I swear I'm not pro-Johnson; he is a terrible public speaker, doesn't appear to have any common sense, whining about local businesses not stepping up and supporting the team like they should last in the Observer last April, and is a businessman before anything else, which conflicts with owning a sports team unless you're a Steinbrenner. Still, I wasn't all that put-off by video.

He acknowledges he's turned over all basketball decisions to MJ, and other than May, he got everything else right, even DJ's college. Yes, he skirted the ticket sales issue. What, would you rather he come out and say that sales are terrible? This could lead him down the path to whining about non-support and it'd look even worse. Instead of focusing on the negative of ticket sales, he focused on the positives the team has made in the off-season.

As for the joke about Cuban going first because he's got the team with the better record: I actually thought that was funny.

Mavs = good team = great ticket sales
Bobcats = bad team = crappy ticket sales

It's a good thing he ignored the question but seriously Scott May and "the field"??? WTF BOB JOHNSON!

All we can do is hope that's what he wants .... As a business man he wants to do it as cheap as he can get by with... But to have a winner it don't hardly ever workout that way.. Big bucks usually means a better team...We're headed in the right direction...
