But i think this is a bunch of hot garbage. Let me explain.

Hot- People wont shut up and media is getting a little carried away before anything is proven (if they werent we wouldnt be discussing this right now)

Garbage- If Eddy Curry is really a gay guy who hired a limo driver just so he could expose himself and degrade said limo driver, he is insane. However from what pre/post game interviews i have seen of him, and what i have read about him, he is not that type of person.

Think about it, this guy has millions and isnt even playing basketball anymore (or at least not good at it), why would he live a lie. He has no need to hide anything. If Eddy was really like this he would be buisy hanging out in the 'alternative lifestyle' parts of New York City with Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley.

Coming out in professional sports has to be one of the hardest things a person can do. Most of the participants in sports are straight and would feel a certain amount of uneasiness about playing with someone who may get aroused by them. Some past athletes have said how alienated they became once they came out. I am not one to descrimenate a person but if I was in a locker room naked with a Gay guy I would for sure feel uncomfortable. I am straight and after a game with sweaty guys I don't like the idea of being appealing to some Gay teammate. I know people say that a Gay athlete can seperate from things like sexual attraction but if a sexy chick with a nice body was taking a shower next to me I would find that person arousing. Why would I think that some dude who likes dudes would not be very much like me? If you had a hot chick in the showers with you and you did not become arroused you are either Gay, impotent or have no pulse.

As far as Curry is concerned the story sounds a bit manufactured and I doubt any of it is true. Especially when you take this chauffers past. I guess a trial will weed out the truth.

All joking aside, homosexuality is a touchy topic in professional sports. (wow no pun intended) It's still considered extremely taboo in regular life and it's magnified just like everything else in the limelight. I remember this past year, or the year before, Tim Hardaway got into some trouble for some homophobic remarks.

The situation was blown extremely out of proportion, of course, and is a good example of why homosexuality won't be accepted in pro sports for a long time
