I over heard LeBron last night talking about hammer an felton after hammer air balled a shot...james turned to a few teammates and said

"Man Larry Brown has completely taken away Carroll and Felton's confidence. They used to burn our ass dog. Carroll's a good player man. Real nice player. But Larry Brown took all his confidence away"

He also said this about Ajinca

"They told me if that man missed breakfast, he might die"....later he said he had a nice shot tho

well lebron hasn't really been smart with his words, i do take this serious about what he said though, and if it was coming from a player with more experience in the league, such as billups or somebody, it would really worry me

I'm pretty sure that he has played for the Spurs before, but I understand what you are saying. He's a great guy to have coming off the bench, but being payed 25 mil. to come off the bench, although he hasn't left the pine much recently, is just to much IMO. I know it isn't his fault that the FO is dumb, but I think he needs to be traded to any team that will take him because he is not helping this team any.

they can have him. why have you heard something? please tell me you've heard something. but they wouldn't be dumb enough to pay that much for him.

I never thought I would see the Hammer play as bad for as long as he has this season. I would expect him to go through slumps, but his basketball right now is just brutal.

Kid looks lost out there and is hurting us more than he helps when he checks in - which is hard to say because I have been one of the biggest supporters of him since day #1.

hard to believe he averaged 12 points one season.

Carrol is still a very nice spot up shooter. He would kill it with the Knicks in Dantoni's system. The team isn't doing a good job of getting him the ball in his spots when he is open. Part of the problem is no one commands a double team so carrol's guy doesn't really have to leave him. He could still be a very nice peice later during the year when the team begins to move the ball better.

That's just it though. He's been getting wide open shots and he can't knock them down. It's like a golfer who goes through a case of the yipps and can't sink 3ft puts.

One of the strengths of Hammer in the past was that he didn't need to start or play starters mins. He could come in off the bench and knock down J's the moment he touched the ball. He can't seem to do that now.

Maybe the new baby is taking a toll?

I don't think anyone can argue that Matt's confidence is toast. Not sure I'd say the same about Felts though. Maybe early on, but not lately.

"They told me if that man missed breakfast, he might die"

That's awesome. I for one am glad that LeBron doesn't have the MJ/Tiger filter.

Man, I feel for Carroll. I wanted him back the year he became a free agent but not necessarily for the price we got him at (and the manner in we used him). I feel even more disappointed now for both sides, because he is clearly not in Larry Brown's plans and it's got to be killing him as a competitor to be sitting on the bench everynight knowing he could possibly be a starter to a 7th man somewhere else, or at least a heavy rotation player.

I know how he feels man... When a REAL player like LeBron recognizes that you got game, then you DO. But when a coach like LB comes in with his mind set on what kind of players he wants and he doesn't want you, it destroys your confidence. I went through this at JUCO... Played with NBA-caliber guys, D1 players, everything... They would all comment (on their own) that I was nice. But my coach (who happened to never play ball past high school) didn't want to use me unless he had to, it started making me wonder how good I really was... Even though I knew I was better than the guys he was playing.

Man, I hope the best for Carroll and that we can get something valuable in return, it just shows what a mess this franchise is in...

Matt Carroll wouldn't be a starter to 7th man on any team with real aspirations.

At best he's a heavy rotation player in an offense that will use his skill set...and if he is used that way he has an OK contract...but that is not what LB wants so (for us) he has a terrible contract....again I'd rather find a better "package" trade that has more than one trading partner so that "perhaps" we could get a more impact (and possible starter) player than Evans or Jeffries...
