Let's make a deal Bobcats haters (you know who you are).

Personally, I and a lot of other members on here, are completely tired of the "time to make a change" type of cookie cutter threads that have been popping up because of the 0-8 pre-season record.

So how about this? Stop making these pointless threads, or better yet don't even post in the ones you made anymore UNLESS the Bobcats start the season 0-4. If we get to 0-4 then you are allowed to bash them all you want and hell at that point I might even join some of you depending on how those games were lost.

If we start 0-1, 0-2, 0-3 and then win our 4th game and are at 1-3 then you can't continue with the bashing.

Intelligent people can discuss the issues and their differences like adults. Running away from issues just b/c there are many differing views will never solve anything.

And I dont believe there are any Bobcat haters on this Board. Just people who want this team to win, but there are varying opinions on how to accomplish that goal. Try to see the other person's side b/4 you judge where their passion lies as a fan.

Thats 3-13 at best for our start (and still very doubtful at that) and MOST PROBABLY 0-16.

You have to understand that last year was last year. Teams have improve also, Mo williams w/ the cavs, J.oneal Raptors, Brand Philly, etc etc etc.


Some of us here want us to AT LEAST keep pace!!

Well said my friend. I will admit that I am being harsh, but it is because it seems to me we are regressing from what I remembered us playing at the end of the year. A new coach is not an excuse for the dismal play so far. I have seen stupid mistakes and lack of hustle from some, and that cannot be tolerated. And I only mean some, no all. I love this team and just want them to play up to capacity. And get rid of those who cant or wont.

As to the originator of this post (you know who you are), you're close to crossing the line here with your attitude toward BOBCATS FANS who have a different perspective than you. You've said and done some highly classless things here, such as your "bandwagon" post telling those who don't agree with you to "fuck off" more or less. It's nice to know you learned your rhetorical skills from the current president with the whole "you're either with us or against us" horeshit.

And being labeled a "Bobcats hater"? Dude, that's so fucking wrong and you've got some nerve to say such. I feel I can speak for myself and ohara when I say there aren't two people on this board who want to see the Cats succeed any more than we do. We're concerned and disappointed with how things have looked during the pre-season, and we've voiced those concerns. What do we get from fellow "fans" (you know who you are)? "Shut up, haters!" Read ohara's initial post here on how to carry on an intelligent dialogue, please.

My deal is this, I'm going to post my thoughts on our Bobcats as I have done since I've been a BCP member, as I see fit to post them. And if we don't all follow this same guideline, why are we even here in the first place?

I think this place has become about retarded as it gets since pre-season started.:confused:

This place calmed down after the draft (when I signed up) and it got to a good point where threads had some intelligence and the people seemed to be more mature with their ideas. But now... it's just become stupid to a point to where I just overlook the majority of these threads.

1) We do NOT need a new thread every 15 minutes bashing the team and saying "we need changes!!" Please, by all means, post those in the SAME thread so yall can cry together at once.

2) We do NOT need rebuttal threads from "staunch supporters" complaining about the naysayers. Use common sense guys, 0-8 is shitty no matter which way you look at it. YES, he is messing around with rosters, but still.. its bad

3) If you have something to post, please have consideration for the other people here. Starting eFights and Flame Wars is about as idiotic as it gets. Let's act like we have some sense and at least attempt to come together behind this team

Let's just chill out and give them some time to adjust to a coach (notice I didn't say NEW coach, because this is the first COACH we've had). If you're a real fan you will understand that there are up's and down's of every team. Basketball is a game of streaks and we just happen to be in a losing streak. CALM DOWN!
The team needs a solid fan-base, that means we need to SUPPORT them, not TRASH them for losing.

I know that's a lot to ask.. but I miss the BCP from a few weeks/months ago when everyone got along and we had a good time discussing the team, not arguing over it:rolleyes:

very well put swedd. that's exactly why i'm opening these threads, to try to convince everyone of that.

I also can understand your points Alex, I'm also disturbed by all of these "change, trade based" threads. At least we don't have to open so much threads because majority of them are actually same, you say. But who can categorize a thread, an idea pointless? Would you tell me? If you are saying that these "change" threads are pointless because it will change nothing in real life, which thread in this forum is meaningful then?

