I just saw on the ticker on Sportscenter that Arenas is going to miss somewhere between about 1-3 months of the season. He has had surgery on his knee to clean it up of some floating debris.

While I don't wish anyone injured, this certainly will change the look of Washington and in turn, probably help the Bobcats. I know they played pretty well without Arenas last year but he is an all-star and being without him can't be a good thing for the Wizards. I certainly figure that Washington is one of those middle of the Eastern conference teams that we will be battling it out with us for a playoff spot.

Agreed. They are figuring on late December or early January. That gives the Bobcats a pretty good chance to put some distance between us and them if we play like we are capable of playing. I dont like to celebrate someone's bad news, but it does help us, no doubt about it.

Poor Gilbert,

Washington, 76ers, and Atlanta were all suprise east teams last year. Miami is going to be trouble with a healthy Wade. Washington didn't improve any in the off season so we have a very good chance of getting a early lead on them.
