Good video and good read.
I can't believe we have a coach that knows things.

Portland East
One thing I did take from Larry Browns comments is that we will not be an uptempo team.
Yesterday I was excited about Wallace. Today, it's Richardson, Carroll and even Ajinca. I don't know if I could be any happier about the way things seem to be going so far.
Larry Brown's candor is awesome. I've never seen this exact style of coaching but I love it.
I'll say it again, barring major injuries, we ARE playoff bound! I feel more and more sure about this each and every day.

I was sort of thinking the same thing - but I think he more gets ticked off with quick shots in the half court set. Like the piece says, he's ok with a quick shot, so long as it is a layup.
He's been preaching getting the ball inbounds quickly off a score (something that Swish really pushed last year but no one else did) which to me, leads to quick transition ball and shots.
I think we'll still get up and down quickly, we'll just be expected to executed better in the half court set.

Exactly, I'm sure we'll push the ball when we can but if it's not there we'll get into our sets. I hope the one thing LB will be pushing into Felton's brain is to get the ball up the court and get the play running more quickly. He really frustrated me a last year because he had a tendency to walk the ball slowly up court and hang back way past the 3 point line when running a play after a made basket. Of course by then there is 14 seconds left on the clock and we're just starting our offensive sets. That puts you behind the 8 ball from the get go.

Something tells me Felton shouldn't have too much trouble getting the ball up and down the court (remember his UNC days?). Richardson and Wallace should do just fine in a fast paced game also.
I'm not too sure about our half court sets though. Wallace isn't a conventional type player, Richardson isn't the GREATEST ball handler either. I think we'd be better off at a faster paced game, but then again.. I'm not an NBA coach so what do I know?
