A Minnesota fan i know gave me that link. He said the site is credible and he says the guy was one of the first to report that the Griz and Twolves we talking Mayo-Love swap on draft night.
If this trade happens I WILL DIE!!!!
The article says the most likely deal is:
McCants
Collins
1st rounder
for
Wallace
BOOOOOOO!!!!!

Big Slam,
When you add 1 + 1, you get 11, not 10.
This thread needs more "imminent."

LOL Muttley I like your trade much better.
I am in North Carolina and I am not a fan of Rashad McCants.
Other than creating a hole at PF and SF what the heck...maybe a 1st, McCants, Collins, and Brewer...then we'd have to add player fodder but I'm not sure Brewer can hold SF by himself and it still would leave a hole at PF unless FO is convinced McMay is the answer or they just want cap relief and a first rounder...makes very little sense?
basically Gerald and Adam works for McCants, Collins, and Brewer....even if they add a first rounder only makes sense for some cap relief when Collins comes off?

Usually the crazy trade rumors come directly AFTER we play a team. This one of those weird instances where it's happening BEFORE. Someone get the "Ripley's" people on the phone!
Well...it looks like the Timberwolves have 4 first round picks...their pick, one from the Heat, one from Utah, and one from Boston...maybe they just feel a need to get rid of a pick or two in the first round? Who knows but the trade scenario I came up with does not address our need for a PF and trading with them would only make sense for a pick and some cap relief...they're not going to trade Love to us and really have no other PF they might trade except Gomes and he's another undersized PF and since he signed a new contract he is BYC and TRS so no 4 from them!
It could be to facilitate another deal for a 4 but I have real doubts about this...(being a good idea)

wow..... definetly one of the worst deals out there for g force. the only logic i see in this is that mccants becomes the sg and we slide swish to the 3 slot with emeka and collins down low. we do this also for the 1st rounder, which should be pretty high. maybe the 'cats are trying to load up on picks/fodder to make sure that we draft blake griffin. let's say we end up in the 1-8 range with our pick and then get minnesota's as well. package both picks plus a spare part (may/carroll) to get to number one. like i said, this deal is terrible for us unless we're packing it in already, which i doubt. this team does not need any more 1st rounders outside of a top 3 pick. we are young and in need of some veteran presence.

Yet it probably has the most truth to it... I would only trade G-Force to MIN if we get Brewer back and play him at the 2, moving J-Rich to the 3.
The Timberwolves can't trade their own pick since LAC gets it if they slide out of the top ten (top ten protected)...not sure about what should be their next pick (from the Heat)...I don't know if Miami has any protection on it...the other two (from Utah and Boston) are not protected as far as I can find but they are not going to be high picks...

11-30-2008, 09:50 PM
Collins , Love , and a first for Wallace might not be to bad . That makes a little more sence.
Dav I got the distinct feeling (from reading Timberwolves sites) that they will not trade Love....

If the pick is not Minny's own, it wont be a high lottery pick. We would be trading Crash for two back ups. Horrible. The only reason this would make any sense is that since the 2 incoming players would have only 1 yr on their Contracts, that frees up some serious $ for us to go after some high $ FA in the 2010 market.

Agree...if we got McCants (who I doubt could play for LB, Collins, Brewer and a first) it would end up 9 million cap relief, Brewer, and a first round pick for Gerald...is it worth it?

First up: How do you feel about Heisenberg's 'Uncertainty Principle'? Feel free to bring in research from Einstein, Bohr, and other quantum physics pioneers, and even current articles published in quarterly academic journals to either support your claims, or, dispute their claims. Hell, maybe apply this theory to possible trade scenarios and you may make yourself a published author before you know it!

