I hate the Celtics.

My hatred goes back a long way, All the way back to the early 80's when Larry Bird had the audacity to wrap his fingers around the neck of my favorite player of that era. Dr. J.

My Hatred continued with the Kevin McHale clotheslining Kurt Rambis with the Lakers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7r6vXeOfyQ

I hate their drunken arrogant fanbase
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEqwt81wiN4

I hate Garnett's nonstop yapping.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T26ZbMSKh90

And if that isn't enough for you, I hate the way they stole the win in our first matchup last season.

Nothing would make me happier than to send the champs home with an additional loss on their record.

Can we make it happen tonight?

i hate that last year before the celtics won the championship no one even cared about them.(at least where i use to live) Now everybody has a celtics jersey or shirt. I just cant stand that team and i hope the cats get a big win tonight.

I just typed some massive rant about my hatred of Boston. My story of getting beers last year at the game in line behind the frat boys. If anyone wants details I'll let you know but I think God didn't want me to post the f-word that many times on a public message board. My post got deleted somehow, whatever. Go Cats!

Having to go into overtime for an emotional road victory, then fly home and get in late. Then face the World Champs and play your very best in order to be able to beat them. That is a lot to ask of this team. Maybe they can do it, but it wont be easy. I think that is why we did not really see Ajinca or Dudley last night in Indiana. We will need their fresh legs tonight.

bing!
11-29-2008, 02:11 PM
If only Alexis were to pull some 'KG' on KG himself, nah, wishful thinking. Last night's hard won game should not be factored into tonight's effort, they're paid accordingly so there's no room for excuses of any kind. Here's hoping the Cats pull it off tonight.

Last year during the Boston game, big night planned. Place was packed out. Having an awesome night with the boys. I got up to go get a couple beers and I picked the wrong line. 3 or 4 Boston-type frat-boy looking m-:)ers were there. They all had their uniform on: jeans, brown boots, untucked, or just tucked in the front button-ups, over-geled hair. You know the type.
They had obviously planned it. They would get 2 beers, pay, drink, next guy get 2, pay, drink, so on until the 4th one was done, the first one would have finished his beers and get 2 more and so on. It took forever. I spoke up "Yo, this is ridiculous, I need a :)-in beer" Biggest one turns around and says "hold up there. Hey whered you get your shurt?" I was wearing my Replica warm-up that I had bought at the fan fest at the arena. I responded "Here." "What do you mean, here? Guys check this guy out, he's a Bobcats fan!" "Here, the arena, the team store? Where'd you get your :) ing shurt?" Mocking his overly put on accent. "Got mines at the Nautica Outlet, Worshter MASS! Wouldn't you rather be a Boston fan? Cheer for US?" I said "No, cause then I'd look like YOU!" and I leaned in to accent the "YOU" Quite exciting, I was ready to brawl. Don't know where that came from really. I'm not a big guy, these guys were. It was that Bobcats Fever! Catch the Excitement!

For tonight's game, I just want to win. I want Okafor to have about 4-5 blocks at least 2 of which will be on KG. Wallace with 5 dunks. J-Rich for Threeeeee!!! Raymond and DJ each with nice passes and timely shots. I HATE! HATE Boston. Simmons loves them that makes them worse. My arch-nemisis proposed that they carry championship belts onto the court because they're such a bad-ass group. They can bring them as long as the Cats get to keep them when they win.

They tanked 2 years ago in hopes of getting Durrant or Oden. Simmons was convinced they'd get Durrant so he fell in love with him admiting to a man crush, then to cover his tracks he claimed to love Seattle when they got bought and moved. Well they didn't tank enough. They called in some favors and got KG and Ray Allen, who celebrated a little too much after beating the Cats at home last year. No worries, we went into their place and won. Huge night for J-Rich.

I hate Boston, Simmons, starting to dislike KG, Ray and Pierce more and more as individuals, the fact Doc Rivers has a job is mindblowing. We shall overcome douchery tonight!

Does anyone know if this game will be in HD? I'm up at the folks just outside Raleigh, 3rd straight game I've missed being at the arena (I Know). They actually have a good TV and HD, I just don't know any of the channels.

Well I got good news and Bad News

Good News According to my NBA 2k9 game we beat Boston 94-86...Rondo kills us though, and we can't hit a free throw shot to save our lives, DJ has 20 pts and 6 assist with 5 steals and only 2 TO, Okafor has 18 pts and 10 rebounds with 3 blocks Crash with 17 and JRich with 16...If the game follows as it should, we will get out to big 15-17 point lead...(guessing we're feeding off the adrenaline from the game before) but we start slacking off at periods in the early 2nd (Boston 14-6 run) 3rd (Boston 12-4) and the fouth we go into with a 11 point lead and it gets down to two, but we never give it up as DJ and Okafor save us...

:)

The Bad News: Well 1) I have a different roster for Charlotte, I have Charlie V., Fransico Elon, Tyronne Lue instead of Felton & May...but Elon didn't play so its all good :-)

2) Even in this game Coach Brown plays Morrison & Carroll on the court together :-/

3) It just a NBA 2k9...so it's not the real deal...