Although I generally don't agree with his/her ideas about the team, ohara said the just fine thing.

This is turning into an episode of Days of Our Lives. Ridiculous! Alex, the thing you're not getting is whether we're for or against their moves...we all are still fans of the Bobcats and we want what WE think is best for the Bobcats organization.

No one in here wants to see the Bobcats be bad and no one here is "hopping off no wagon" because to be honest Alex...THERE'S NO WAGON FOR THE BOBCATS! Wagons are only for teams who make the playoffs. We all became fans realizing that a playoff trip wasn't going to be easy. I helped out at Bobcats Fans (and now own it) and I followed them so hard and damnit I love this team even if they only won 30 games...I wasn't happy with 30 wins, but I love this team!

Alex, I love your optimism about this team and I enjoy reading positive posts in the face of grim events happening. I also enjoy reading posts about people thinking a change needs to happen. They care enough to the point of trying to find a trade that would HELP the Bobcats; They're not making trades to make them worse and continue to be one of the league's worst.

I hope to God the Bobcats kill in the regular season because we'll be all united by our love of the Bobcats as they fight for a playoff spot. It's a long season, but Alex please be open to opinions that don't agree with yours.

I'm not going to call it hate for the team because I don't think that's what it is IMO it's frustation combined with of a lot of really high expectations this year for our team. I can't speak for everyone else but I myself as a sports fan want to see the best possible showing from my favorite teams night in and night out it's not realistic for them to do so but it's how I feel. When we don't get that from them it's not wrong to display your frustrations on a message board because hell that's why forums were created. This would be a boring place if everyone agreed or disagreed with each other at all times. With that being said though I have in fact seen a lot of overreacting mainly coming from those fans that honesty believe we are in worst shape now than last year with Vincent which I disagree with completely but that's their opinion & I wont hold judgement.

ill say i am unsatisfied, but still excited about the team. I got really sick of the posts stating, "we need to make a move. Lets make a BOLD move. We need to do something now. How come nothings being done..." so this summer/fall i took a break from the forum. These kind of comments are basically bullshit that offers no suggestion or solution and they really are baseless, I would like to remind all bobcat planeters, we dont know it all. MJ and rod are constantly on the phones trying to improve this team, but when I hear bold, or quickly, i hear stupid and set-back.

we all know this roster isnt championship ready. but we all are here because we want them to win. so talking about it, discussing it, whatever is great and should continue, whether or not one has doubts.

at the same time while we are ranting, i understand liking a player, but I would really love it if some actual perspective was brought to discussions, no rampant adam morrison will be the best player on the team soon he just needs a second chance. Thats far beyond reality.

We don't agree on a lot of issues but we still respect each other. If this site wasn't special people would have all ready run me off attacking my gramer and spelling . But people hear respect each other and don't attack personaly.
Alax i respect your post and read most of them and you have a lot of good ideas. If you see somthing you don't agree with thats cool . But i all so respect the ideas and rights of all the other Bobcats members agree or not . I don't have to read them.
I personally feel what you are reading is flusteration. From hard core members like me , who just wanted and hope for a better start . As i am a season ticket holder and continue to post regardless, im a hard core fan as is most on this site . So if im talking about trades blowing up the team it comes from disapointment . Or even getting rid of a HamBiscuit coach it's because we care . And care a lot if it wasn't for careing ,none of us would be hear venting our flusterations, and sharing out joys.
My hope is we can disagree like brothers and sisters . Its OK to disagree with family . But its no way any out sider comes in and jumps on any part of our Bobcat family.

While I haven't been here that long, I've been a regular ever since I've joined and I like to think I've become "one of the guys". dav is exactly right, and built on my previous post perfectly. This site really IS special. I'm part of other forums and such but this is one where everyone really DOES get along, we don't always agree, but we're mature and are able to discuss the topics the correct way. Don't ruin the place that so many of us have made great by arguing like Kindergartners lincoln logs.:biggrin:

This is the only forum of any kind I post to because there has not been any flaming (which I hate) since I've read and posted here. I think we're all fans of the same team and all want the same thing and that's for our team to become better and win! I never expect anyone here to agree completely with my take and I know that I will not with anyone else (100%) of the time.
