question your vision. It's a pretty well known thought that Portland is the deepest team in the league right now. They have so many good players under contract that they're basically having to throw them away.
Detroit has their old, championship contending lineup, then drop out for Stucky, Maxiell and the other young guns. There is no way you can even begin to compare Orlando. They have 3 Great players, and a mediocre PG/SG combo, and average to slightly above average bench play.
I'll give them credit, but only DUE credit

Top Depth in the league, I didn't give a ranking. Jason Richardson is a Top Scorer in this league. Not saying he's the best! You took what I said out of context.
catsfan,
Dick Vitale? HA!
JJ may not make Superstar status, but he isn't going to be a Kwame Brown suck show. He'll be a quality role player. A threat off the bench this year.
and please don't go by Stats. Stats don't show how good a player is. You have to watch. I know what I see. I may not know all the stats or contracts of players. But I know a good basketball player when I see one.
Washington with their starters are not a defensive team anyways.

Deshawn is pretty good at D
Caron Butler was 4th in the league in steals,Jamison was 22nd
Haywood was 12th in blocks
and Arenas in 07-08 was 7th in steals
and as a team, were ranked 12th in overall opponents turnovers last year, without Gilbert Arenas and Etan Thomas(who was there top blocker in 07)
so with all that, and with the return of Gil and Etan, and the growth of Blatche and McGee
are they a bad defensive team?