SO PLEASE CHARLOTTE BOBCATS REVENGE THE LOSS FROM LAST YEAR, WHEN BY THIS SCORE AND SHOW ALL THESE OTHER GUYS THAT NBA 2K9 KNOWS WHAT IT'S TALKING ABOUT...

Thank You

Doing pretty good so far, some dumb fouls and turnovers (Morrison's) but we're winning right now....let's keep it up

BTW can someone answer this question...

If you are fouled while shooting a shot, does that shot count as a miss on your stats or nothing at all? And how bout when you make it? It's a stupid question sure, but never really knew the answer...

I'm pretty sure that it counts as a fg attempt if you make it and does not if you miss.

That crazy SOB! All night long, my computer screen has " R. Felton misses..." "R. Felton misses..." 2/15. Why the hell does he feel compelled to be the one who shoots late in the 4th with the game on the line? Once in a blue moon he has a game like the Pacers game when he's hitting everything. The rest of the time, he cant hit the broad side of a barn! Idiot! Friggin' IDIOT!!

How many nights do you get a game where the Boston Big 3 all are sub par? Almost never. We had that tonight, and Crash and J-Rich did their part. DJ was solid. But Ray, 2/15 and Okafor 3/3? Why only 3 damn shots all night?!! If Ray or Okafor had any type of game tonight, we would have won!

Very disappointing game!

Okafor shot's were not his fault...and I hate to but even more blame on Felton, but you have to...in the first half he had so many turnovers, most trying to get to either Nazr or mainly Okafor, horrible passes that should have never been thrown and could have waited, Okafor was open on shots as well as JRich for threes on shots Felton felt he should force it down the throat...Felton lost the game for us tonight, not anyone else...I blame Coach Brown too...Why? Because he didn't take him out...I would have much rather had DJ, JRich, Wallace, Okafor, & Ajinca that with Felton tonight...he was absolutely horrible tonight and he's the reason we lost...

Wow Ohara...don't remember you blasting DJ like that for going 4 of 17 last night? Felton had a bad game after he played 48 minutes the night before.

Shit happens.

Crash and Swish (who was it saying he's now tradable because of Felton's shooting?) played great, and overall this was a very tight game. Mek also did well defensively.

Spectre, DJ wasn't throwing up everything at the end of the game when the game was on the line even when he was ice cold. It's like Ray had this thing in his head that said "When you touch the ball, shoot!" and he had to do it. And also, DJ is a Rookie. Rookies make mistakes more than someone who's been playing a few years.

Well, I went to bed dreadfully early this morning and woke up dreadfully late in the afternoon, and being that it was a nasty cold rain, decided this Davidson County fella would stay at home instead of making the 2-hour roundtripper to see the Cats tonight. Actually, it was fun for a change....staying home, nice and warm, the bachelor and his beagle and delivery supper and a Bobcats game. Why the hell did I get STs, again???:g:

Anyway, I absolutely agree with the following excerpt from ALong13 in regards to why/how the Celtics were let off the hook tonight.....Raymond Felton:

in the first half he had so many turnovers, most trying to get to either Nazr or mainly Okafor, horrible passes that should have never been thrown and could have waited, Okafor was open on shots as well as JRich for threes on shots Felton felt he should force it down the throat...Felton lost the game for us tonight, not anyone else...I blame Coach Brown too...Why? Because he didn't take him out...I would have much rather had DJ, JRich, Wallace, Okafor, & Ajinca that with Felton tonight...he was absolutely horrible tonight and he's the reason we lost...

Don't question at all (and never have) his desire, but damn he killed us. I knew after last night's performance, we were due for a "bad Raymond" game, but I thought it'd only be the poor shooting, not the poor decision making and ball handling too. Forced turnovers, unforced turnovers, countless drives to the lane with nothing to show for it, and never kicking the ball back out. Raymond: you've never been able to finish at the rim in the NBA, you never get bailed out by refs, why the hell do you continue to do this?

Sure, Gerald should've made his FTs, but he was a machine on both ends of the court and it was a winnable game mostly on his account. JRich was very solid, and if he had been healthy, it would've been a win most likely, but it was obvious he didn't have his legs in crunch time. DJ: PHENOMENAL! Sean May: most productive outing of the season IMO, and showing a faint glimmer that he isn't totally a lost cause. A couple bonehead plays by Mek, but well....it's Mek. Overall good enough, especially the FTs.

I just hate DJ wasn't given the reins of the team late, instead of having Felton be the initiator. Larry may not be ready to start DJ ahead of Felton yet, but he really needs to be getting the bulk of the minutes because it's painfully obvious, DJ is the man for the job. His demeanor, his game, his decision making (which is still a work in progress, but definitely improving overall), all these qualities make him the better PG than Raymond, and ultimately it's Larry's fault that DJ wasn't given the opportunity to run the team in the last 3 minutes, instead sticking with Raymond who had done nothing in the game to warrant the job.

Some good things to take from the game, but the Cats let them off the hook again.

I know when I played sports back in my younger days if a player was having a bad night he was the last option. If a player was having a good night he was the first option. All I'm saying is we should have used a different option to put the ball up which may have made the outcome different. But by using Ray who was having a rough night what chance did that give us? I know hind sight is what it is but using someone that was having a better night shooting would have given us a better chance.