First up: How do you feel about Heisenberg's 'Uncertainty Principle'?
As we're discussing Gerald Wallace, the uncertainty is amply applicable. With Crash being oft-mentioned in trade rumors, he has admittedly become affected, not in the Spinoza's Ethics III way, but in the psychological sense (pre or post-cognitive still up for debate). His poor performance (the affect display) against Toronto (the first game) can be explained by his introduction to the stimulus of trade discussions. Because the effect was significant, we can determine that the true cause was the Observer Effect, which often gets conflated with the Uncertainty Principle.
The negative response should be seen as a positive for Bobcat fans, because the introduction of the stimulus garnered a negative affect display, meaning he has positive feelings about playing for this team.
Erwin Schrodinger, renowned for his love of the Cats, worked to provide further clarification on the Uncertainty Principle, but turning to another uncertainty provides some clarity on this issue. If Gerald Wallace is placed on... err, in the trade block and people continue to take all of these rumors seriously, every night he's both traded and not traded until the moment someone sees him on the court in the Bobcats uniform.
For the record, the Nobel Prize winner Schrodinger was a big Raymond Felton fan.

Just think guys, in an parallel universe the Bobcats won the Championship last year beating the OKC Thunder!!!

Yeah, according to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, we cannot predict the exact place and momentum of an object simultaneously. I believe we almost exactly know where we are: "stuck to mediocrity" This implies we have very little idea about the momentum of the club. Even we don't know if the momentum is positive (improvement) or negative (declining). So we have absolutely no idea when we will get out of this "potential well". It may take 2 years, it may take 5 years or maybe more.

Ammofan posted the link that started this discussion...it may or may not (be wishful or or presumptive precognitive thought) on the part of the Timberwolves fans...of course they may (no Mc intended) simply be trying to derive a positive amplification (through thought process and harmonious energy) by depriving our team of a well liked player (Gerald) and removing a negative (McCants) from their team...I don't think we should allow them that kind of thought power or who knows...next they could steal Rufus for an often used towel!
...another thought occurs that LB could be employing Brownian theory of movement (only random that we've identified...and not named for LB) to completely confuse everyone, us, the Timberwolves, other teams, the FO as to whom he really wishes to keep and whom he really wishes to trade...and someone needs to keep Schrodingers' cat out of Rufus' gym shorts or there could be a cat fight...LB might be planning to trade Nasr, Rufus, and a used pair of pajamas for a card board cut out of KG to place under the basket to give EO50 a sense of comfort and power for all we know...the Universe and its mysteries never end!

I don't think they want to move Durant back to SG, he's been doing better at the SF position. I think Green is already playing the PF position, but I am not sure about that. As for the compensation we'd be getting back ffrom them for G-Force, they don't have anybody that they would realisticly trade that we need, and Wilcox/Collison wouldn't be even close to equal value for him. There would need to be a third team IMO for a deal with OKC.
Ampsportsduo
12-01-2008, 01:30 PM
While Durant did win ROY last year, all P.J. Carlesimo did was delay Durant's growth by placing him at the two. It's not a long term solution playing him there (sound familiar?).
They should avoid playing him there as much as possible. If you're going to lose games anyway, you might as well play your best player in his natural position even if costs you one of your dozen wins for the year.
Outside of their two young cornerstones, that roster has painfully little to offer.
Curious Duo - what do you think Durant's natural position is?

If it wasn't enough that you have the original "Shack" as your avatar, the fact that you cited Herr Schrodinger and his "cats", which is what I was hoping but not expecting someone to provide, qualifies you for a lifetime supply of Bobcats season tickets! But being their value is, like the American dollar, in a steady decline, how 'bout a +1 rep instead, which, of course, never loses its value!
Only on BCP can you find a discussion of quantum physics and Rashad McCants in the same thread. Thanks to those who participated in the discussion, and I look forward to many more in future "trade" threads.

This is from the same website that started the Wallace rumor..
"The Timberwolves are winning 1 out of every 4 games this season. Things have certainly not gone according to plan. The T'Wolves were supposed to be a much improved team this season according to the front office after the offseason moves that were made. So far this year, we look like the same team from last year except with a few new faces.
We are still losing games we should win, we are still outmatched in talent and size but most importantly we are still getting out coached.
Honestly though, what did we expect from this team? I will admit that I bought into the hype this offseason that this team would be a lot closer to a .500 ball club. After 16 games, I feel like a fool for even thinking this team could win 30 games. We can't even beat teams like the Thunder, the Kings, or the Bobcats. Plain and simple we are on the same lowly level as those teams listed above. "
whoever runs this website is a joke...sounds like he started this rumor out of desperation of having nothing better to write
