Well, the Cavs are playing great ball right now, several in a row, so they are due for a loss. But King James had an off night and only scored 11 last night. He's not likely to have back to back bad games. I kinda expect him to explode on us. It will take an extraordinary effort to pull a victory tonight. I hope we can do it, but this one will be very tough.

Gerald I know already has 2 or 3 turnovers all which were totally his fault and careless, sure the block was nice but when your throwing the ball to other team the block means sh*t....

Jones had two shots blocked quick, second one looked like a foul to me, but once again referees not going to give us anything...

and could Dudley learn to dribble...good lord..

we Lost this in the first quarter, not sure why Brown hasn't let Ajinca, May and all the others who never play get a shot, maybe if we let our starters rest, we might come within 10 points after the first quarter next game :-/

I say let...

DJ, Carroll, Morrison, Jones, Ajinca play the rest of the game and have

S. Brown & May be the main reserves, let Jrich play, Felton play, other than that (Wallace & Okafor) don't let them see another minute of action...maybe send them to the practice gym...Let Wallace practice passing a little bit and Okafor rebound and hit close shots...

A little pissed...yes

Their big guy are just bigger than ours. We can't get the ball in the paint, when we do it gets blocked. I saw ammo take 2 longs shots with more than 12 seconds on the shot clock. GW and Duds is our leading rebounders with 4 and Mek and Jones is tied for 2nd with 3 rebounds. We don't have an answer for LeBron. I didn't think we had a chance at this game tonight coming in to it but I did think we could play better than we have been....

DJ played OK and was high scorer, but I dont like the TO's. Ray was OK as second high scorer and most assists, but I dont like my starting PG taking more shots than anyone else on the team. Not his role unless he wants to be a combo guard. But I was impressed with Ajinca. After not having played any the last few games, he was productive in the time he was on the court tonight. Very efficient. I hope he gets 10-15 minutes per game for us as that will help his confidence and maturity. The other starters tonight basically stunk up the joint.

Got the chance to meat Ziggy tonight and his boy . Him and his boy was both very nice. It couldn't be a nicer guy running this site. If Ziggy had suited up tonight we might have had a closer game. The place was full but quite even from the start.
Interesting Wallace got jerked early in the third . It looked as if Wallace wasn't instrested in the game much at all . It looked as if he didn't want to guard James . I kept getting the feeling Brown and Wallace wasn't happy with each other .
To night makes the third straight game Wallace has stunk the place up . Somthing is up between him and Brown.
Felton came out looking like the only Bobcat ready to play tonight. Mek couldn't seem to get it going , Even though he had plenty of nice entry passes . Swish looked like he had lost his legs and was winded..
DJ14 did some damage in garbage time.
A nice game to forget.

The game was pretty awful. The few bright spots:

Felton's shot seemed to be falling at a reasonable rate.
DJ was good in garbage time.
Shannon Brown's meaningless dunk.
Ajinca hitting 18 footers. If he could develop any semblance of a post game, he might be a basketball player one day.

Other highlights:

Lebron talking trash to JD at the three point line before launching an air-ball.
Larry Brown screaming at the players during a 3rd quarter time out. I genuinely felt embarrassed on all their behalves. Larry look like he wanted to eat their souls. It was pretty awful.

Think of the stench as you walk past a dumpster full of foul smelling garbage on a 98 degree day.

I spent $90+ on 2 tickets, $10 for parking, $17 on food ( 2 sodas and a hot dog  ) and $8 for a souvenir for my son only for it to be blatently obvious that we had no cance of winning this game 6 minutes into it. Hot Garbage.

Ray was one of the only guys trying tonight. We were giving up a few inches at every position. It was just difficult for any of the guys to do anything. A lot of Felton's shots were getting the ball back after he had already passed.

I'm trying to remember... there was one rushed shot where Felton definitely should have waited. But, other than that, none of those shots were especially forced.

We played terrible overall, and Felton was one of the only guys that had anything going. The only reason Augustine got the stats he did was because it was garbage time for a large portion of the second half.

Felton was clearly the best Bobcat on the court tonight. Unfortunately, we were collectively terrible. Wallace looked like he died inside midway through the third.

