It,s no reason to keep Felton much longer. 1st im the biggest Felton fan on this board but his days are numbered.
1st Hes a nice starting point for a lot of teams . But not a top 10 point
2 Hes a great team type guy the type thet can help you win championships
3. He has a perfect contract for a champinoship run
4 Hes low maintance . He don't whine or cry about the things the organisation does. [example look at what help hes trying to be to Augustin]
5. He can play the one or the two and is a good defender at both positions.
I think Augustin is about ready to take over and we now have the players to guard his back. That makes Felton expendable.
Diew can play point if needed . He has a nice handle.
S Brown can get by in a pinch
Singletery another rookie but has great upside and Brown knows it. Remember he worked out for Brown and Brown has been watching him for years . The kid might be another steal.

That said Felton could be the piece to bring in another quility big . A packege of him and expirings wlould appeal to a lot of teams right about now . I expect that apeal might have as much value as Swish had considering contracts. I expect a combo of Felton and May to be gone as early as the end of the weak, Hollins mght be added in that too depending on what we pick up.
But Felton has become expendable with the addition of Singletery and he has high value right now ,Expect a trade for him soon.
Who do you think Felton and expirings might bring in ??
We need Felts now more than ever.
playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

first off, great find...did not know that we brought singletary for tryouts. makes me feel more comfortable that LB knows 2 of the 3 players we brought in the trade.
second, while felton might be part of a package, it's hard to think that LB would allow a rookie PG to run the offense. i thought he liked veterans and seeing how much he values the PG position, i would be surprised. but who knows, maybe DJ is ready in the eyes of LB.
I still think that RF will be here through the end of the season..

Felton is low risk and high reward and i hope he stays . Hes my favorite player . But as far as value is concerned . He has the most on the team considering contracts.
Hes a great trade piece . Other wize we lose him for nothing at the end of the season or pony up some big bucks and a nice contract.

I tend to agree that Felton is going to be the one to go. Wallace's contract will scare people off and since we are unlikely to offer Felton the amount of money he's going to want, I think he gets moved. DJ's play has probably made LB feel better about turning the keys over to a rookie. Please please please if we trade Ray, let us get the better end of the deal. I hate feeling like we trade a dollar for 75 cents (or worse) each time.

Even though I think about Chris Paul (unfairly) every time I see Felton and/or May out there, I've always liked Felton as a player. Yes he's not the stud PG I was hoping we had when we drafted him, but he's a damn good basketball player and if we do deal him we better get something excellent in return. Raymond is FAR from throwaway.

The only place that I see Felton going to is Portland, and it doesn't even make much sense. Unless we were to throw in Carroll or GW, (which is possible, but if they both went there we would get hosed yet again by what the Bobcats would get in return) Felton alone would basically only bring us Frye or Outlaw (maybe not even him). I don't see Felton going anywhere this season, I'd expect the FO to let him walk and not get anything in return for him.

Considering on how we get screwed in EVERY DAMN DEAL, what type of PF/C do you guys think Jordan can get in a trade for Felton?
I'll tell you who...Jarron Collins, that's who.
I'm with Slam. We absolutely need him now. There is no one on the roster who can create at the 2 except for Felton. He can't shoot for shit consistently but he's what we have.

Felton for Collins it's no way we make that deal . Those players are not in the same class.
I have a feeling it's Felton and May for Crrry though . I don't like that to much either
What about the back guy for the Raptors Barngarni of somthing like that .
Him for Wallace?

I have no confidence we won't make the most stupidest deal known to man. IMO we've never won a trade, and we've been handed such luxuries as:
1) McInnis was barred from the team and they were paying him to stay home...yet we get NOTHING as incentive.
2) Nazr...Detroit fans said all summer long that they thought DET would be willing to part with a 1st just to move him. We come along and give up 2 expirings.
3) Swish...their owner was dying for cap relief and was being investigated by the IRS...he was desperate. We come along and give them 10 million in capspace (which almost no other team could do) and all we got was an early 2nd.
Oh hell yeah I think Jordan would trade Felton for someone like Collins. He has no frigging clue what value and a fair deal is.

Call me crazy, but even though he's undersized for the 2, Felton is just as good of an offensive player as J-Rich is IMO. I think Felton's scoring will be one of the main ones to go up due to the trade.

I was too busy celebrating getting rid of Brezec in that deal to care about anything else. I still am glad he is gone.

I'm a Felts fan but offensively they're not even close Jason has a all around offense game & was consistent

Ok, I will. You are crazy. I love Ray, but there is no way he's as good an offensive player as JRich. I agree, his scoring will have to improve, but it isn't reasonable to expect Felts to start bombing 3s and to fill the scoring gap himseslf. He needs to stick with breakaway layups and then work his way back to the 3pt line.

I think Ray is quite capable of scoring 18-19 a night. Which is exactly what J-Rich was doing for us.

This has just capped off a wonderful days posting for you.

Do we really want to lose Felton for nothing? Or do we look to trade him and try to get something back even if it is 75 cents on a dollar? We lose that 75 cents if we let Felton walk at the end of the year for nothing and we aren't a championship contender this year. I would like to have some pieces that could help us next year instead of nothing....

off of how many shots though..... it would take him twice as many shots as J-Rich to do so.....

+1 for FFP in finding my new avatar.
Jeff...man either you're awesome at using sarcasm or your lack of knowledge about basketball and the Bobcats in particular rivals the Idiot.
The one thing I need to be thankful for is Jordan's hesitation from bringing in Duke players because I just thought of the perfect move for "His Airness"...
Felton for Shellhead.
I'd go to see the games just to boo that guy.
