Why does this work for Detroit? Billups has been the guy for them in big situations over the last what? 7 years? McDyess has been solid at PF/C for them. Could we see Banana Hands start tonight if it goes down and they are missing some people?

Iverson's $ 21.9 million contract is expiring. So is Rasheed's 13 million. They'll clear a gigantic $ 35 million from capspace, after that they'll be around $ 38 million, this is a position in which they can sign Boozer + a quality FA and keep Walter Herrmann with the team. A great starting point for a "semi-rebuilding".

From Denver point of view, this is a very successful trade IMHO. Ivy-Melo duo was not effective, and I believe Billups-Melo duo will be a lot efficient. But I wonder, aren't we talking about the same Nuggets which traded Camby for nothing, only for the sake of luxury tax? Still 3 years left on Billups' contract with a team option at 4th.

This is definitely win now for the Nuggets. Camby was expensive and I think the Nuggets were happy enough to play Nene and Martin in the middle. Camby was a luxury they simply couldn't afford.

I like the trade for both teams. The Pistons believe in their young guards. They get a chance to shed a lot of salary, sell tickets this year, and put themselves in a strong position next year. The Nuggets might not be as strong without Camby. However, they get a much better floor general in Billups and a little more depth with McDysee.

Very interesting trade. I hadn't paid enough attention to either team to see this coming.

Iverson is a score first type of player. I really don't see him fitting well with Detroit. Billups will do very well in Denver however. McDysee isn't going to contribute that much anyway so...I'd give Denver the edge in this trade. I've no idea why Detroit would do it. I mean A.I is great, but he's gonna rob everybody else of their shots and then you've got a hornets nest of pissed of millionaires, wanting to pose for the highlights. Don't you think?

Big shot was as well Dumars likes those types of points I'd rather have AI over him personally

Why is it that Detroit, who wins Championships and always contends, can ship out a major player to make themselves better, but no one here wants to ship off any of our "Big 4"? J-Rich is the only one I consider as "not on the block". Everyone else is game if the price is right. But no give aways - the deal has to be fair. But for the love of God people, dont over value our players. None are All Stars, and J-Rich is the closest. Not even Crash, who can have the occasional All Star worthy game, but too few and far between.

Man, with AI and Sheed on the same time, they won't be the Pistons, they'll be the Pistoffs

I like looking back on some of these trades. I would have to say Curry new that Stuckey was capable of leading this team. AI in one of his latest statements talks about willing/wanting to accept another role other than scoring. Stuckey has the chance to be the next Deron Williams.

J-Rich untouchable? Yep, I sure called that one right did I not? LOL. Oh well, I think the trade is actually going to work out in our best interest as Diaw is playing solid for us, and helping Crash and Okafor. And Bell is starting to find his shot and his Defense is very solid.
