Still undefeated at home too man it wasn't looking good for us at half but that was one of the most exciting second half come backs looking good going into the bye week :D
Plus the Bucs lost to the Cowgirls all we need now is for the Saints to give there current CBS game back to the Chargers.

That was a great game, Great come back. The defense was pressed all game but they hung in when it counted. Delo was impressive today, over 100 yrds. He and Stewart when we finally get back a full healthy O-line will beat teams up later in the year. Steve Smith as always made me jump out my chair in excitment. I've also for the last couple weeks been trying to pay attention to Godfrey to see what makes him the starter and he came up big plenty of times today. I was very proud of the Panthers today, I didn't feel they showed up to play last week.

I loved to see Jarrett finally do something this week too. I love the catch over the middle in the 4th and taking the hit after. Perhaps he will be the guy we hoped when we let meshawn go? It just seems like we have that something to us so far this year, kind of like 2003. We should be 8-2 with our next 2 games vs the raiders and lions. It gets a little tougher after that, but if we end up 12-4 I will be very excited to see what damage smitty and company can do in the playoffs (knock on wood)

Glad you brought up Dwayne Jarrett ReesieNC I said over at the Huddle that he should move ahead of DJ Hackett for the following reasons. First of all he's another big target & he's tough as shown by that amazing catch he made yesterday taking that huge rib shot in the process, has great hands as we saw at USC and in the limited time we've seen him here when he gets playing time. He catches damn near everything that's thrown his way. Last but not least he has the potential to become a stud blocking wideout just like Moose. His time will come he just needs more reps and continue to earn Jake's trust.

Yeah!!! The Panthers have been playing real well. There was lots good to see all around. The D didn't quit and neither did the O in the 2nd half. Kasey just played like Kasey. Everything came together for a real solid win.
On the Jarrett note. I noticed in the New Orleans game that the first offensive play of the game went to him. I think that was worth noting, because it shows he's becoming trustworthy in that role. Hopefully, he continues to improve and mature. I think Moose is a great influence on him and that will guide the process.
All in all, it's time to bring on the Raiders!

Kasey signed a four year deal...He'll probably be kicking for us till he's 65 and the league makes him retire.
Note on Jarrett: Have you noticed that every catch he has made has been for a first down and they are usually important 3rd down plays that keep the drive alive. Jarrett has good hands, He's a big body, and should get the 3rd WR spot over Hackett who has basically been hurt all year in one way or another.
Where's Ryne Robinson?

That was pathetic if that was a solid offensive team we woud have got blown out major props to DeAngelo Williams and Julius Peppers everyone else was still on the bye week it seemed.
If we don't blowout the Lions next weekend I'll be pissed.

Those were my thoughts exactly following the Oakland game. We played awful, hopefully got a wake-up call, and still got the win (good job defense). I want this team to beat the ever-loving crap out of the Lions next Sunday.

Even if it's not a blow Vs. the Lions just don't them get there first win against us.
BTW the game was moved to a 4:15 kickoff

8-2 feels damn good IMO the only reason it was close was because of the refs horrible calls in the second half. Jake and the recievers (not named Smitty) have to step it up and match the intensity of the running game though if we are going to continue to hold the NFC South #1 spot
Peppers is playing like a MVP contender though

How about those running backs!?!?!??!??!?!??
Awesome game for them. Again, picking up for the passing game's less-than-stellar performance.
This team just keeps on chugging along picking up wins.

Cupcake time is over now, we get to visit ATL next week, and every team afterwards is tough too. I was hoping to see Tampa take a loss here or there, b/c if they are tied with us then they have the tiebreaker (unless we beat them at BofA) I think the NFC south is better than the east top to bottom, you just have smaller markets down here, so you don't hear about it as much. I like that we are a quiet 8-2, it goes to the panthers heads when media tells them how great they are. I just want to keep it quiet til playoff time, then shock the rest of the NFL.
The game @ the giants will be the real test. The last big pass rushing team we faced, minnesota, killed us, so Jordan and the boys need to do a great jobs vs the G-men's front 4. I think if we can establish the run early it will neutralize their pass rush, and we will win, so Otah and Kalil need to stay healthy. I'm looking ahead, so I'll think about that game when it gets here. Next week we can't have a let-down vs the solid Falcons. It just sucks that we will have to face Ryan for years to come, and I'm not looking forward to playing against Brees and Ryan for 4 out of the 16 games from here on out.

Whew! Fought hard to get that win today against GB. My lady's a Wisconsinite and she loves her Packers (Please, save all jokes until the end of the post!), so this was an especially fun game to watch for me.
How about Peppers' hit on Rodgers??? Immediately afterward, I was pissed, but once we had actually won the game I thought about it and really enjoyed it. Props to Rodgers for getting up and brushing that one off.
Smitty was nuts on that grab late in the game, and D'lo was solid as always. Great to see composure maintained by the Panthers throughout the game...
... with one notable exception. What do you think went down between Harris and Smith that resulted in that wrestling match?
In any case, this win was great, but it still ONLY means that we MUST destroy the Tampa Bay *uckaneers on the national stage next Monday. I know my parents will be at the game. Maybe some Muttley family presence will provide a little luck our team's way!

I see us coming out really pumped up next week considering how they kicked our ass on the last meeting. This IMO is the biggest game of the year. Pressure on Garcia and protecting Jake giving him time to pass will be the keys to get 10 W's.
Deangelo "Dash" Willams has surpassed all my expectations though he's really become a all purpose Brian Westbrook type back. Best Panther rusher since Davis?
BTW we resigned Chris Gamble to a 6 year extension that leaves Pep and Gross remaing to possibly be resigned.

So, basically the opposite of what we did last time?
Good to hear on Gamble, I hope he earns each of those 6 years. Though, I feel that Peppers and Gross will be more significant for us to sign.

Yeah we have to get TB back for the big defeat in Tampa earlier this season. Yeah we do need to resign both Pep and Gross.... Im still kinda upset at our defensive back field for letting so many completions be made against us... Those guys have got to tighten it up or we will never have a chance against NYG when we play them....

Fuck another INT for Jake and now it's a ball game.
Amazing play call to get the TD 17-10 us
Our Defense plays so soft sometimes it's annoying 17 all
There is no doubt in my mind that Smash and Dash are the best RB tandem in the NFL making the Bucs defense look stupid on every play almost.

Are you watching how crazy they're going? They just rushed for what, 60 yards in 3 plays? I wouldn't call them smash and dash, I'd call them Smash and Get the fuck out of the way or I'm going to make you look like a Junior Varsity defensive back. And yes, that goes out to Mr. Pretty Boy Barber.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Back to back putting a truck stick on this dude like he's one of those practice dummies. The Panthers seriously do have the best RB tandem in the league.
BTW, 301!!!!!! rushing yards tonight, which sets a franchise record... all against a top 5 total defensive team in the league.

All signs point to this being a trap game coming off of the huge Monday night victory & having to face the defending Champs next week hopefully we aren't overlooking Denver. We should have an advantage running the ball since Denvers rush defense is pretty bad. What worries me is their great corner backs Vs our elite/very good wide receivers. Also whether or not our secondary is up for the challenge this afternoon because if not Cutler will pick them apart with his outstanding passing. Lucas, Gamble and Marshall ALL need to step it up.
I'm expecting a high scoring shootout game 31-28 Cardiac Cats

See Jake that's how you run the offense he was outstanding passing the ball today wow. Props to the D in the second half shutting down Denvers offense especially Charles Johnson. A 11-3 we just need the Little Giants to beat the Cowgirls to help us out even more. 8-0 at home as well I pray we get home field advantage in the playoffs.
