I'm starting a club devoted to getting more minutes to Shannon Brown.
whos with me.
im here...ever since the 20 pt night ive been impressed...kid plays hard
Been saying it for months.
Him and Twiggy belong to the 70/30 club. 70% of what they do is great, but 30% is horrible.................and I mean, take a gun out and shoot them in the head terrible.
If they both could just make it 90/10, they would be sensational bench/role players.
I LOVE the energy they both bring though.
** please note: I have been a vocal supporter of Twiggy since he started playing with us though so I "might" be biased!!

I'd like to see Shannon start if DJ and Bell are out...not Hammer he's not starting material...
I'd LOVE to see twiggy play 10 min EVERY game... I wish they'd just let you have all 15 players in.
I'm starting to feel more and more that Lexy needs to go to the Skyforce, larry kicking and screaming or not. And speaking of that, a bit off topic here on this thread, but is Ammo classified as a Soph due to being out all year with injury last year, I mean Oden is considered a Rook this year due to his injury and if so, we should send him down for 2 weeks to see what he's made of when he can get minutes (he should pull 20-30 points per game down there as the competition is so stiff :))

I'm with ya. I've been wondering why he hasn't got more mins all year. It seems almost every time he comes in he's effective.

Dude, I'm with you on that. I remember his last year that he was at MSU and I was thinking that he would be in the Slam Dunk Contest soon, am i am sad that he hasn't been in it yet. I liked him more than I like Mo Ager and Paul Davis on MSU, and I was ECSTATIC when Charlotte signed him in the offseason. I might be a little biased because I live in Michigan and I'm a huge Michigan Stae fan...
Count me in the club.

No May, no. No that guy.

With all due respect, I can't understand that at all. What has Weaver done? Brown has shown he can be a consistent bench contributor at the very least. Has Weaver even showed he will have a job in a year or 2? He is only getting a few minutes a game on one of the worst teams in the league. I never have really understood the infactuation with Weaver.
As far as this thread name goes, count me in. I certainly feel like Brown can be a 8-10 guy in the rotation that can get hot and really help us win. His athleticism is great and he has 3 point range on his shot. That 3pointer he hit against Washington late in the game was huge. I am definitely on the Shannon Brown bandwagon.

Kyle Weaver just showed really nice humble personality and was easy to root for. I liked the pick, I was dissapointed after the trade but Shannon proved he can play, so I moved on. Still wishing Weaver success in OKC or elsewhere.
Edit: Typos.

Sign me up for this club ASAP. I love the way shannon plays, and he is legitimately good and he makes an impact when he plays. Plus, he had a top play on Sportcenter and you gotta love that.

and he makes an impact when he plays. .
this is really the reason i started this thread.
He comes in and has an impact on every game. Sometimes its a turnover because hes trying to hard or a missed shot. More often than not though, he injects energy and effort and a nice scoring punch. But too many times have i sat through Adam Morrison and Matt Carroll coming into games or starting and completely disappearing. Thats why i think he needs more burn...because other players aren't producing with the burn they get.

Well at least we can hope that DJ out will give Larry 25 more min to work with, if he can make Lil Sean have 10 instead of his 5 and give Shannon the other 20 we'd probably do just fine...

Other than his dunking (still just 2 points), what exactly does he bring this team?

Another DNP-CD for Shannon and Hollins is still inactive. ILBIT for sure, but WOW...I thought I remember him saying "Your contact does not dictate your minutes" in the preseason. If that is the case Hollins should play and Nazr should cuddle up next to May.
playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

he can drive the ball in to the basket , at least as good as GW and he brings size to the SG position, he also brings energy

Shannon Brown (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/bobcats/story/482024.html)
Shooting guard
Potential shift: Brown is the closest thing to Michael Jordan's pet project. Trading Carroll could open the playing time to discover whether Jordan's hunch was right.
Shannon Brown is an exceptional athlete – strong and explosive in a way no other shooting guard on this roster can function. But he's not much of a basketball player and he tends to play too fast, leading to frantic mistakes.
Jordan suggested this season that Brown just needs patience and nurturing. Let's see. He's a far better defender than Morrison, so the minutes distribution essentially becomes an either/or between Morrison's size and scoring potential and Brown's athleticism.
S Brown was a Jordan choice...didn't know that.
BTW, I disagree with Bonnell that it's between Brown & Ammo; Brown has handles and can defend...Ammo is NOT a SG (flashing back to Bernie's "there is no SGs or SFs...only wings!").

Am totally on board with getting Shannon Brown minutes. I have been quite impressed with his ball handling and his underpressure shooting i.e. wizards game 3 point shot with like no time left on the clock. He is a very athletic player too with his alley-oop dunks he makes.
