Now is it clear to everyone that this team needs a MAJOR overhaul and not just a tweaking? Something drastic, a couple major moves. Players that we love may have to go in order to bring in more productive players that are capable of playing as a unit. Cause right now this may be the worse team in the NBA.

in a word. no

I mean come on guys. It's pre-season. PRE meaning before the real season. If you thought that any single player besides andre brown, shannon brown or Coby Karl gave two balls about that game you are kidding yourselves.

they don't mean anything at all.

I saw some good things out there last night and some awful shooting. thats really all i can say about that game.

Did you not hear Doug Collins say that all of Brown's new teams usually get worse before they get better? That usually they'll start slow and then suddenly it'll "click"? Don't you think knowing this that it'd be a little premature to gut the team now?

I'm really pissed off at fat boy though, and it bothers me that Davidson can't seem to get off the bench (meaning it looks like there's no help at all from that quarter).

Still, we went over .500 to close out the season last year without his fat ass, so we can do it again with a platoon of Nazr, Duds, May for 7 minutes and Crash.

Or...short answer:

We should trade Felts and McMay for Eric Snow
We should trade Swish for Harrington and B.Wwright
We should trade Crash and Nazzy for Matrix (he's an expiring)
We should trade EO50, Ammo and Hammer for Z-Bo and Nate

Snow - Nate
Harrington
Matrix
A.Brown-Wright
Z-Bo

Then pick up FA's to round out the roster. I'm thinking Ruffin, Luke Jackson, Hodge, Sampson and

We'd be freaking AWESOME!!

Snow - Nate
Harrington - Hodge
Matrix - Jackson
A.Brown-Wright
Z-Bo - Ruffin

I'd like that trade...but don't think they would ever give up Boozer

I like that Chef, but dont think Utah would let him go for just those. Good thinking though. It beats the sarcasm of those who would rather stick their head in the ground like an ostrich and pretend everything is going to be just fine. There will be a lot of sad faces on the BP if we go into the regular season with the current roster.

there is word they are looking to trade him. he is in a contract year and may not resign or wants too much money for utah. maybe we can swap #1's or something like that to get the deal done.

Problem is most teams wouldn't want to make a deal with us that involves our 1st rounder since we already owe one to Denver.

we do? from the ajinca pick?

Yup, and since that's a conditional pick I'm not sure we can deal another 1st.

Actually I think the sarcasm is right on point as it brings to the forefront just how ridiculous some are being.

When you see a thread saying we should bring back The Idiot then you know the Chicken Littles have truly went off the deep end.

Look at first i was "happy" with the team we had and was ready to go head into the regular season. But after watching the Lakes game last night, Offense should be our #1 goal. Sean May is a total bust, He play'd 11minutes and didn't do anything. An rebound he got fell into his hands, He didn't go get it. Felton play'd like shit this whole preseason and still thinks he's a leader on this team. Someone needs to be traded. Changes need to be made. Even if this "just Preseason" they didn't win a game, Period. They play'd ok defense so far but turnovers and bad shots are killing us. We need a power forward with some balls that will actually fight these people for some rebounds.

BTW Morrison has play'd pretty good so far but i still think he's trade bait

No...THIS! is the deal to do if you want to blow up the team

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2772~509~2211~2753~568~3016&te ams=30~30~18~18~18~18&te=&cash= (http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2772%7E509%7E2211%7E2753%7E568 %7E3016&teams=30%7E30%7E18%7E18%7E18%7E18&te=&cash=)

Lineup after this trade.

C- Okafor/Ajinca/Hollins
PF- Lee/May/Davidson
SF- Wallace/Dudley
SG- Richardson/Brown
PG- Augustin/Marbury

Fillers complete the roster.

It's a good deal for starting over because:

1) It doesn't completely kill our roster as we would still have a decent team.
2) David Lee comes over and he's a nice player for this year and perhaps the future.
3) We would be taking 20 million dollars from just Marbury alone after this season, so we would have a shot at a stud like Carlos Boozer and have the money to keep David Lee.

Why does saying we have to make a move have to be interpreted as "blowing the team up"? No one has seriously advocated that. What we need is a pf who can give Okafor help on the scoring and rebounding. That alone will open up the floor for Crash and J-Rich also. But that one missing element has thrown off the entire rest of our game. Our defense is not that good. People are trying to play out of position b/c we dont have a damn pf. It is mess, but not something needing blowing up. Just the right move.

The topic sounds like you want to blow the team up . You started the topic[MAJOR overhaul] sounds like blowing the team up.
So i tryed to blow it up to see what kind of reaction come from it.
In all honsety we do need to look at geting a NBA quility P/F. That one glaring hole makes things look worse than they really are.
Im not worried nearly as much as Brown and M.J about the P/F PROBLEM.
I can tell we trying to showcase Morrison but im not sure it's working.

all we need is a pf. and we should try to keep ammo, i think he is going to be a good offensive player. at the very least he could be good trade fodder once his stock improves.

If that's the case, we have serious issues.

You'd think that all the players would be trying to prove their worth to the new hall of fame coach to line themselves up well for minutes heading into the season.

Nope, it sure isn't. We're 0-0 in games that count.

I'd rather them take it easy in the pre-season than end up with two season ending injuries like we had last year.

May's last year had nothing to do with playing hard in the pre-season, he didn't even make it to the pre-season.

Morrison's was from playing in the pre-season so you're half right. I can see the point you're attempting to make but I personally don't buy into taking it easy in the pre-season.

Well you might not buy into it but it's 100% true. The only guys that care and play hard in the pre-season are the guys who are trying to make the team.

No player with a guaranteed contract is gonna come out and say that he's not going all out but everyone knows this man, it's common knowledge.
