Tonight at the cable box we have the Denver Nuggets coming to town. The Nuggets have looked good since they traded AI for Billups, they won their last two games and are currently 3-3. Despite that, If we can play as well as we've played in spots then I think that this is a very winnable game.

No word on whether Sean May and his 52 inch waistband will finally be activated for tonight's game.

Well, let's see, in past two games the Nuggets have averaged 3.5 3pt FGs per game on a less than stellar .250 shooting, so I'm thinkinkg if Emeka and the rest of the inside crew can keep the paint clogged and Carmelo-free it's a sure win. This is one game where I think that post defense consisting of Emeka, Sean and (potentially) Eddy ::chills:: would prove to be adequate.

Chauncey is also cold with the FGs, shooting only 7 of 30, so keepin' him out of the lanes should be a priority (seein' as he went 13 of 15 from the charity line), and let's hope Carmelo gets food poisoning or something in that milieu.

For 1 he has hardly any lift/elevation when he's being bodied up so when there is contact he's out of whack which forces him into tough/bad shots which inadvertantly ends up getting swatted.2 he hardly ever fakes and has bad footwork/placement.3 he does the same frickin shot,a right handed hook which also looks ugly, out of whack

1)I'm pretty sure my 140lb brother could block Okafor. It's the same number of steps and shooting hand every time. And there's never a fake. He might mix it up sometimes, but really, he needs to vary it a lot more.

Their best players were on the bench as soon as they returned they started to cut the lead because Melo started to heat up and can't be stopped. Not to mention the foul trouble which has obviously took away our defensive intensity we played with in the first half.

I'm not saying Adam was at fault any, but facts are facts, Adam Morrison is never going to run around players in the NBA, he doesn't have too. He can be a good player and never dribble. And he was a damn good college player, but saw was Mek. We don't have a very talented team, and we are playing as good as we can. Ammo did play pretty well. He was a liability a lot of the time but he made up for that somewhat with doing what he's expected to do...put the ball in the hole and at a good %.

I also thought Crash had a good game, but letting Balkman go off like he did takes a lot of that away.

Felton...off and on. After he got those 3 3 ptrs out of the way I thought he was doing pretty decent...and then he got into foul trouble and never got past it.

Swish started out great...then the foul trouble...then tried to take it all on himself. This game actually makes me feel better about him going forward.

Duds...fairly solid. He played Melo decent, but Melo is an all star and an undersized SF can only do so much.

Mek...disappointing. He seemed a little hesitant going against Nene. I wish he'd have plowed into him a couple times and tried to get to the FT line.

Most of the rest were disappointing and not really worth a mention.

i don't think Carroll is necessarily a bad player per se, but he does not belong in our roster right now...maybe on a more complete team that needs someone off the bench to hit some 3s. For our team, Carroll is a basically an overpaid JJ Redick

Morrison on the other hand can contribute well to our team based on his greater offensive flexibility

On another note, i hate duke but watching them blow GA Southern makes me feel better about our loss

I love MC too but I agree. He doesn't fit here now. I want that NJ-CHA trade to go down soon

I gotta defend adam here.....let me ask you a question.
Did Morrison put the ball on the floor well in college? Yes he did. he put up 28.5 ppg. Yeah it was college but his game is an NBA game. He can put the ball on the floor just as well as any similar player to him ala Dirk Nowitzki or Hedo Turkoglu. all he needs to do is takes two dribbles then either pull up hit a runner or pass the ball. And thats what he does.

DONT blame Adam or Matt at all. These guys are doing exactly what Mr Hall of Fame coach is telling them to do. Blame LB if anybody.


First this aint college and the NBA is on a whole nuva level(thought i might sound like that guy on MadTV),second Turk has much better handles than Morrison he can penetrate deep into traffic and finish with efficiency,thirdly please don't compare Morrison to Dirk or Turk ever again till Morrison averages their numbers for at least 1 full season.

