What do you think of this trade

This trade will get the 3rd point gurad LB has been looking for and an extra big. Bobcats is also looking at a big man that can score. Brendan Wright should do well in that spot. Another good thing is that we are getting Steph's expiring contract. That is an extra 20 million we can throw towards a decent free agent.
Just want your honest opinion on this?

That's interesting, but I don't think any of those teams would want what they are getting.
NY doesn't want to have $8M locked up over the next few years in Carroll and Nazr. Harrington would be good, but I'm not sure they'd want him more than David Lee.
GS is looking for a pg more than anything. I don't think they want another SF or PF, especially a PF with a lower ceiling than the one they'd be giving up in Wright.
Lastly, we wouldn't want Marbury because of the distraction. Yeah, we'd save a lot of money after this year, but we'd also have to convince a big time free agent to sign here but still not be able to offer as much as many other teams. Wright would be nice, but Binelli more or less duplicates Ammo's talent.
Meanwhile, we'd lose one of our best players who has a reasonable contract.
I just don't see it from any of the team's point of view, although NY would probably love to rid themselves of Marbury. Who knows?

Just cut Marbury and sign some crappy PG to fill the void. The cap relief would be huge for the Bobcats

NY ain't trading Marbury's contract unless they get another expiring contract in return, or something very very useful for them. Not Carroll's and Mohammed's huge long terms.
This trade makes sense only for Warriors and I'm also doubtful about this.
I don't really know about how that trade would make any sense since it wouldn't address our needs that much (Wright is not a big man...). I came up with this playing around with the trade machine:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1994~2754~682~1978~1781~2211~1 026&teams=25~30~10~10~30~22~22&te=&cash=

Now, I don't really want to blow up this team, but I do like playing with the trade checker. So, here's a couple trades that I've fiddled with.
What about something like this: CHA-NYK-LAC (http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2776%7E568%7E1017%7E312%7E1982 %7E3018&teams=18%7E18%7E12%7E18%7E30%7E18&te=&cash=)
LAC gets Randolph, who they apparently want.
CHA gets Kaman, who we apparently have interest in. At this point, I think he'd help, especially considering what we'd be giving up.
NYK would be getting Nazr (whose contract is the same length as Randolph's but for about $8.6 million less) and about $6 million in expirings. In addition, their total incoming salary is a couple million less than their outgoing, so that would help them financially immediately.
I'd hope we'd try for something like this, rather than trading crash.
The trade also works replacing Matt for Nazr (http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1017%7E312%7E1982%7E3018%7E221 1%7E2776&teams=12%7E18%7E30%7E18%7E18%7E18&te=&cash=). Now, some of you may say, "but Matt has such a long contract! No way NY would go for that." However, he makes less than Nazr this year, making their payroll even smaller than in the trade above, and his salary continues to decrease every year, which I think they'd like. Also, I think that Matt would work best in a D'Antoni system. I like the second version the best because we keep our back-up center (though he hasn't been overly impressive lately). Problem is, if we offer Matt, then they will ask for Adam, who I wouldn't want to give up.

Muttley...I like the trade but NY has a ton of players under contract...they send out one player and take back four...not sure they would do that...but again I like the trade...

Yeah, I just figured that they're willing to cut people anyways. If they're planning to wait around for someone to hand them a single $14 million expiring contract in exchange for Zach Randolph, then they're going to find themselves waiting for quite a while. I think the fact that their incoming salary is less in total would help them be okay with cutting the players they bring in.
You could be right...and if they save anything on Starbury they might be more willing to eat contracts to get rid of ZR...I like the trade and it could fly since NY and the Clippers need a middle team to pull it off...
with the numbers randolph is putting up in d'antoni's system, i think the knicks might wait to see if they really want to deal him. the last couple games he's been putting up 20/15+.
