Bobcats are fine as soon as you free up the guard position. LB is compensating minutes at the guard postion instead of keeping Diaw fresh and playing Hollins. Do the trade with Felton (though I love this guy) and due a 4 man rotation with Wallace, Mek, Diaw and Hollins. I think Diaw got tired yesterday and rightfuly so. You cant have the bst shot blocker in the game (Smith) helping on defense, if he does you have to make him pay. This team has a ton of talent and LB will find the right rotation but I am affraid it starts with a trade at the guard position.

Rose and augustn very seldom guarded one another in that final four match up. But Rose did have a better game. He also is playing 39 minutes per so I expect better numbers. DJ will do just fine though im sure he learned a lil something from the Hawks game. Kick it back out or stop and pop he has that in his arsenal and is not getting calls when he goes to the rack...We'll see tonight though..Hopefully iget this one in hd like the last game..Go Cats!!!!!!!!!

According to boxscore 1 shot = 2 points, 1 offensive and 1 defensive rebound in 2 minutes. Sean was raly energizing, loke maybe overmotivated, but hustled and fans liked that. Drived a lot, passes were near turnovers. When he subbed out there a free seat made next to Larry for him - so some advices probably happened.

Well worth the trip! Wasn't sure I'd make the game, but I got out of the doctor's office with enough time, and it turned into another exciting night at the TWC.

As usual, it started out with an horrific start that made me question why I'd gone, but then Ryan Hollins and DJ enter the game, and weird things start to happen, and it's suddenly a game at the half...

As for Bell, I hate to say, but the best thing to happen for us was for him to get the boot; not sure why he's pressing so hard, but he's been a disaster outside of being able to rebound the ball. Hopefully, he can go out on the road and knock a shot down Friday night because the longer and longer he goes without hitting a shot, the more stressed out he's going to get, which is no doubt what led to his short fuse tonight.

(I wonder if Keetch knows what obscene names he called the official to get tossed from the game so suddenly?!?)

As bad as Bell is looking Boris is looking that good. He's a master of off-the-ball movement with his pick'n pops, pick'n rolls, picks to set up the offguard for a shot. Then there's his deft high post passes to Mek, and that beautiful bounce pass to Juwan in the post, who had sealed off his man leading to a Bulls foul. What a beast to come in and log the minutes he logged in back to back games....well over 80 minutes(!!!!!) after riding the bench in PHX. Also, he and Lexy had a mini-one on one going during pregame shootaround which was fun to watch.

As usual, after I'm ready to ship Raymond off, he comes back with a really really good game that makes me never want to see him leave. Seeing him walk out of huddles with his arm around DJ or Boris or Matt....he may not always make the right decisions, but he just wants to win and be a better teammate, and those intangibles....I'll just really miss him when/if he's gone....

Mek earned his paycheck, not for the sweet 20/13 game, but that block on Rose at the end of regulation...never seen such a clutch defensive play from the Bobcats....those shots always go in for the other team (and this one would've probably too) but Mek made sure the ball wasn't going to get a chance to get near the rim. Like I've said before, the body language is no contest to where it was last year, and he looks (as much as the reserved Mek can) like he's having a lot of fun and it's showing in his numbers the last few weeks!

Kudos to Juwan for coming out and producing after the time away from the game. Looks like we finally found our bench 4 for the rest of the year!!! He really struggled with defensive rotations which led to Thomas getting 4 dunks in the first half, but I think that'll come around as he learns the system. Plus he gets a pass for busting his ass and diving on the floor for a lose ball, which got as an extra possession in the first half. He earns major respect points from me just for that play alone.

Now onto the Saint...yes, it's time to annoit DJ, Saint Augustin; he's earned it! Although it doesn't do Rick Barnes or any UT fans out there any good, DJ put his humilation at the hands of Derrick Rose in last year's tourney well behind him tonight, and, actually, turned the damn tables on the number one pick. It was so much fun to watch our star rookie take it to their (and the nation's) star rookie, highlighted by the Rose fould on DJ's 3....and what does the Saint do? Knocks down all 3 without touching the damn net! The kid's not human.....

Just a hell of a whole lot of fun tonight: from the guy over in 211 who kept clapping at random and yelling out stuff like "Let's go Bobcats," and "Come on defense," and "You got it, DJ," and "We need this one, baby. Come on. Let's go Bobcats," the entire game, to the stuf mentioned above, to the outcome...especially the outcome.

Maybe....maybe it's time to put some wins together; but if not, good game tonight!

Mon observations pour le match ce soir:

Messiurs Ajinca and Diaw seem to have struck up a fast friendship (go figure). During the pregame warmups they had their own little thing going on the court; playing off of one another and having a good time. I haven't seen Lexi smile so much before (I haven't really seen Lexi smile at all).

LB seems to be warming up to Hollins. Whether the play is very good, or very bad (which is where Hollins works); it seems to bring a smile to Larry's face. During one play in the 1st half Ryan chased a ball out of bounds needlessly and looked pretty silly doing it. LB was shaking his head, but kind of laughing. Later when Hollins made a very nice dribble / reverse jam; I saw Larry turn to Phil Ford, grinning ear to ear.

Our team defense shut down Derrick Rose. He couldn't drive because the defense collapsed on him every time. Rose still managed some nice pass outs, but otherwise, he was outnumbered. Gordon didn't have so much trouble driving though. I don't think we were focused on him.

Raja came out cold as ice. The Arena was pretty shocked when he was ejected, mostly because Raja showed no outward sign of being all that upset. He had just walked over to the ref to make his case in a professional way; then BAM see ya. I thought "sweet"; dude just "professionally" cussed out the ref and got his ass ejected. Now THAT'S style. Bell just made a few further points to the ref and then walked off. This team needs that kind of attitude.

The refs were seriously bad tonite. It was refreshing to see Rose get a bad call at the end. DRose (very unprofessionally) went bonkers on the ref but apparantly left out the golden words; thus stayed the game.

That missed goaltending call was bad bad bad. Lord this group of refs was awful. LOL I watched Noah get mauled under the basket one time....no call. I think he got fouled 5 times on that one. Okafor got called for a loose ball foul in the second quarter for jumping over the back of another Bobcat....seriously.

DJ was phenomenal for sure. Felton too in his way. Watching Felton in the 4th Quarter; after one particularly tough play when he shot it too quick....LB called timeout. I watched Felton walk to the bench I swear the guy was in a zone. His eyes were huge and a little crazy looking. Dude was seriously wired. Maybe that's why he does what he does a crunch times. He's zoned out.

No Ammo tonite. It's probably a good thing he didn't get into the game late. He was looking pretty sleepy during the timeouts.

I'm glad you brought up the goaltending no-call on Boris's shot there in the 4th; that was absolutely amazing, and knowing Beagle's spontaneous spurts of profanity, I yelled out a louder than needed, "WTF(used the actual words)!!" Thankfully, the crowd got rowdy after that one, and the kid 2 rows up from me didn't hear....I hope.

But, yeah, those turds were exceptionally bad. I don't think either of those last 2 fouls on Gooden were actual fouls. Obviously, I'll take them because we get hosed on a regular basis, but I've seen a lot worse not called.

i was really impressed by the way we stepped it up in quarters 2-4 (and OT). DJ is very clutch and really gives me hope. As well as the team finding emeka in the post, i hate to say it but we didnt do bad tonight w/o wallace. I feel horrible for what he is going through, but if we get the right deal games like this doesnt help him stay here. Bottom line we finally finished a game, and i loved the enthusiam for the fans that were at the arena. It was prolly the 2nd best game of the year (hornets)
