Who's our go to scorer Augustin?

playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

the go to scorer is Boris Diaw and whoever else plays center after the next supposed trade...that's why this trade and the next one are so risky...

i think LB doesn't like jump shoots or 3 pts..or at least wants players to be very selective. i think he wants his points to come from the front court

Too inconsistent I love his handles but he's not really going to bring opposing bigs out the paint to respect his shot. If he had a jumper and was a consistent key/ more aggressive player for the Suns I'd be estactic at the moment. I hope we don't take two more steps back if more moves are coming.

He shoots over 30% from 3-point range, the defense will have to respect that.

His shot will fall some games and others he'll be ice cold all we can do is pray that with a bigger role he's motivated to get back to how he played in 05/06

did you foget JUWAAAANNN howard? ( i can already imagine the voice of the PA announcer saying it)

i honestly haven't paid attention to Boris play..he does look skinny for a PF...but perhaps Juwan fills in...or Mek if they move him to a 4 with a new center..

it's true, it's certainly a risky move...but as others in the board have pointed out, we are not getting any better with what we currently have

He's signed?

nope, but i consulted the magic eight ball and it said "signs point to yes"

http://www.osric.com/8ball/

it seems that all the news outlets, including FS and Higgins himself that we will sign him

i wasn't being too serious about Juwan, it will be interesting to see how he ends up playing, don't have too high expectations

I don't want to sound like im dogging Jrich or anything cause im not. But he is in no way shape or form a "go to scorer". He can pour in points thats for sure and he is a good 3 quarter guy. But when it comes down to it...4th quarter, a go to scorer finishes games off, and I can't remember the last time he did that.

He's not a takeover the game Bean Bryant or Bron type player but he's shown flases and was still our best offensive option to score from anywhere on the floor we took a couple steps back with this one IMO. We needed that big that would complement HIS game like he now has with the Suns.

If any of you watched the Miami game the other night, Richardson missed two free throws, in the last minute that would have tied the game. This is not what we need in a go to player(if that is what people are saying he is)

On a side note, if Wallace does get traded for a C, dont count on it being anyone we have heard in trade rumors up to this point. The trade last night was the first anyone had heard of dealing with Phoenix. Maybe they will get creative.

THANK YOU

People are looking at that "18.9" on J-Rich's stat page and not paying attention to the actual games.

THANK YOU

People are looking at that "18.9" on J-Rich's stat page and not paying attention to the actual games.

Based on 4th quarter stats last year, J-rich averaged 4.5 pts in the 4th quarter, good for 52nd in the league and tied for 2nd on the team behind Wallace (4.9) and tied with Felton at 4.5. He also shot 39% in the 4th quarter, which is worse than Felton(40.6%).

While not bad stats, unfortunately it also wasn't the cure-all for the 4th quarter and the go to scorer in the clutch we were looking for.

Obviously Okafor has to be the guy to get the buckets, LB wants him to and so does the organization with that $$$ they paid him. The team needs him to step up, along with the continued play of DJ, and CRASH just needs to be more consistent this year. Mek stepped it up tonight, and almost stole one from Dallas. I cant wait til Saturday at the arena to welcome the new boys to the squad!

Part of being a go to scorer is being able to get the dang ball. That's Omeka's biggest flaw. He's finally demonstrating some grit and not dancing around trying to avoid contact, but he still is too easy to cover. Sometimes they definitely miss him when he's open, but he's got a tendency to pout and just kinda stand around on the low block.

The addition of Singeltary adds another point guard that's absolutely spooky with the drive and dish and comes out of a college situation where he absolutely thrived in a two point guard system. Since Brown seems to love the Felton/Augustine combo, he's definitely going to get some mileage out of Felton/Singeltary and Augustine/Singeltary. It may give the Bobcats one of the hardest to defend driving point guard rotation in the league. Now if we could get our big guys to stop bobbling chest places at close range, we'll have three guys who can deliver the ball anywhere on the court in those clutch situations.

I think with the trade , Geting Diaw, Bell , and Singletery makes us more balanced.
And after watching Mek play p/f beside Hollins convenced me we need to go a head and trade Wallace for a center. With that last trade and the addition of Howard i think we can still make the playoffs . And even make some noize in the east.
I don't know what center the Cats have in mind but im going to trust who ever Brown want's to finish this thing out.
Be for our eyes we seeing a very soft team become a tough team .

i think the trade should be felton and others for a center. felton is up for contract next year. we just traded for 2 players that can play point, plus shannon brown to back up dj. we just made felton expendable during a year in which we have no real chance to make the playoffs. if we trade wallace, we have no slasher and then we have a hole for a tough 3 guard. it makes more sense to me to trade felton while the gettins good.