Thanks Ziggy for stoping by. Good post, dav, much of which I agree with! I looked in on your section but it was full of people and I didn't know who you were, and was too shy to just blurt out, "Which one of you's dav from bobcatsplanet." On a weeknight, when it's not so crowded I'll pop my head in and say "hi". Give me a PM and tell me what you look like, or your wife, so I'll know who to look for^-^

As for the game....the subtitle reads "How to waste a saturday evening." The organization wants to create interest in the team....they had their chance tonight with a pretty good crowd, and they put up a dud like this?!?!? Fuck it, I was still in a pissy mood over the Buck game and just shouldn't've gone. Plain and simple. I was miserable during warmups, lineups, the douches that were crowding me in my section were pissing me off, everything, and that's before getting down 14-2.

Whatever good will those bastards called the Bobcats generated in me is absolute blown to high hell after these last two games. Screw em! Larry ought to call Hammy and ask how he went a whole season without killing half the team with their ineptitude and incompetence on the court.

As a long time GW supporter, I'm about ready to see him go (which is why he's not on my sig after almost 2 years); he's turned into a douche this year and bitches and moans and takes himself out of the game if he gets one bad call. I'm seeing what others have seen in him the last couple years, I hate to say. JD played better defense on Lebron than GW for crying out loud! And it was nice to see the Mek we all know and love return....

Once again, a complete waste; this team is pissing me off immensely; and I may go to another game this year.....maybe. >:(

I hadn't seen LeBron play before and so was pretty excited about going to tonites game. I had it figured out that if GForce could defend the Icon and even force him inside that we could play this team. I figured our guards Felton/JRich/DJ were definitely better than Mo/DWest/Boobie. I knew Okafor would be challenged by Ilgauskas, but Ok50's been playing well right?

Well then the game started din't it. Right off the bat I'm noticing that the Cavs are ummm substantially bigger than we are....

I see Gerald Wallace standing next to LeBron James and I'm thinking....Oh my Wallace is tough (so I thought), but James makes him look small....and oh yeahs I um forgot about Ben Wallace LOL um put him next to the Big Z and THERE WILL BE NO BOBCATS BUSINESS IN THE PAINT TONITE thank you.

At 11-2; I mentioned to my companion that I REALLY hoped this game wasn't over already...but it was. 30-14 at the end of the 1st Qtr and going down hill.

My hope that Crash would rise to the challenge of guarding LeBron was totally wasted. Crash just wilted.

What a bizarre place the Bobcats are in. During a weekday game with 9,000 people in the stands, they play exciting ball and make it seem like Charlotte just doesn't know what it's missing. Then the Icon's of the game show up and the fans come in filling up the Arena; only to see the Bobcats lay down. Thus the reputation is maintained that the Bobcats suck and aren't worth going to see. That sucks for them. Maybe they should play harder when those opportunities arise; hmm not sure.

Okay how's about some observations!!!!!!!!

I REEEALLLY wanted to see Lexi matched up with Ilguaskas, but it didn't happen. REALIZE that the Big Z is freaky large. The man is very very tall. Watching Okafor guard him was borderline absurd. But. Messiur Ajinca is tres tall too. C'est la vie Alexi!

I'd heard that Lebron doesn't play that hard; and it's confirmed. The man doesn't need to; he's truly phenomenal at this sport and plays with it like a toy. Really; the NBA is his little mantoy.

Before the tipoff, Mr. James stood at the scorers table midcourt and did that powder thing throwing it way up in the air; standing completely erect and staring down the crowd with a scowl. He did this while the Bobcats were waiting for him at the jump circle. He did this in the Bobcats Arena. Nice show; now we kick your ass for that right? Naaaa, Not so much.

I'm sorry Beagle you missed Matt Carroll in the 4th Quarter. The Hammer launched one from the corner early on and I was (this was laugh-at-the-losers time) thinking wow he almost airballed it. About one minute later Matt launched another one from the 3 pt. line and DID airball it. I feel bad for Matt, but he is totally, completely and utterly WONKED out these days. I think the game has passed him by.

After a horrible first half, this Bobcats team came out for the second half without any energy to compete with the Cavs. It was sad. As Dnbman, mentioned, LB got seriously into the whole teams grill early in the 3rd. Brown was outraged. His face was bright red and yup there were the skull veins and neck veins...whew. I didn't actually hear it; but I think there may have been some profanity. No really! He specifically slid over and spit (Okay he didn't actually spit, but its an image) right into Crash's face and then slid back to Felton and the rest.

