Golden State Warriors @ Charlotte Bobcats 12/20

Bobcats (9-17) host the Warriors (7-19) tonight at the cable box. After getting Gerald Wallace back last ngiht and his boost of 22 points , Charlotte has put together back-to-back wins for the 2nd time this year. Golden State has fallen from grace and their huge 8th over a 1 seed in the playoffs 2 years ago. It all possibly started with the trade of Jason Richardson to Charlotte for the rights to Brandan Wright on draft night prior to the 07-08 season. Well Jason Richardson has since turned into Boris Diaw. Currently, Diaw (as a Bobcat) is leading the team in scoring with 18.3/per in his 4 games. 7 game losing streak followed by back to back wins over Chicago(currently 8th in the east) and a big blowout last night in Memphis (who cares, they're Memphis).

Golden State coach-waiting-to-be-fired Don Nelson has decided he doesn't know what he's doing on the defensive side of the ball and has named his assistant coaches Keith Smart and Sidney Moncrief "defensive coordinators." True enough Golden State allows the most points by opponents, 112 per game. I started that sentance not knowing the actual number, that's huge. The Bobcats are the league's worst offensive team at 90.8 ppg. I'm interested to see what happens tonight in the arena.

Also, do you realize the Bobcats have 2 players in the top 10 in fg% right now? Good luck GSW, Biedrins, Jackson Randolph and Turiaf, do any of these guys have shot? Who will guard the PG's Ray and DJ? Those are the matchups I like. CJ Watson? Who starts for them at PG? Bellinelli? Why do they have so many players whose names are hard to spell. PG match up we win big, defense we win huge, Okafor/Diaw/Hollins(hopefully) will be open underneith. I just see this going our way, but i've been wrong like thrice before.

I did miss that because I don't read anything Bonnell writes. I did a quick news search and didn't see anything except for fantasy sites re-reporting what Bonnell said and citing him so that's the only thing I've got on DJ and this ankle thing. He left the game with 6:41 left in the 4th and didn't return but then again none of the starters did. I don't remember seeing anything in the game. You know what a night and a plane ride can do to a minor sprain so we'll have to see at the game tonight. I'm headed out the door. Y'all post some stuff cause I forget a lot between the walk back to the car, the drive home and the 5 big beers at the game, I don't drive after the beers, don't worry Bonnell. Was that mean?

Just got back from the game. Sat lower bowl with my Mom... it was a great time even though we lost.

I really think that what killed us was not so much Crawford as Biedrens' rebounding and Azibuike's shooting in the 3rd quarter. That created the separation, Crawford's points just maintained it.

Anyways, I still think that we're playing like a team now more than ever before. Let's win the next three. I know we have the ability.

We have the ABILITY to go out and be a 7th or 8th seed in the east, but we dont follow through. I have as much optimism as anybody about the bobcats, but these games slowly bring me down to the reality of being a fan of the bobcats. Bottom line we are a team, that isnt bad, but doesnt do well enough to be good. Thats why we cant even get a high lottery pick.

Bobcats, right now are 4.5 back from Chicago who holds the 8 spot. They would have to leapfrog 6 teams in the east, Chicago, Milwaukee, Philly, New York, Indiana and Toronto. Anything is possible but I'm not watching the standings right now. This team would have to string together about 6 wins before that'll happen.
