Michael & Co. buying out Johnson's share, now that'd be a sight for a sore eye, good news for a poor soul, a comfy chair for a broken behind... a hope-giver for a loyal fan.

I'm hoping MJ, Tiger, Magic, Charles and Larry are our owners by next season.

take out Magic and Larry and I think you have a bad ass idea.
How awesome would an ownership group of MJ, Tiger, and Barkley be. All have more money than they could ever spend, like basketball and are prominent figures. Attendance would increase, fan support would increase and national attention would increase.
Its not like it would be a bad investment for any of them... they probably gamble away more than it would cost them. Seriously, what is the downside for any of them. MJ and Tiger could live their lives exactly as they are now, and Barkley would just not be able to call national games for the Bobcats (not really a problem as we aren't ever on National TV)
Throw in Charles Oakley as well... he doesn't have any money to speak of but its more for security reasons.

Thanks for posting that link, bing, it confirms a lot of what I've been assuming, at least the bit about the league's feelings towards Bob. I'm confident that Stern will make the right move when the time comes, and we'll have a more tactful owner in the future, whether it be MJ and Co. or not.
