OK. I guess no one is getting traded for a quality big man. We're just going to sign other teams rejects like everyone wants. Dont try to get better.

Yep. He's a winner. No reason to be bold and make any trades. Why take a chance on a bold move when you can take a chance on a turd.

Sexual assault issues too? Hey, great! A real keeper! This just makes me want to vomit. I'm gonna curl up in a fetal position and go to sleep!

How good did gerald look while he was saddled up on the bench in sac? the contract is unguarenteed, how does it hurt to check him out?
And you say bold moves, which to me sounds like rash moves, which in turn is a stupid move. Your not thinking straight if you believe that MJ and Rod are not trying to make this team the best that it can be. Its not quiet as easy as pitching felton for boozer, or working a 3rd team in there somewhere. We dont have to many tradeable assets, while we do have a decent core that with work could become very good, no reason to lose the bit of progress weve already heard.
Im so tired of people being impatient demanding a trade or something, phones ring every day with ideas and proposals that most never hear about. No one is trying to lose when they make a trade

this man can rebound: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/gamelog?playerId=3052
check out the games where he plays 10+ minutes. He almost always has 8+ rebounds. perfect.

No one is trying to lose when they make a trade Much of this I agree with. There's absolutely no risk at taking a look at the guy. It's not humanly possible to be any worse than Hollins, and Davidson's progress has been really disappointing, so I don't see any problems with this. And yes, I think MJ and Rod are working their asses off trying to find the right pieces for coach.
That said, I don't care about this guy's criminal background at all. If it was drug related, I don't mind giving a second chance, but "sexual assault"? I don't like the sound of that. Any information someone can find on this would be appreciated.

Was he found guilty? or is he any different from Kobe?

I even found that they did on camera so it looks more and more like a false accusation. He is probably not a classy character like some of our players but he (hopefully) shouldn't be an issue.
From what I found about him, I quite like it. He gained 50 punds after draft (from 210 to 260), always hustles, rebounds and is somewaht proven shot-blocker (even had some triple doubles at college). Had a good pre-draft camp. Offensively he doesn't do much, but finishes strong from his offensive rebounds (hello Emeka). And it is sadi he is kinda unselfish under the rim and can pass to his big man teammate. He has no other offensive arsenal except some underdeveloped jump shot. Terrible free throw shooter, maybe even below .400%. But I think he could be an upgrade over Hollins as our 3rd center, he is after all a big body (although a bit undersized), rebounds, has his 6 fouls, can be Brown's type of player and has an ungaranteed contract. Why not?

I honestly know nothing about this man and reserve my judgement till i see him actually play. THe Bobcats do have alot of high moral players. Our teams isn't the Bengals or Raiders so i'm sure the front office put some thought into the guys they pick. He's not a top player in this league but we kinda don't need that. This team needs people that will rebound and play smart defense.
But with another big man picked up, It's looking more likely Okafor will be playin the PF spot most of this year.

I doubt it (Emeka playing PF). I haven't noticed any minute of Oakfor-Mohammed duo under the basket during pre-season games yet.

Williams a very live body tonight. Great on the boards, two blocks . Great slam in less than four mins of play. I was wanting to see this guy in just for a few mins with OK50. I have a feeling this guy can defend the four . Can't wait to see this guy take the court again . If only to determine he was just a one night wonder. I was really impressed with his short span of play.

The guy looked pretty good to me, in the few mins he played. I liked his energy. Seems to be pretty athletic as well. Hopefully he will get more mins tonight. So far to me Hollins and Davidson look disappointing. On the game sat. night, I thought Mek looked like a had some fire back. I hear Larry is getting on him. That's a good sign.
