I was reading on another board and also on hoopsworld and was thinking about the same thing. Larry Hughes would be a good fit at sg with Bell backing him up.
Hughes: "I am not happy with my minutes
The thing is how do we get him.

Sac wants to get rid of Miller and the Bulls want him so we facilitate and help them get a deal done. Tyrus Thomas could be swoped for Noah since he has been in the doghouse in Chicago for a while. We get backcourt and frontcourt help in one fair swope. Maybe if we could find some picks or something we could get this one to work?

not by much...he is more athletic but is a worse shooter...no really a fan i would rather wait and draft a sg than to waste the cap space on someone that is not the answer

This is off subject but I remember when Hughes was a Sixer and LB said if he worked at it he could be the best pg in the league due to his size, athleticism, and ball handling abilities.
Anyways, I'm not a fan of Hughes. He's too inconsistent and way to injury prone. Now, if we were getting the Wizards version of Larry Hughes I'd be all for it, but we're not. He's way overpaid for what he would bring to the team.

i concur...Hughes is garbage... Im from Cleveland originally, live in Charlotte now...I used to love Larry Hughes then his little Bother died and he was never the same...after he left Cleveland (thank God) he made a few comments and these are not exact quotes but he said he cared more about playing time and money than winning... what does that tell you about the guy... I wouldnt want him on the Cavs or the Bobcats...I do know for a fact that LB and Jordan do like him alot, I hope they arent infatuated with him like Jordan seams to get with certain( not very good Players) I think the Cats need a scoring big man or just more depth all around they are not far from being a playoff team. Do not trade Diaw whatever you do
Salary and injury history should always be a concern with Hughes...I'm in the camp to draft an all-around type SG...

No !!!!!!!
I'd actually welcome either of these deals. I'm not the biggest Hughes fan and he is definitely overpaid, but his contract is up in 2 years. That's 12 million+ in cap space right there for the 2010 free agent crop. Noah or Thomas would be fine with me.
I would still like to think that Morrison has a chance to develop into a strong 6th man but so far, on a team that needs scoring, I haven't seen the same improvement from him as I have seen from many others. Giving up Morrison (who rarely plays), Nazy (who has more than 2 years left on his deal), and Carroll (who is probably overpaid and certainly has more than 2 years on his deal) really isn't giving up much. At the end of the day, if nothing else, it helps us out of 2 bad contracts.
If I could turn those 3 players in to Hughes, Noah AND major cap space for 2010, I would jump all over that. I really doubt anything like this would happen though...

I agree 100%. Good analysis. Hughes is a pretty streaky guy from 3 years back but hasn't been much here lately. He's all attitude from what I've seen and I don't know if I like that but what have we got to lose in making a trade like this, although, since we're talking about it and since it makes sense, it won't happen.
