Dead board no news so i thought i would see what your expections are for a few different players and where do you see us finishing in the east.
Your thoughts on each player
1 Morrison coming off ACL seregy ? Starter , sixth man , rotation player , beanch warmer.
2 May coming off knee seregy all so ? same
3 DJ Augustine , expections
4 A.A . , expections
5 L, Brown,
6 Where we finish in the east ,
Commit on just one or all , I will be trying to play the devils side on this thread.

1. Morrison will be lucky to see the rotation much less be a regular contributor.
2 May , Should and will be our starting poward foward . No other other p/f on this team is the same class player.
3 DJ , A poor excuse for a number nine pick in the draft . We should have took Bayless
4 A.A a great find and could be a starter by years end.
5. L,Brown could be just to old to be effective
6. We miss the playoffs and i see us finishing between 11 and 14 in the east.

Morrison - I think he'll do decent scoring wise this year. The rest of his game probably won't improve much so I'll say rotation player borderline 6th man.

May - I think he'll actually play some this year but I don't think we can count on him. If he does play at all I'll be happy so that is a plus I guess. He's definite starter material if he could hold up.

DJ - I like what I saw of DJ in summer league. I think he'll be forcing LB to play a 2 PG lineup at some point and by the end of the season he'll be LBs guy at PG (just a prediction) I have no basis as far as watching him in college to base it off of.

Frenchy - Loved the workouts. In summer league dude was way too lost out there to make me think he'll contribute much this season. I'd love it if he did though.

LB - He's awesome. One of my favorite coaches ever. I think he's perfect for this team and can't wait to see the level of difference between his offense/defense etc. vs our other coaches. It'll be laughable.

East Standing - I'd say about 9-12. We just don't have the talent. If we make the playoffs this year it's all on LB.

Morrison - I think he'll contribute more than what most of us think offense wise and will be better although not great defense wise.

May - I think he'll actually play some this year but I don't think we can count on him. I agree with this assessment. He's definite starter material if he can hold up. That's the big question if he can even play yet at all, we need some news on May.

DJ - I think DJ will be a big value to this team and may even take over the starting spot if Felts don't pan out like we are all hoping that he will.

Frenchy - Needs to learn a lot and gain some muscle, but he could still pan out to be pretty good, after all LB wanted him....

LB - He's awesome. One of my favorite coaches ever. I think he's perfect for this team and can't wait to see the level of difference between his offense/defense etc. vs our other coaches. It'll be laughable. Totally agree...

East Standing - I think we will make the playoffs at the 6,7 or 8 spot unless injuries are once again a big problem....

In my opinion...

Morrison 13ppg off the bench as a 6th man

May plays 43 games, takes about every other game off like othella, and averages 8ppg and 5rpg til shutting it down in late Feb due to complications from gout.

DJ- averages 18 solid mpg as felts backup, and has 6ppg and 3apg, and looks like a good find. I think this is the year that felts will bring it, and we will be happy to have him for a change

Frenchy-stuck at 12th man, contributing nothing except cheers, towels, water, and an occasional foul until he can bulk up. He becomes LB's new victory cigar taking the place of Darko.

LB-guides us to a 42-40 record, and is a finalist for coach of the year (doesn't win, but should)

East standing 7th and playoffs where we win one game vs the second seed Cleveland.

Instering post so far .
Most or all of you think a untradable Morrison comes back averaging 10 points plus per game. I don't think it's any way coming off ACL seregy he produces mutch . Hammer plays better defence has a better set shot and is in playing shape . Hammmer plays over Morrison , Thats why if we find a taker we should ship Morrison as quick as we can because he will get no playing time hear. Unless Rich get hurt.

Larry Browns coaching only adds five wins this year in a tougher eastern con. Bobs 37 wins tops unless trades are made.

Six points and three assist and backing up Felton all most any vetran could post that . We should have taken Bayless or Randolph.

Good topic Dave,

1 Adam Morrison - 12.5 ppg. I think that he'll start off very slow and pick it up in the second half of the season. He'll be a solid 6th man.

2 Sean May - I get the feeling that we won't see him on the court healthy at all this season. I hope I'm wrong, but thats the gut feeling that I have

3 DJ Augustine - By the All-Star break I'm willing to bet that there will be a thread on the board 100+ posts long arguing over who should be the starting PG, Ray or DJ. If he can find a way to survive on the defensive end of the court, then I think that he'll be very good very soon.

4 The Eiffel Tower. - 12th man, Will provide Crepes to Sean May on a daily basis.

5 LB - I think we'll see the Philly incarnation of LB more than the Knicks version. In NY he had a team full of idiots. Here we have a bunch of guys who after suffering through Biscuit-Pal-Ooza last year are eager for some real coaching.

6 We will finish 7th in the East.

Morrison - I really think Morrison will have a good year. He'll be a good 6th man off the bench. Should be instant offense. He seemed like a nervous player his rookie year. He has had time to focus and should play will a purpose now.

May - He is seriously the most questionable person on the roster. I have more hope for Ajinca then i do May. I'll go out on a short limb and say May has another bad year. He's out of playing shape and 58 games in three years isn't really NBA experience.

DJ - I want to put my vote in for DJ to be Rookie of the year. I seriously think he will hush the nay-sayers and ya'll be will jumpin on the band wagon with me. He's a smart player with good skills and will end up the face of the franchise in a few years.

Pepe Le Pew - I think after training camp and pre-season Ajinca will be more comfortable with the american style of basketball. LB has alot to teach this guy and if he improves any he'll be a plus off the bench. He needs to work out and get some fight into his french fry body.

LB - I have always been a LB fan and I have nothing but high hopes for what he can do for this team. The only thing i'm worried about is Larry is 68, How many more years can he have left?

East Standing - Playoffs, Franchise record for games won, first allstars, and we'll be somewhere in the 6,7,8 range.

1) Morrison gets around 20 minutes playing time and gets about 12 points per game. This would be great and make him one of our top reserves. I agree with the borderline 6th man comment earlier.

2) I would love to believe that May could finally get it together physically and be our starting PF. This is a best case scenerio I think. I don't think I even believe it anymore. Maybe, just maybe, he surprises most of us. If he actually plays more than 60 games (low % chance of doing so), I think he will actually average a double double. I think 10 points and 10 boards is certainly reasonable. The bigger question if he can play at all...

3) I think DJ will be so good that there will be a lot conversation about who should start by Christmas (and I think Felton will improve under LB).

4) Who knows...I certainly think he has plenty of potential and LB saw something in him. I remember LB said that if he had waited until 2009 to declare for the draft, he thought Ajinca would be a top 5 pick. His workout videos look good but I just haven't seen enough of him yet to form my own opinion. Until I do, I will go with LB and support him. It sure would be nice if he could develop into that PF we have all been wanting.

5) I love Larry Brown and think he will make at least a 5-7 game swing over Vincent. How couldn't he? I've followed the Hornets/Bobcats since '88 and this will be the most talented coach we have ever had.

6) I think a 40-42 record will be good enough for 8th in the East.

I agree, I would've preferred Randolph or Lopez here. I guess we will see, but since he is here I am rooting for him. I think Ray will take a big jump this year with LB though, and that is why I think DJ only gets 18mpg and 6ppg and 3apg.

If DJ gets 18 minutes per game, his numbers will be much better than 6 and 3 for sure.

100% agreement...
I really don't think Felton will improve as much as some of you think he will.
