awesome toss up question on PTI, Dicier Trade: mamma.com or Jason Kidd? HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!! Screw the Mavericks! Tony said Kidd because he could be shown innocent on the mamma.com case. Kidd was a horible signing/trade. I can't even remember what all they gave up for him. Cats in a close one tonight. I changed my mind from the blog. By the way what do you guys think of the blogs?

I remember being at a Hornet game once where we were down 32-8 at the end of the first. Came back to win that one.

Of course that was an LJ/Zo team, but still. Good times.

Okafor being outscored and outrebounded by Dampier. But at least he got his $! Geeze, I am fearing we got hosed. Does he not want to play ball anymore or what?

It's hard being a Bobcats fan...

dnbman
11-18-2008, 10:34 PM
Just remember: We didn't become Bobcat fans because the games were easy, or superstar players, or because we made shots or rebounded well. And we didn't become Bobcat fans because of high scores, entertaining offense, and a knack for solid defense. We don't come here because of a ball being dribbled, passed around, and then shot through a big orange hoop.

No sir. Let us not forget the real reason we're Bobcat fans:

the free sex and drugs.

Keetch
11-18-2008, 11:48 PM
ssshh Dnbman only the season ticket holders know about that......

Usually the sex and drugs are pretty good at the TimeWarner Cable Arena; but tonight not so much. I think everyone was just too tired after working all day and then the only drugs they had were downers and that left a lot of folks with dark thoughts.

What a waste of an evening. Good night.

P.S. I will have nightmares of Dirk Nowitzki shooting over Jared Dudley tonite while Hollins sits on the bench. I will have nightmares of lazy-ass Okafor getting a simple hook shot stuffed. I will have nightmares of Dampier taking out DJ and midcourt and nobody getting any retribution at all. Sorry sorry excuse for a home court basketball game....jeez I want my freaking money back.

Keetch
11-18-2008, 11:50 PM
oh yeah and Erick Dampier was by far my least favorite NBA player BEFORE this game. I think he's a cheap-ass dirty chump. Now I like him even less.

Keetch

oh yeah and I've made up my mind about Ajinca.

Wasted pick.

The first game I actually rested my eyes during. Such an uninspired 1st qtr and I was done as far as enthusiasm goes. The highlight of the night was the two hotdogs I had. I'll give credit to J-Pep for staying 'til the 5 minute mark of the 4th! I'll also give Mark Cuban credit for being a good sport and waving to and interacting with fans in the sections behind the goal...it was obvious from the photogs down there, he was the story of the night, and rightly so considering what took place on the court.

Mek is a lost cause on offense; it's wild how he's gotten progressively worse since year 1. He ruined a great pass from GW by going up with a minihook from his hip that got pounded right back at him. I liked the re-signing in August or whenever, I admit I was wrong; we should've let him walk.

Favorite lineup of the year: DJ, Raymond, Lexy, Hollins, and GW. If JR isn't ready for next game, this should be our starters!!

After hearing the postgame comments, I wonder if Larry will finish out the year first, or some kind of roster upheaval will happen. He makes it clear on a nightly basis he isn't happy with what he has to work with, and I think it'll get to a point he demands something happen or he walks.......stay tuned.

All in all, that was no fun and a waste of time and gasoline tonight.

BobcatsAllDay
11-19-2008, 12:45 AM
I didn't checkout the postgame comments but I was hoping LB wouldn't do the ol' "I need......I need....I need..." song and dance. He knew what this roster was before he took this job. Don't complain, just get it done. Tell GW not to shoot a three when nobody is in front of him and stop yelling every time we start a possession (obviously that's not working). And somebody tell MJ they need him at the end of the bench (for whatever reason)....are there Bobcat fans outside of NC/SC? If so, are they still with us after this performance?

Wasted pick. How so? He's coming along great on both ends. Seriously, nobody sets better screens on the team than he does. Sure he mistimed his jump on the rebound in the 4th, but other than that, I loved Lexy at the Arena...highlighted by his nasty jam when they made their only run in the 4th.

I can understand you'd say he's a wasted pick in terms of immediate impact THIS year (then again, our roster as it is, there was no one at 20 that would make this a very good team anyway), but he looked really comfortable out there tonight I thought....even helped Raymond with the trap after his nasty dunk, which forced a Mavs turnover.

Curious as to what you saw to draw that conclusion about my man Lexy....:g:

Notes:@ Brown said he would love if the Bobcats could sign F Antonio McDyess, who is without a job after Denver waived him after being involved in the Allen Iverson-Chauncey Billups trade. Brown coached McDyess in Detroit. "I have heard that he wants to reach out to me," Brown said. "He would be perfect for this team." ... Brown said May's weight is down to 273 pounds. "I just want him to be able to run up and down the court without getting tired," Brown said. ..

Comments made after the game tonight....

true story:
5 minutes into the game, and the score is 12 to nothing.
the Dallas color commentator says (sounding surprised): "Sean May looks tired."
i can't remember laughing so hard during a sporting event. priceless.

perhaps the most embarassing bobcats game i've seen, and i've seen most of them. all season, the bench has outplayed the starters. tonight, they were all we had. Jrich would have made no f'n difference. larry looked sick. and why wouldn't he? i saw mavericks laughing at us. and i think the dallas tv caught jrich laughing too. crash may as well have been playing for dallas.

How is this still surprising anyone? Sean's a freaking waste, and has been for years. Thank goodness for the bench tonight. Without them, would the starters ever get enough confidence to score?

Sorry Beagle I just don't see the big picture. He makes a few nice plays now and then. He has a few skills and he's not terribly awkward.

It's the body. He's just not an NBA caliber athlete; and I don't think food or weight training will help enough. Long-term, he's going to get abused in this league.

He is freaky long though. I hope I'm wrong, but for now, that's my take.

If I were the coach, I'd be starting Hollins at PF. Good thing I'm not I guess.

I wouldn't mind seeing that happen, he has been playing hard since the season started. He has stepped it up a lot more than The Atomic Blob (May) has...
