as much as it pains me to say it, i think that the careers of sean may and adam morrison have been derailed too much for them to regain what was once. both suffered massive knee injuries and i dont ever see them having the potential they once possessed.
this season morrison hasnt fired on offense like he once used to and sean may... well he cant even get up and down the floor!
i admit, i thought both were fantastic players BEFORE their horrific injuries who could both develop into stars, but now i just dont see them being the players they could have been :(
even more importantly, i believe their injuries have contributed to the little success that the bobcats have experienced. i mean, if both never got injured, i would have thought this season to be the season for us.
i fear the worst; i am writing them off
what do you think?

i am ready to kill sean may cuz he doesn't give anything to our team.....
Morrison is unfairly getting bench splinters because we have a couple of great forwards and guards and I guess LB just doesn't have a spot for him now.

I can understand being frustrated w/ Sean May but I can't be mad at the guy. He's injury prone, who knew? With numerous knee surgeries including the micro procedure I really wasn't expecting much from him this year especially at the start of the season considering he was cleared to play in September after a year layoff. You have Amare' & K-Mart who recovered from this procedure but countless others who never returned to pre-micro form (Penny, Mashburn, Allan Houston). I think its clear if he ever becomes productive in the league again it will be with another team.
Adam is the 7th or 8th guy off the bench and he should be tagged a "crafty scorer" who can get your team buckets when needed. I would think he could average 8-10pts/gm if used the right way. The only problem with all of that is where he was selected in the draft. The 3rd pick in the draft should eventually be a starter or star maybe, not a role player.
why are we not releasing sean may?

I think it is safe to say that May wont be a bobcat next year..... I dont think him or morrison could ever have been "stars" even b4 their injuries.... I think may couldve been a solid starter, but he just cant get back into the grove. Maybe he will he isnt old or nething, and Morrison i think at best is a 6th man and can easily go down as a let down for the 3rd pick. Stars were available, brandon roy rudy gay....... i mean i dont think I need to go there, but maybe im wrong but morrison will never be a star. I know he is a competitor but he is useless on the bobcats, tonight he made 2 fouls on back to back defense trips because he cant play D. Matt carroll can play D, and thats why he is better and plays a bit more the morrison. I will be shocked to see morrison on the bobcats by the trade deadline of next year.....

your neglecting the fact that morrison has not earned that spot, if he was good enough, there would be a spot for him... his nba future is bleak...

My thinking is this. We already have to pay him for the year so why cut him now. He may be useful as trade fodder, we all know how teams love those expiring contracts. It makes no sense to cut him, and still have to pay him just to have a roster spot. Its not like he is getting paid under 1M like the others we cut this season already.
I for one will be very happy when he is no longer wasting our money.

I agree. Maybe we cut him after the trade deadline when he is no longer useful to us (just to get him away from the team). We can tell him that we're giving him the opportunity to sign with a contender!
