I did the same thing for each prospect the last few years (dedicated a thread to each of them) and it seemed to work pretty well. Thought I would do it again this year.

I've seen Monroe about 6 times and the more I see him the more I like him. He has an old head on his shoulders and takes his time, rarely rushing things. Can play the low post or the high post equally as well as he has shown some nice spin and post moves and also some handles and great passing for a big. A great athlete who doesn't seem to get tired and can beat most guards up and down the court.

Would be better if he could rebound a little better as he doesn't really seem to go after it. Does show a good 2nd and 3rd effort, but isn't explosive at all.

Reminds me a little of LMA.

Seems more like a non-injured Webber than anything else to me. I'd love him if he was a couple inches taller

Lets bring this thread back!

maybe if we can trade for a mid to lower first round pick (like in the late teens-mid twenties) he could be a productive Power Forward for us.

Are you out of your head? Mid to lower 1st?

The kid is a top 5 pick.

You're right. Slam is crazy to think he's a top 5 pick.

He's a top THREE pick;)

I didnt say that, i was just judging from what i have seen of him, and i was not that impressed. Maybe i am a poor judge in talent, but he just seems like he would be worth a mid first round pick. I am not asking you to change your views, but i guess i need to watch him more, because their is obviously something i am missing if he is really that good...

Well it has to do with him being good as much as this being a weak draft so you have to look at it that way too

Draft class smafsht class. He's a top 5 pick in 99% of drafts.

Size, smarts, motor, youth, upside.

Top 5 baby!

Rose, Beasley, Mayo, Westbrook, Love. Monroe wouldn't be in front of any of them last year

But I won't argue with you on his skills. You have to admit this is a weak draft though:p

I'd take him over Love. Better size, motor and build.

I'm not sure if this is that weak a draft. I actually think it's a really, really deep draft. The only thing it might be missing is super stars, but I think there is a lot of 1st round depth.

I do think that Monroe is the 2nd best PF in the class - and the best PF is pretty much a lock to go 1st over all.

You're right about that one. This draft lacks major team building blocks aside from Griffin and perhaps Rubio and Harden. But there is a lot of guys in the B-C range where they can be solid rotation to starter players. This is a good draft to trade high picks for a good player and a lower pick
