I've been following the Sky Force a bit and there is a standout player down there, who actually was projected to go first round last year. Gary Forbes, he's a 2/3 and has stats (albeit in D-League) similar to Wallace at 16.7p/5r/2a/1s. Now we can't pull players up if we don't have room on the roster..and there are players on our team who need time on the court, but we totally lack a 2 behind bell and a 3 behind wallace. I'd be for trading May and Ray for whatever...or even just sending Tubby somewhere for a pick...to free up a spot so we can explore our options...Nice thing too DL players are "free" for up to 3 10 day contracts before we have to sign them or not call them up again...Just my thoughts, any others?

In reference to the OP I think we have enough D League players now.
In other D League news, GSW just signed Jermareo Davidson to a 10 day contract. We originally acquired Davidson with the 2nd rounder we got from them in the Richardson trade.

I understand your feelings, but G. Forbes played (still playing) in game of Skyforce Vs ABQ and put up the following (so far)
32:59 12-17 6-11 0-1 1 4 5 4 2 1 5 1 30that is Time, Field goals, 3s, FT, OFF, DEF, TOT REB, AST, PF, ST, TO, BLK, PTS
so 30 points, shooting 12-17 and 6/11 from 3, 5 reb, 4 ast, a steal and a block... Admittedly D-league but even if you figure a 50% ratio moving to the NBA (better i'd say with larry) I cant see why we wouldnt want to bring him up for 10 days.

You know what though, Hammer once upon a time was tearing it up in the D league. These players who has a great year in the D league comes around every year, yet they don't quite often translate in the NBA. I'd rather stand pat unless a trade goes down or one of our main rotation guys goes out long term.

I was suggesting a lopsided trade leaving us a roster spot where we could audition D-League talent at no costs to the team...

Felton and Nazr for a good player. Then lets experiment with some D-Leaguers...
Or lets do it the old fashion way and go look at the CBA =p
heh id trade may for any draft pick and sign this kid or someone else...hes gotta be better than mcmay

Yup...I'd even be willing to waive may but I think he's worth at least a 2nd round pick from like OKC or something ;)
idk okc has basically a winning lottery ticket and basically a first round pick as their second, im think more like a team looking to make a playoff push needing a big man (town has to have an extra mcdonalds built tho), then package that with the hornets and nets 2nd rounders to move up?

Not bad, for 10 days he is ok. But 5 TOs is but too much.

Very true, but its hard to say much about TOs (besides that they are no good) without seeing the whole game... I mean there were lots of turnovers on other players because DJ's passes sometimes are too hot (or the player catching has holes in their hands, which is what I want to believe). But again, 10 days, is like 1-2 days practice, a 5 min game, 1-2 days practice a 10 min game, then decide if we want to keep or not (maybe one more game and set of practice).
