If by the end of the 1st quarter we aren't playing any better than we did last night then I'll be cracking this bad boy open.

http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i135/pavini/EverClear.jpg

Anybody else with me ? :hypo:

They have to play better than they did last night, for the sake of their own self respect, for the sake of the fans and most importantly for the sake of Ziggy's liver... Tonight must be a win.

bing!

If only the Cats were aware of the importance of your liver, ::sigh:: , they'd have won a championship by now. ;)

And it is here (justin.tv link) (http://www.justin.tv/trever1982) where we'll witness the mighty Cats triumph over the lowly dickhe... Bucks.

If they don't play better my liver and my wallet will be hurting from all those $8 beers at TWC tonight. (well theyll be hurting anyway, but if they play bad at least I have an excuse) I think for prides sake we will play much better and probably win.

Everclear came up in the corn conversation on the Bonnell Sucks thread. No one else is going to write about a team this bad if they don't get any better. I've had 3 beers already and it's only 5:30. It's going to be one of those nights....

Maybe we can all pray that larry will move some things around and choose better matchups, maybe even try a zone D <oh the humanity>.

I've got a six pack and league pass for tonight...not quite the seats I had against the nets, and the beer's not free, but i have much quicker access to the bathroom and I can post on here all night ;)

Best Luck to the Cats...

Just for those concerned Ammo in at 0:28 1st quarter... 0-1 Missed last second 3pt attempt.

In other news, Diaw is doing wonderful and Carroll is playing as good as yesterday :).

I'll going online right now to try and meet some girl in Haiti so she can put Voodoo on micheal Redd. I haven't seen a second on the game but i don't like his boxscore already

His first points since Dec 12. He must be relieved.

I'm sure he feels better...

The thing that I find so amazing is the looks on Larry's face with every bad decision that Felton makes... Bad pass, bad choice to move inside, just a series of garbage...

Thing is, larry should try a full quarter with DJ on the 1 and Shannon on the 2.

Great to see Diaw hot from the field. DJ looking better. Hopefully the ankle is feeling better. Pretty good game from Ray and Okafor also. Just play smart ball, limit TO's, take good shots (that means you too, Ray) and this team can win this game.

Ray takes good shots...about 1/4 the time...1/4 he makes good passes, 1/4 he dumps the ball, 1/4 the time he drives the rim and cant draw a foul.

In better news DJ seems to be back near 100%.

Why do I still think everytime Matt Carroll shoots it's going in...His form is perfect how does he ever miss?

bing!
01-03-2009, 08:43 PM
His form is perfect how does he ever miss? It's all part of an elaborate optical illusion. The fact stands, Matt hasn't missed a single shot this season, but has done an amazing job at fooling everyone into thinking he had.

Diaw, a huge admirer of TOs.

spectre
01-03-2009, 08:47 PM
^ Yes, but let him keep on driving the ball. With his 7 of 9 I'll take a few TOs.

Ghost Kat
01-03-2009, 08:54 PM
That was a bad shot by DJ, But over all everyone seems to be playing better tonite. It doesn't hurt that my voodoo curse on Redd has worked so far.

TattoodCats4life
01-03-2009, 08:56 PM
Diaw gets turn overs because he is a back court player in a front court player's body trying to make it all work...and quite frankly with his FG % and the number of assists he gets inside I'll deal with a few extra TOs. He has had 2 games already with us where he was just a few possessions shy of a triple-double...and that is his threat... He moves well with the ball and moves the ball well, clearly scoring isnt an issue, and he also pulls boards, so he is probably the most likely player on the team to get a triple double.

Crash looks so much different tonight vs. last night. It was like his head wasn't in the game in Milwaukee and the 1st quarter of this game...then suddenly he got into the game.

He really works well with Diaw...it takes his chaos game and Diaw's point/forward skills to make us work.

Oh, just wanted to mention in case anone didn't see it, bobcats.com is running a great steal of the game... buy $20 or $50 tix to Tuesdays game (celtics) and get tix to another game this month free...Not a bad offer I'd say, plus no ticketmaster fees.

Well, I did not remember the headline new of Big Z being out a month for the Cavs. That will help, but we still have a pretty impossible task of slowing down King James.

Good bounce back win tonight. Are we due for one win from the next two games or what? I would love to knock off Boston but I would take a win from either one.

TattoodCats4life
01-03-2009, 11:23 PM
I'd take the loss against Boston if we could win against the Cavs...They are undefeated at home and wouldn't it be great for the "lowly cats" to mess that up.... Kinda like last year we were one of i think four or five to beat the celtics at home, but they stired us up pretty good the previous time we played them...I could have shot Ray Allen last year ;)

A surprising and fun game to watch.....at home. Wasn't feeling the love for driving down there after the bad taste in my mouth after last night, and though I would've like to've seen a live win, a win it is nonetheless!

Really glad to see DJ have a good game and look to be over his ankle...great news actually. Now if only Raja can get going....

Very upset to see Larry take Lexy out of the game late in the fourth; he didn't give up the 4 point play to Bell; hell, they didn't even pass him the ball for all the good screens he was setting for DJ. Very confusing, and quite frankly, disturbing that he was taken out and not Matt or Ammo since it was having those two out there together that brought the Bucks closer to a respectable margin.

All in all though, proud of the effort and results by the fellas, especially considering what's looming on the horizon. I know it's a hollow statement since it's not going to happen apparently, but if Raja was healthy for the Celtics and Cavs games, I'd guarantee at least one win between those two.

ohara831
01-03-2009, 11:48 PM
Beagle: It is gonna take a lot more than just Raja playing to guarantee at least 1 win in the Boston and Cleveland games. He alone would not make up the difference. It has to be a superb and complete game by ALL our starters for us to hang with those 2 teams. It can happen, but extremely unlikely.

That said, I dig your showing love to Raja like that!

I was at the game, best one ive ever see the cats play. didnt hurt that there were 2-3 technicals ( i cant remember) on the bucks and bogut was out, but a great game from diaw and g-force (sick alley off the inbound!) and solid games from ray and dj (still looks to be hurt though) and ammo scored! twice! Oh and did anyone see the scuffle between wallace, diaw, and villanueva? thats was funny as hell.

In stark contrast to the first of the two Bucks games, it looked like the Bobcats were working on the court, and not just playing basketball. Crash was putting forth a lot of effort to get to the rim, and to the line. Of course, it helped that Redd wasn't bending all the defenders over as much as the other night. Raja obviously would have helped with that, as we hopefully will on Tuesday. I actually feel that we match up well against the Celtics, especially with the two new starters that we've got. We just need to score (which has been difficult to do as recently as Friday night), but I like what we have defensively against them.

Enjoyed the game last night, though, and I was especially glad that we rebounded from the drubbing the night before.
