0-6, sigh... good times.
I know, I know. I'm worrying too much its just preseason. I need to calm down and not succumb to negativity.
Is there anything about tonight's game that could put me in a positive frame of mind? Lets see:g:

Of course I want us to win tonight but if we don't at least keep it respectable... If we play with the intensity we did last night and we cut down on the mistakes and missed shots we can actually win this unless Kobe is in some sort of a zone and hits 3 after 3 after 3.....:cool:

This double break in my humerus has me on high powered meds. I'll be out for the night b/4 the game is on. But my prediction is this:
If Ray continues to make stupid mistakes, and DJ shows he can run the show, we will ship Ray and another - maybe Ammo - for a quality PF and a good backup PG. It needs to happen sooner rather than later. Wait 1/3 of the season, and we'll be too far back to catch up. Needs to happen where we still have some preseason to gel together.
We will see what happens when I wake from LALA land about 4:00 AM. See you then!

I'm tickled with the game so far... JR and GW lights out; AB and Mek consistent. DJ vs Felts DJ is the better so far in assists and points and shooting % ..... Go Bobcats......!!!! :cool:

It's a hockey stat they started using last year.
It's meant to show the effect you have had on the game while you are on the court.
For eg, if the score is 10 Vs 20 when you check in and your team goes on a run and brings it to 18 Vs 20, you'll be +8.
But if you are 20 Vs 10 when you check in and the opposing team closes it to 20 Vs 18, you are -8
Make sense?

Thanks for the feed for those that posted it. I've just been able to follow the 2nd half, but we see to at least be able to produce on the floor. I've seen a couple slams by Gerald already. The color commentary you find in these forums is also invaluable.

hahaha agree. sure wish we could have gotten rid of okafor. He goes to the basket so weak. And a lot of his shots miss from 5 ft or result in a blocked shot.
Did he really not know that he got his shot blocked all the time? I hope he was being sarcastic.
pissy little reaching fouls like that shit me to tears. DJ's done it twice tonight. Swish did it a lot last year. There is NO need for it.

No kidding!! He looked great out there. He's had a pretty soild preseason from what I have seen.
I didn't know he was so explosive. He's more a combo than a point, but with a guy like Kobe on your team, that is what you are looking for I guess?

WOW Okafor really has no post game same move same result BLOCK! Learn how to fake Okafor God damn itThe only player on the team who seems to have any real post moves is May. The problem is that Brown hasn't tried enough to test May and see if he can be that threat.
AmMo has some post moves but not consistently. My thinking is that Larry needs to at least try to back May into the post and see what happens. If we could get a big man to show some back to the basket skills it would open things up a whole lot for the team imo.
It seems teams don't use the back to the basket skills of their players enough nowadays. Maybe I am just a bit obsessed with this way of thinking but I just find that having a quality low post scorer makes the rest of the team better. Tim Duncan is a great low post guy and because of that threat the Spurs are more versatile. We need a current player to step up in that way and if that is not possible we need a new player. If Okafor would learn to be a threat in the low post it would lessen our need for another 4 or 5.
My thinking is that Okafor is more of a 4 than a 5. A true 5 is better around the basket and that just is not Okafor. Actually I find that despite consistent double doubles EmOk is a bit overrated. The fact that he has virtually no outside shot says to me that he is at times a liability. Still Okafor's contribution to the team is important. I just wish he was bit more versatile. I hope a few expendable players step up and show some skills so their trade value goes up and we can get a solid 4 or 5 to be of assistance to the Bobcats.