No use. Crash went back out and made two completely nonchalant errant passes for turnovers. LB thereby invited Mr. Wallace to take a seat for the rest of the game.

Lebron standing tall with the ball at the top of the key with Dudley crouched in front, guarding him. Lebron's seems unsure of himself like (who is THIS who dares to guardeth me thus?) and so does a little dance jig with this shoulders and hips while Dudley just stays there crouched in front. Dudley doesn't seem to understand the futility of his defense?! Hmmm. So King James shrugs and launchs the holy Ball toward the golden rim, but alas is denied the score. Aww Shucks for His Highness.

But I've got to give the Cavs credit. That team DENIED everything the Cats tried to do. I was completely impressed by their defensive intensity. They contested EVERYTHING. That's a good team right now.

Come on guys don't give up yet, this is our only team in this area.... I think LB will drill them a new ass hole over the next several days... we will have a chance Monday against Miami. I do think GW should sit on the bench a while to let him figure out some things in his head. Start Duds; seems he wants to play more than GW lately. I think Lex should be the back up C in the next game. May deserves more playing time. Cleveland is a heck of a team this season so I for one am not as upset about this game as I was last night over the Milwaukee game. Yeah DJ got his points mostly after the game was out of hand but at least he hit his shots. Right now Nazr, Carroll, Ammo, and GW aren't doing much at all for us. Serious steps need to be taken to get their heads back into it....

Let me start by saying I think LeBron is a great player. But the Spurs gave the NBA a blueprint on how to "guard" him. You give LeBron a step or two and dare him to beat you from the outside. If he makes the jumpers then its his night, if he misses there is a chance your team will be in the game.

What did we do tonight? Crowd him and watch as he flew by for an easy two or kick it out to a professional basketball player for a wide open 3......the result a bad loss in front of a good crowd.

I guess the scouting report could be the same for Crash but the chances of him beating a team from the outside is about 28% or 7% if you look at the last two games. Oh well down to South Beach for some all-star calls by refs for D-Wade.

This is starting to get pretty funny! Every game now I'm waiting to see what kind of bullshit excuse you can come up with to say that Felton played bad. He took 12 shots and made 7 of them. If Swish had gotten as many minutes he'd have had more shots.

According to Larry Brown Felton was the only starter that gave any effort.

I know that Felton has bad games and he should definitely be criticized for them. This inventing crap just to promote another player when he actually has a good game tho is pretty pathetic.

I'm still waiting on your examples of how Felton made bad decisions in the 4th quarter of the Bucks' game.

I said nothing bad about Ray. He was the best of our starters in the game, no doubt. I just point out that it is typically not your PG who takes the most shots as shooting is not his primary role. I think DJ has a much higher ceiling and that Charlotte will be a more complete team with him at the starting PG. I dont want Ray traded, and do want him resigned when his Contract is up. I actually think he could be a dynamic 6th man and give us a strong competitive edge as a 6th. He can play either the PG or SG during his play, spelling both DJ and J-Rich and be a floor leader. He'd still get a lot of PT during each game so his minutes would not suffer. I want him to stay a Bobcat!

I dont hate Ray at all. I just expect a lot from a PG and dont think Ray is our best option at that role. I realize that many dont agree, but stop taking my statements as statements of "hating" Ray. They are not meant to be that way. I am only pointing out what I see he his downside and how it hurts us and how we can be better. But Ray has plenty of assets which is why I would love him to stay on this team and be one of the NBA's best 6th men. He plays respectable Defense on whomever we ask of him. He can score and dish out assists. He plays hard, even when hurt. Dont think I dont see these things as I certainly do. But as far as what we need in a starting PG, I just think DJ has more to offer and can make us a better team.

That is why I state what I do. I just want this team to start winning.

That is why I state what I do. I just want this team to start winning.

There's nothing wrong with criticizing Felton. I think a lot of people are just surprised that you've criticized him two games in a row when he was the best player we had on the court.

With as many problems as we had last night, it seems silly to point out Felton taking 12 shots, which is hardly a number signifying a ball-hog.

Felton has been showing me in the last few games that he is clearly our best pg right now, if not our best player. He's certainly made some mistakes and continues to do so. Augustine will be a great player, but he seems far more shot happy than Felton. Their per 36 minute averages are nearly identical. Yet, Felton is averaging .5 assists for every fg he takes. Augustine is averaging .43 assists per fg attempt. Their fg % is about 1% different. So, it's not as if Augustine has been that much of a better scorer either. Augustine has been the slightly better scorer, and Felton has been the slightly better quarterback.

