Seriously we need him badly as soon as possible. With all those bricks our team is schooting and all those opponent SG having an experience of a lifetime of free way to score at will, we need him more than ever.

Been on it, I think we need to make a move to get another 5+ ppg SG onto the roster too.

Like I wrote on the Bucks (Friday night) thread: I called this after the Nets game where he went down:

I was kinda on the "Bell's past his prime" bandwagon during his first two games here, but after a while, he started to get aquainted with the offense. Now, he's probably the most valuable two that we have (shooting 3s, defense etc.) After watching the Buck's game, I'm more than convinced that Rajah is in through need!

He's the most valuable 2 based on the fact that we don't have any other good 2. We saw the lack of a 2 when we got J-Rich. We traded him because he was the most valuable player we had to bring back something good. As Larry said we got 2 starters and a very hopeful second rounder for 1 starter, 1 role player and a PROTECTED second round pick. Not the best, I'd rather have kept dudley or the pick, but this I'm sure was a sticking point and we didn't want to wait too long. Now we have no depth at 2 again, little at 3, there are ways to rotate to give us depth at 4/5 and clearly we're set on the 1 front. We've all seen the rumors, its likely to be felton and a wing player for a veteran 1 and fairly good 2 or 3, but who knows until NBA news tells me or an alert pops up in my google, nothing happened.

I once pulled my groin when I was in college playing rugby. Let me tell you, it hurt like a bitch. I couldn't make cuts whatsoever. Now, in basketball, lateral movement is much more important than it is in rugby, and I was out for a week. With that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if Rajah is out for another week.

He'll be back Tuesday...was a game time decision Saturday night.

FWIW, I was on the Raja bandwagon from the moment we traded for him. Even if he has lost a step defensively he's still the best defending 2 we've ever had...and there's no way DJ as a starter would work without a defensive minded partner IMO.

Same here; and from the stories I've heard about him from MT (who got to know him really well in Yakima where Raja played CBA ball out of college), and from interactions I've seen between him and kids at the game, he's an A+ person too, which, being the anachronism that I am, is still important to me!

Raj is the man!

Yes, I too really like that Raja is on the Bobcats' roster! After a short adjustment period, he really came on strong. I hope he's back tomorrow, and returns to form.

According to Bonnell Raja is going to be out until Friday (unlike what the Gaston Gazette said the other day...which was Tuesday).

Hammer vs. Ray Allen. Yippee.

Man, attitude was one of the things I wanted! We have NO attitude on this team and I think it's about time we have someone who doesn't mind putting his face in someone's grill.

I also liked getting a defensive minded vet to pair with everyone else.

attitude for the team is good, attitde for the self is bad (Rasheed vs. Marbury exhibit a and b)

Did anyone notice at the end of the last time out vs. Detroit when it was almost over and the 5 starters were still huddled together without LB? Did you see who was doing all the talking/leading the discussion?

Raja Bell.

Not only does Raja bring much needed defense along the perimeter (AI was 5 of 12 last night & Rip was 4 of 12, tho Raja wasn't defending either solely), he also brings veteran leadership to the starting unit.

During FTs (I think Mek) the camera also caught him in Felton's ear, and again he instigated and led the conversation.

He's not flashy and he seldom scores a lot of points...but I think his value to this team and to our success is way more than he's given credit for.

playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

interesting..didn't notice it, ill keep an eye out for him in the huddles next time

although i didn't see it i think it is expected, thats why LB is so adamant about having veteran players in this team (juwan, raja)

(On the chemistry between he and Emeka Okafor)
"Emeka is a really good player. Sometimes a different look can help a guy like him when guys don’t necessarily want to leave us (defensively) on the perimeter and he’s going to be able to work one-on-one with guys in the post. That’s all you can ask for as an offensive player is to get a one-on-one opportunity, and I’m happy to be able to do that for Mek. He’s great when my man comes to help – he finds me on the perimeter and then it’s up to me to make shots. It’s been a pleasure playing with him."

Different dimension to Raja that hasn't been noticed.
