Diaw: 15.6 pts 7.5 reb 5.2 asts

Bell: 8.9 pts 3.4 reb 2.1 asts

Singletary: 1.3 pts 1.1 reb 0.8 asts

J-Rich: 15.8 pts 4.6 reb 2.3 asts

Dudley: 1.3 pts 1.5 reb 0 asts

When you factor in our added Defense and ball handling/passing skills, it is hard to say we did not at least break even in this trade. Many might say we came out on top.

As much as I hate that we gave up Dudley, I have no doubt we came up on top. If it's not clear enough now, it will be crystal clear when they can give Lil Sean 10+ min/game and DJ is our starting 1.

Good post, OHara. I say it was a win!

You don't have to factor anything in. Diaw himself has been better than the numbers Swish put up. THEN you factor in Bell and Singletary!

Well, I think we came out on top in the trade. But I know that some on the Board really loved J-Rich for his leadership and potential for big scoring. Did not want to step on any toes. I am sure some will still argue against the trade.

singletary is looking more and more like a steal, and i hoped diaw would play well but not this well, as long as lb is approoving the trades theyre fine by me

I am sure some will still argue against the trade. Tact is a good thing! Still, with the news you just posted about JRich and his DUI, I can't see anybody being wistful over him any longer. It's funny that all those ESPN douches that thought the trade was a homerun for PHX have backtracked and when the Bobcats ever come up they, to a man, say, "They're playing much better since the trade," and you never hear mention of PHX.

Also consider the 3 games and the rest of the NJ game he missed (when he was on his way to 30 or more points and suffocating VC) when he was just starting to find his groove here, and Raja's numbers would look much better....not to mention the extra Ws we would have.

Nice to see you didn't get ripped for posting this like you did elsewhere...

Bobcatters over at RGM is not bad at all. He just wanted me to go in depth with opinion after quoting the stats. I used a Baseball analagy and told him I was just setting the table by quoting the stats and letting himself and others be the clean up hitter and knock it out of the park with in depth discussion. He was cool with it. No harm, no foul.

I for one actually like bobcatters. His approach is rather insightful.

That being said, about the trade, I was pretty shellshocked when it was first announced. Now, even though I believe we could've negotiated a little better (they should've given us the pick, not vice versa), I'm tottaly happy now. I just hope that the NY tabloid would just stop the diaw/Bell for Curry BS. Now if we could somehow package felts, McMAY, and Ammo to GS for Marco,AR I'd be thrilled

I hate those guys at ESPN.

Anyways, I've been happy with the trade, and I honestly wonder where we'd be if we had made the trade sooner. Perhaps we would be in contention for the playoffs right now, but who knows. I guess there's no use in playing the "if" game. Lord knows we do enough of that in the draft threads, but it's at least interesting to consider.

More importantly Diaw has made the frontcourt altogether better

G-Forces numbers in the 10 games he and Diaw have both played
Pts- 20.9
Reb- 8

OK50's
Pts- 18.1
Reb- 12.6

Not only is Diaw playing great but hes making our frontcourt players better!

playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

Definitely, the trade has helped out our frontcourt big time. It's nice to see that people are starting to take notice of it (see link below). It's also nice to see that we are coming off as the "winners" of this trade, despite the national criticism by the media.
