Yes.
With his presence at the games lately, which is awesome and evidence that Larry is in the man's ear, it would appear that MJ is taking his role more seriously this season. The team seems to play better with him watching, and the crowds will use it as even more reason to go to the arena on any given night. Does he have enough money to actually be majority owner? I know he's made a damn mint in his career, but BJ's a billionaire (or at least he was before he purchased the team). Still, if Michael could do it, I would support it.

He's made some really long money, but I don't know if it's in the Bob Johnson stratosphere. If anything, I would envision it being like the original Larry Bird group that wanted the franchise. Jordan would probably have more backing from minority owners, and he would be the face of the franchise. I have a feeling the other minority owners would pony up to help get rid of BoJo.

I'd be for it, but I worry he's such a competitor, he might turn into an Al Davis-type where he goes through coaches like Kleenex if they happen to lose more than 3 games in a row.
Still, the fact that he's sitting with the guys at home games and went to NY with them shows he's making this a full-time job....and to my own surprise (see previous posts about MJ needing to appear at Cats games) I think it's awesome as all get out!!! Maybe with this sort of commitment from MJ, he can get Larry to stay here for all 4 years of the contract!!!!!

I will say if MJ takes this team and keeps coming to the games . He will add at least 500 butts per game . Just him being the owner and taking a active role means more fans.
I love the fact hes siting with the team this year.

If he keeps showing some sort of steady presence at games to publicly show his support for the team AND he relies on smart basketball people to make the basketball decisions, then I'm all for him becoming the majority owner of the 'Cats

you got to love a guy that wants to be the man in charge....he may not be the best gm but at least he likes the team and wants to be a part of it....i would be worried we would turn in to the jerry jones..al davis type of owner....scary

I heard Ric Flair on Packman's show yesterday, and he said when he was at the game the other night, he was more mesmerized by Michael Jordan than by what was actually taking place on the floor.

This season so far, MJ seems highly involved in making himself seen. That's a good thing.

i think it is a great idea. MJ was the best player in basketball. If he becomes the main man in charge more people will come to the games and it would be great for the team

If he would own the team I hope he could change the name to like the Cougars or something more better than the Bobcats.

Anyone who has ever picked up a basketball at one point in their life, has wanted to be like Mike. The only problem is, that MJ really never felt like a big celebrity, and you obviously didn't want all the unwanted attention that came with, IDK being the best basketball player in the history of the game. I think him being at the games has more with the people who have big money in the organization realizing how much more money they can earn with him being there, then him wanting to be there.

I like it. Bob has never really been into it or connected and he definitely has made some bad moves. I'd like an ownership group led by Jordan with some business/sales oriented minds involved. This team is not making money right now, even with the job cuts. I don't know all of the ins and outs of the thing but something needs to happen, something needs to improve on the business side of things. Basketball is in good hands, as long as the FO decisions are done by committee with some "sense" guy involved. As I'm typing I'm watching PTI and Tony and Wilbon are talking about Marbury buying the Knicks. Come on now Starbury, get serious.

I am all for Jordan taking over.. but you guys need to keep in mind that Jordan right now probably has more say so in the day to day activities than Bob does.
So even if Jordan did buy the franchise... there wouldn't be a whole lot of change.

Have you heard of the Thunder? What does the Thunder do? "Oh man, look out for all that noise coming from the sky." "No honey, that's just God bowling" The Oklahoma City God Is Bowling.