I was at the game and the BOOS started on Augustin . The kid played like a rookie and he just could not drive and dish at all . He must of had at least three shots blocked , And had at least five very bad passes , More like ten bad passes not all turn overs on him but puting the ball in tough spots. Felton played more like a pro but being in foul truble killed him.
We had no post game at all and no one could drive to the basket . I don't know how many threes we took but is was too many .
Morrison was seting too many screans instead screans should be set for him . Hes not that good of a set shooter . Hes better catching the ball off a screan or one or two dribbles and shooting. Over all he had a nice game .
May played about 2mins he looks like hes lost about 10 pounds to me. Rich played ok but i think he tryed to do to much in the 4th. If we had any inside presence to go along with Rich and Wallace we would be a much better team .
Mek gets dubbled off Dudleys man ever time he touches the ball. They dare Dudley too shoot . It kills our inside game . So as bad as Meks numbers are some of its due to us being weak at the four. The kid Alexas did ok in the first half . I would like to see more of him and Mek toghter. And less of Augustin and Felton toghter.

During one timeout in the 3rd Quarter I thought Larry Brown might have a stroke the veins in his neck were bulging out so much. He really let into DJ and then proceeded to give it to the rest of team as well.

These guys are on a run right now where they come out gangbusters and then relax. That needs to change.

For some reason DJ seems to think he can drive straight through the paint around 6-10 guys and shoot layups. He can't. Sure he can get around them; but he can't shoot through them.

For some reason DJ seems to think he can make 3's from the corner. He can't.

Morrison looked great in the 1st half, shooting 4 out of 5 and moving well. His running floater is a really nice shot when he finds space. He can't force it though or he'll likely give it up. Second half, Adam shot 1 for 6 and missed one particularly critical 3 late when the team was poised to make a final run. As the crowd rose to their feet - Adam lets the shot fly and ... - BONK - end of game right there. So Morrison didn't really give us any advantage at all in the 2nd half; but nobody else did either. JRich tried, but he was out-numbered.

Everytime Okafor misses a 5 foot shot, I keep thinking, "he sure ain't Tim Duncan, is he?" He takes many of the same types of shots, but unlike Tim, his rarely go in.

Way too much Nazr tonight. Man, he's looking slow.

Billups really enjoyed playing against DJ; and seemed ecstatic when LB inserted Shannon Brown at the point. Billups just smiled and went and took Brown out at midcourt. That was it for Shannon at PG.

Billups was just too strong and too good for DJ tonite. Nothing flashy, he just stayed in front of him. That was enough.

Couldn't figure out why the Bobcats weren't setting any screens for each other after the 1st Quarter. They seemed to forget about that.

It's cool to see the respect LB gets from opposing players before each game. There's always one or two that come over and give him a big hug. I don't recall anyone hugging Vincent much.

Another strange game from a strange team. I just can't figure this team out; I mean, this wasn't a good showing at all by a not-all-that-good Nuggets team to begin with and we still lost?!? It was a graveyard in the middle tonight against a very small team. Mek struggled against Nene, but Nene didn't set the world on fire either, so.....

They (and Coach, I'm assuming) forgot about the pick and roll after the 1st quarter because I didin't see it happen, just lots of dribbling and passing and standing along the perimeter.

Nazr is worthless and Lexy should be getting his PT.

Very little movement in the offense which didn't help a struggling DJ. They talked to JD in the locker room after the game, and he did a good job ripping the team for the lack of movement and jacking up 27 3s while getting to the line only 17 times.

Last year, we were 4-3 after 7; this year we're 2-5 with a better coach and better roster. Like I said, strange team. We'll see where it goes from here and hope for better things Friday...

this team is so hot/cold. even in our worst losses, some good moments. mek & jrich dont seem to be fitting at all out there to me. i don't like felton/dj together either. it seems like our starters are the lest effective ensemble. a mixture of the bench always seems to out perform them.

we need to pull it together for more of these games, cause damnit, we need some wins. and for god's sake, if we're gonna make a trade, get it over with. there were a few moments (watching on tv) tonight where Crash seemed obviously distracted. that one on the bench on the 2nd half said it all.

ammo- another good outing. he's the best development so far this year, hands down. if they trade him, i quit the team.

It's a wonder LB didn't grab a couple of players by the ear and lead them off the court at the end of the game. Be interesting to see how many they take in the next couple.
