Im new to starting a thread, so please bear with me if I screw this up:biggrin:

Taylor and Williams are waived. They are 2 of 5 players that didn't play last nite. My thoughts are this, maybe Coach Brown has Morrison, Hollins, and Davidson dangling as trade bait, since they were not put in to play. What do ya think?

I'm not too concerned with the Taylor and Williams cut...but Andre Brown has won me over in the back-up PF area...He's a good rebounder and can even shoot a bit so I wouldn't mind keeping him around with maybe a one year deal

Edit: I know its very likely they'll be cut, but has there been any formal announcement or link to it?

Good thread for topic .
Hollins , Davidson , Morrison or Carroll . None of thease guys is going to get cut no way. They all under garnteed contracts .
But i belive like you all four of thease guys are on the trading block.
Morrison , Bobcats would love to trade him . Problem hear is he has no value and no one wants to take on that five milion dollar contract. This could be good for the Bobcats though as he might get his legs back some timr during the season.
May i forgot to put hear all so . We might have a shot to dump him if we keep showing caseing him and he has a couple good games [ SOME FOOL MIGHT WANT HIM]
Carroll Slightly over paid but has a reducing contract . A team thet has a need for a three point expert . Carroll could be delt too.
Hollins , dont have much value at all . We couldn't get a decent p/f out of him but he could help as a filler.
Davidson , about the same as Hollins a filler . But right now a step below A Brown. A Brown we will keep as a number 15 player unless we can pick up or trade for a p/f be for season starts. I f we pick up another p/f be for season starts Brown will be cut ane we keep Davidson to save money.

That reduces the roster to 15, which is what most teams carry. I don't see why we should assume that these guys are actively being shopped, as the team needs bench depth; but if the right offer comes along....

Has the board completely given up on Davidson, Hollins, Morrison and May?

I think we're way premature dumping on May; he's coming off of microfracture surgery for crying out loud. When he's well, he's an extremely efficient player. If he can return to that; we'll need him. It's too early to call that case closed.

Davidson and Morrison have their talents; LB will need some of that on the long end of the bench.

Out of those 4 players, I think May is the only one that has a chance to succeed under Larry Brown.

I still dont see why the Bobcats would "love" to trade Adam...

for 1, he is a big draw. How many Wallace or Richardson jerseys do you see at games in minnesota? NONE....how bout Morrison? mor ethan the rest of the team combined
2. He has had 3 different coaches in 3 years.....lets se how he does with an actual coach

Davidson and Morrison have their talents; LB will need some of that on the long end of the bench. Not sure about the board but as I am concerned:
Davidson - I was pleasantly surprise by his play and attitude in this year summer league, now in pre-season he hasn't lived up my hopes/expectations. After all, I think he is still worth a shot at least until we need his spot for a better prospect. I won't think twice trading him in a big trade, especially if there would be some solving our PF problem. I'm gladly getting rid of these doubts and let Pounds :) estimate his value.
Hollins - He's a guaranteed contract by some accident now. I think many young players would be more useful. Yes he has some extraordinary physics but he better try some triple-jump again. I would prefer some purer center than him - maybe Justin Williams. We have way too many underweight big men and I think Hollins has the smallest potential. For me he is an open roster spot costing *his contract - something below 1M* and this spot can actually make some highlight happen in garbage time.
Morrison - I'm sympathetic with him and his mental issues, especially after his pre-season a year ago and the injury. But he looks more and more clueless hopeless case, so I'm losing my faith quickly. It's a shame. I think his rookie season was one of the major Bernie's mistakes. He played from day one, that was enormous pressure. (If I had to decide on his option, with limited information I have, I wouldn't picked up it)
May - If he actually performs I will be like "Hey look, someone outside of our rotation actually contributes. Well, no big deal. No need to get used to it." I think if our FO did everything right he wouldn't be on the team this year (too many picked up options).

I also think of the four Davidson has the most upside and could eventually be a 12-15 min performer....May and Morrison both strike me as injuries waiting to happen so it is not a like/dislike for me with them but more of that injury acceptance so for me they have little value for this team...but in the right circumstances I could see them both do OK in rotations....Hollins disappoints me the most since he could (IMO if he ever screwed his head on and decided to work hard) be a good player but it is either indifference, possibly lack of confidence, or he's simply satisfied to be in the league and has no motivation to improve his skill set...those are guesses since I"ve never met/talked to the guy but those are the impressions I get watching him.
