Our friendly neighborhood Beagle (that's fun to say :) ) spoke with Michael Thompson about possible ideas for things that we can do for Crash to express our condolences as a group over his recent losses. This is what Michael Thompson suggested.
What if you guys made a Planet poster or giant sign and all came to the game on Saturday to sign it? I could get space at a table and we could post on the board where the location is to sign the item. After the game I could take you and a couple other guys down by Backcourt to hand it to him when he comes out to get his family.
Thoughts? Are there any creative folks in the house that thinks that they may be able to come up with something from BCP for Saturday night's game? It would be a good chance to meet Gerald.

I'm actually in Charlotte and would be so down for this. I completely lack photoshop or design skills, though.
Tell me where to be to sign it and maybe give it to Gerald, if we're that lucky, and I'll be there. With all the crazy trade talk this season, it'd be good to remind Gerald that he's beloved here in Charlotte.
I'd like to be there but can't make this weekend...I know it needs (would be good) to do it ASAP...just sorry I can't be there...

I'm down for future games (so long as you're not an axe-wielding maniac), but I'm already in Charlotte now.

Yeah, (on the future games...not axe-wielding maniac) we probably should do that. It just dawned on me that I really have no excuse not to go Saturday; everyone's going to be at the in-laws this weekend and I'm all by my lonesome.
That's a long ass drive tho, and I'd have to drive back after the game.
Heh, and the wife is telling me I should go (she didn't much care for the idea of spending 300$ on a front row center court seat tho...hey, if I'm going I want to do it right!).

Between you, spectre, eaton and myself (I think that's the Raleigh folks), we could do that a lot cheaper than individually.

i have yet to go to a bobcats game (#1 reason is b/c of transportation. #2 is ticket prices of course :D), but my first game will be jan 23 with a couple friends to the phoenix game (ironic we did the trade with them, eh?)
anyway, do you guys usually buy the cheapo seat tix or the more expensive ones?

Won't be able to go to the game, but sure wish I could..What if Michael Thompson could get a table and fans walking around the arena could sign it. It advertise BCP, as well as be a nice thing for Crash. It be awesome if we could hook up an interview with wallace...but wish I could be there, but sadly can not...

Sounds like it might be a challenge to get the poster developed and signed, so everyone can send a condolences emails to me at mthompson@bobcats.com and I will be happy to print and deliver them to Gerald personally. If you do come up with something printed, let me know and I will get a table for Tuesday's game for everyone to come by and sign the poster/card.

I'll be there tonight and would like to sign the poster. Where can I meet you at? I'm sitting section 103 Row Q seat 12. I would love to meet g' force and express my sympathy for him and maybe get an autograph. So if Mr Thompson can make it happen you know where to find me.

Thanks in advance.

If you do come up with something printed, let me know and I will get a table for Tuesday's game for everyone to come by and sign the poster/card. It's not happening tonight, guys. Let's try to get something together for Tuesday!!! Maybe just get a big piece of posterboard and somebody go to Kinkos and put the Bobcats Planet header (I think that's what it's called---the thing at the top of each page here on the site with the logo that represents the "o" in Bobcats) on the top of the posterboard, and maybe have "To Gerald" printed on it also, then those of us that sign it, will sign it. If I knew the first thing about graphics and computers, and such, I'd do it gladly, but I don't know anything.
To whomever does this, I'll pay whatever it costs when we meet up Tuesday. I just think it's a cool idea, and think Gerald would appreciate, plus we get to meet him!

I got my tickets for Tuesdays game (I'll be in 217/D/7&8 if folks wanna meet and shoot the breeze about the Bobcats). The entire family will be in-tow, too as I usually make them go to games with me.
In any case, is there more info on if someone has made/can make a poster of some kind? I can't imagine it would take too much, but then again, I've never really done anything like it and I'll be on the road all day tomorrow.

If nobody has the time/ability to put something nice but not complicated like I mentioned two posts above, I'll just buy some posterboard at Office Max or something before the game Tuesday, and we'll all just sign it blank. I'd really like to have something that advertises BCP, as that's sort of the point of the whole thing, but if nobody has the time/ability, I'll just do like I say since something's better than nothing.
If I hear nothing, I'll assume we're not doing it, and I'll just have my own personal card to give GW.
