Putting together a really quick game thread before I dash out the door to go to work.

Ok now, all jokes aside, the Cats are up against a team chock-full of athletic players who don't settle for outside shots that much + a healthy Elton Brand, so I stand behind my words when I say that my aprreciation for the team that is Charlotte Bobcats has come to the point where I'm even happy with a loss, as long as it isn't a blowout. Just having this team trying hard at finding the rhytm which suits them is a-okay with me.

Every night is chance at trying out a new approach, hell, they could even grab a couple of wins here and there, might as well be the case tonight,... Cats go 4-9 after this evening's bout.

Raymond and D.J. are complementing one another just finely tonight, D.J. with a high Asst/TO ratio and Raymond with rebounding and scoring on a high percentage, lovely performance.

We're shooting 10% better than they are and the game is tied at the half. Not good.

POSITIVES:
- DJ and Felton played great in the first half. I like the offense being run by DJ much better.
- Only being outrebounded by 1 against the best rebounding team in the league. If that continues in the 2nd half we'll have a chance.

- Bench scoring

NEGATIVES:

DJ and Ray had over 1/2 of our points! That is highly unexpected. Not sure what to make of it. DJ progressing so fast as a PG at this level, and you love having both of them. Feel kinda bad for Ray. He has a great game, and DJ one ups him. Seems that DJ has made up his mind that Rookie or not, he's wanting to be a starter. Little more time.

Terrific game by both DJ and Ray. They were awesome tonight. Ammo was a quality spark off the bench, and that is a bright spot so far this season. When given the minutes, he has been doing OK. Crash was OK, and Okafor was OK as well.

Edit: Actually DJ is starting, but I believe Ray is still listed as the starting PG, correct?

Considering we had 19 turn overs we win this game 93-84. DJ and Felts had probably their best game together and DJ gets a double double...25 pts and 11 assists...What a game, now we need to work on these turn overs we keep getting.....:cool:

I don't think Brown is going to have much of a choice: Wallace at the 4.

Those are just about our only effective guys, aside from the occasional contribution from Ammo.

First of all, happy birthday ziggy. Last night's win is surely a great birthday present for you.

I'm probably the primary hater of DJ here, but I'd like to congratulate him for this strong performance. I wasn't happy when he scored 27 points with 11 3pt attempts against the Hawks, but tonight he attempted only 3 times and that made me very happy. Although 5 TO's are much, 11 assists is also great.

I don't think this win will suddenly turn around everything to the good, we'll go on sucking, but still it feels good. Hopefully in a "near" future, we'll be able to win on road as well :)
