(http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/players/coach?id=7)Brown Happy Working With Jordan
Larry Brown (http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/players/coach?id=7) | Bobcats (http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=cha)
Michael Jordan (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=1035)'s official title with the Charlotte Bobcats (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=cha) is "managing member of basketball operations," but many locals believe it should be "absentee GM." The former Bulls great rarely attends home games and spends large portions of the season away from Charlotte. But Bobcats coach Larry Brown said he is happy with his working arrangement with Jordan.
"I don't see him as much on a daily basis, he's very involved," Brown said. "I talk to him a lot, and he throws out suggestions. I wish he was around all the time, but I'm always in contact with him. ... I came here because of Michael, no other reason. I'm not disappointed in what's happened so far. I don't think he believes it's going to happen overnight." -- Chicago Sun-Times (http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/bulls/1334709,CST-SPT-bullnt17.article)
"He watches every game," Brown said. "I can always call him. But I have Rod (Higgins) here, I have Buzz (Peterson) here. They're in constant contact with him." "I'm not disappointed in what's happened thus far in my relationship with him. [B]I know we'll get this thing done." -- Arlington Heights Daily Herald (http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=258709)
Just a random ESPN rumor blurb I found today. I really could care less what Michael does with his time. I mean Steve Kerr is at the arena everyday and that sure isn't helping his GM skills. I just think its possible for Jordan to be effective in his "duties" without being there everyday. I feel like his "absentee" label is more overrated. Bob hasn't shown up this year that I can remember.
but it was nice to know that Larry feels good about things, so I thought I'd share.
