Washington Wizards at Charlotte Bobcats 12/23

Lets see now, Former Bobcats President Ed Tapscott is now interim coach of the Washington Wizards. Since his ascension / demotion to the bench the Wizards have gone 3-10.

The Wiz are still without Agent Zero, Etan Thomas and Brenda Haywood ( that may actually be a plus ) and they are a very ugly 1-9 on the road.

This should be an easy win for the Cats... Right?

I don't want to seem like I'm rubbing it in...but it's on my TV tonight! No FSN Carolina means unlocked on League Pass!

Very curious to see how they bounce back after the loss to GSW. No doubt it's no gimme either; they have 2 near all stars and they've been having a good year. Jamison's a 20/10 guy and Butler is averaging 21 on 47% shooting. If we can contain their supporting staff and we stay out of foul trouble I think we can take them.

Boris vs. Jamison should be interesting.

We really look good early on! On the 2nd play Boris made a behind the back over his left shoulder pass to Mek for a layup...only Mek didn't finish the layup. We're moving the ball, getting what we want offensively and we're playing pretty good D.

Are they all saying that? Sometimes they'll come on after the game has started.

It started when we subbed out and we never seemed to recover. Even now at the half all the starters are in the + category and the bench is in the negative.

It wasn't real pretty, but that win makes 3 out of 4. Terrific game by Okafor! 29 pts 18 reb and 4 assists! Solid game by Crash with 16 pts and 8 reb.

Okafor had a great game tonight. He just needs to really get his FT % up. I dont understand why they are contemplating using him in trade discussions(that is if the rumors have any validity), especially with the way he has been playing lately.

It was either going to be the worst loss in franchise history or a great Christmas present...thankfully it was the latter. It was a painful game to sit through and watch much of the time, but nothing beats a win, no matter how ugly it was.

Mek just looked so blah until the fourth quarter, I still have trouble believing he had 29 pts....if he could've just knocked down 2 more FTs, he'd have a new career high. Still upset he blew Boris's sweet behind the head pass early in the 1st, but what're you going to do? Unfortunately, that lady's face new what to do with the ball on Boris's errant pass later in the game....

As bad as his shot was tonight, Boris's defense was amazing on Antawn...his size and speed made Antawn a non-factor, which was basically the difference in the game. If his teammates could've knocked down some shots, Boris would've had a 3rd straight triple double, this time with boards and assists. Not to mention Raja's overall good game. There's something to be said that when these two aren't out on the court, the Cats just look out of synch on both ends of the court.

PG play was awful all night until the last half of the 4th when Raymond has some nice assists, but overall, he and DJ were a mess out there.

No Lexy again. Not really liking this trend at all. No reason why he shouldn't've been out there when McGee was playing and Ryan having an off night.

Still, good to hit double digits in wins before the holidays!

I gotta take credit, though, for Mek playing so well tonight. Instead of wearing my usual GW jersey, I rocked the number 50 tonight. Naturally, he went 29 and 18. Just sayin'... (I'm now THE Muttley Almighty Newsbreaker... that's right, "THE MAN"!)