Obviously, Augustine being a rookie suggests that he does have a higher ceiling, just as Felton had the higher ceiling when playing with Knight. However, Felton can still drastically improve and is playing a better overall game right now than Augustine. So, there's no reason to assign him the role of backup guard or give the reigns over to Augustine yet.
Felton could still very well be our best bet at pg for the future with Augustine as a better distributing version of Ben Gordon.

At any rate, I'm glad we have both players. I appreciate what both of them bring to our team. I hope they both keep playing great and we have the enviable position of deciding between two great pgs to run our team. I don't see the point in overly criticizing one of them in order to make the case for the other. When the same was happening with Knight and Felton, the main argument was only that Knight would be too old to run the team when the rest of the team grew around him, so we might as well play Felton now. That's not the same case with Felton and Augustine.

You may not be over criticizing him. However, after last night, highlighting a flaw in Felton's game seems pretty petty. He wasn't anywhere near the problem last night.

dnbman: I appreciate your understanding of my position, even if you dont agree. After all, what would life be if we all agreed on every issue. Even friends can disagree, as long as we dont become disagreeable with each other.

I think DJ and Ray are indeed very close right now, and would even say that at this very second, Ray has a slight advantage. But when I look at it and say one has played a few years of NBA, and the other only 20 games, that is a big eye opener. If there was a far gap between what Ray can do and DJ can do, I would want to stick with Ray longer as the starter. I just believe that if DJ is given the helm, he can steer this ship in the right direction and take it far. And I would rather give him the keys now so he gets better quicker than if we slowly work him into the role. After the draft, I thought it would be towards the end of the season before he started getting the hang of the NBA game. But he has shown, IMO, a high BBIQ and the ability to learn the NBA PG role even quicker than I imagined. I just think he's special and want to see him have the opportunity to take us places.

Good info, as is par for the course with Keetch! I sure hate I missed some er..."Hammertime" I agree, though; it's sad to see where his game is right now and how out of place he is, regardless of how we are shackled with him for a few more years barring a release.

As for Larry: that's why I can't give up completely and have cooled off a bit since last night. What you told us about his tirade during the 3rd, and his postgame conference, I absolute LOVE it. I really think some of these guys (nudge, nudge, Gerald Wallace) have become so accusomted to losing, they expect it, and if they get down early, or something doesn't go their way, they stick their head up their bum and either pout or mail it in, or both, the rest of the game. That isn't acceptable, and Larry won't put up with it, and he has the authority whereas Ham Biscuit did not.

I live two hours from Charlotte in Greenville, SC and this was the only game I have been able to make it to so far this season. Boy, did I pick a good one. We were in section 105 and I think we were the only Bobcats fans in the whole section. I tried to keep my cool, but it was hard. I was sitting next to a woman who sent text messages the whole time and didn't even realize she was at a game other than screaming for Lebron every now and then. She did have the nerve to have a conversation with her husband about how ugly and/or scary Adam was with long hair and continues to be now - all while I was sitting there wearing my Adam jersey. I almost involved myself in that conversation, but I figured my husband would get embarrassed if I got into a fight at the game. :)

I agree with Ziggy about all the money spent for one game. As far as a basketball game goes, it was dreadful. I always have fun at the games, but this was not one for enjoying the game. Maybe next time I'll consider going to see them play the 76ers or Timberwolves instead and it might be a better game. :)

I had a Horrible experience the other night at the game. Got there late and by the time i sat down it was 24-6 or something ridiculous. I can't stand out of town fans, the only reason anyone would cheer for Cleveland is because they are a transplant or because of Lebron. I hate LeBron, I truly do. Most disliked player in the league except Richard Jefferson. He makes really amazing plays but come on let's get over this kid.

I'm sorry BIGCat, but I can't agree with you there. Mr. James is by far the best talent in the NBA and I think its simply stupid how he seemingly plays half speed and still destroys every team he plays. I was a little too young to see MJ in his prime and really remember the magnitude of his ability, so for me LeBron is the next best thing.

I WILL say this: Unless LeBron can develop a consistent jumper, he won't age as well as Jordan did. He's a freak athlete and uses that to his advantage but as soon as he starts to lose it(sometime within the next 10 or so years lol) he's not going to be the same dominator as MJ
