Preseason: Charlotte Bobcats at Memphis Grizzlies 10/10

I'm anxious to get that 38 point Orlando Magic beatdown behind us, so I'll go ahead and start up the Friday night's game thread against the Grizzlies

The things that I'm looking forward to seeing are
* Sean May's conditioning
* Adam Morrison's mobility
* Ray & DJ's grasp of Larry Brown's offense
* EVERYONE FINISHING THE GAME HEALTHY

We'll be matching up against these guys, what are your thoughts on Friday night's game?

I don't think this game is scheduled to air anywhere. I think the next televised game will be on the 18th on sportssouth.

Welcome to Bobcatsplanet , Jennings and Lewey . Feel free to jump right in and give your imput. As far as tonights game i have no idea if its on the web or not . I will try to find a link . If any body finds somthing please let us know?

I'm believe we'll see a completely different outcome tonight compared to Wednesday nights showing mainly because they all should come out playing with major chip on there shoulders. I expect for Mek to have his way against there big men and Ray should step it up against Conley jr. The best match up's on paper are Mayo/Richardson and Gay/Crash. To bad it's not on tv but it might be available on the league pass preview we just got to wait and see.

Also more burn for Ammo & Shannon please.

Thanks Dav. I think they will play a lot better tonight as well. I know this team will be alright shooting wise. To me they just looked like they were thinking too much and not just playing. I'm sure it comes from trying to learn all the new plays. Like Brown said, this team has some shooters. They just need to get more comfortable with the offense. I also agree that Ammo needs more time on the floor. His defense did look pretty rough but he made some shots. Hopefully we can find the game on the web or something. Just fyi, they will have the audio of the game on channelsurfin.com.

No only the grizzed radio with the horrible announcer. At least I herad Iavaroni saying they will try to avoid halfcourt play fast runs and try to score in first seconds of their offense. Simply pretty much the opposite what LB wants.

Mayo and Gay is useing us so far, Our offence and playing at a slow pace is going to take a lot of time to get down.

They're starting to work Mek finally. Their bigs are pretty soft (don't know about Gasol, but odds are he is too).

Maybe they've finally settled down.

Hehe:) Maybe. Because 3 years with May certainly doesn't make him ready for anything in the NBA. He acts like he's nba ready for the pro lifestyle but he still plays like crap on the court. Maybe it's just what they call TALENT, it's either you have it or you don't. :) Maybe he's not Pro-Material after all, even with the success he enjoyed in the amateur ranks. He can always blame the injuries he had, but being resilient and tough are vital characteristics of a successful pro-athlete in any sport.

It's obvious why LB is giving him more time. We need freakin' help when it comes to bigs. If this guy continues to play like this throughout the preseason then he's definitely making the roster.

It was clear L Brown is searching .A Brown steped up to the plate but thats just one game. And i would say hes in line for a spot over S, Brown so far.
Both points sucked again , Both are lost and trying to learn the system. Felton got to the basket better as DJ shoot the ball better. Both didn't look good in assist or turnovers

Davidson sucked again and if we could trade him for a ballboy we should . Same goes for Hollins. , Mays so far out of shape he cant guard a tree standing still.
I hear the coach likes Dudley but only plays him 4 mins both games whats up hear.
AA seemed to do ok and need playing time but got only 4 mins all so .
I think Mek is ready by his limited play . Him and Wallace might be the closest to fiting the system as of now,
Swish , Carroll, Morrison all loved the three , With neither taking advantage . S Brown out played all three of thease guys on the defencive side of the ball. Mayo just killed Swish in the first. Morrison guarding Gay just painful.
Though Brown is working all this out in his mind . And putting pieces of this large puzzle toghter.
I wouldn't rule out trades coming soon . As he trims fat off this squad . But i think he gives ever one one more game to start geting things toghter.. This might take 20 games for Brown to get the players he wants on the floor.

I think the reason Dudley and Lex haven't gotten as much playing time is because coach already feels they can fill the role that he needs them to fill. The coach's only real concerns right now are the starters playing the way he wants them to play and who is going to fill that PF spot. Maybe Andre will get the chance to play for us, but is he a starter? Maybe with our current roster he is, but we've only seen him play for a half-hour total. We'll see more of him on Monday, I'm sure.

7 more preseason games to go, and the hope would be that there's improvement for the whole team seen in each game. Everybody's gotta start hitting shots.

So far looking at how they have played in the first 2 games I'd like to see DJ start point along with A Brown playing PF in the next game just to see how it goes. May played worse last night than he did in the first game, is this a sign of how things are going to be? Although neither have really done much in the first 2 games I'd like to see DJ start next game and see what happens...:cool:
