Putting out feelers to see if there would be interest in a Bobcats podcast. I've spoken with Ziggy about it, but we want to make sure there's some public demand. Feel free to post if you'd like to participate, ideas, or just if you'd be a fan.

nice play on words there.
hey guys i know it would be hard to listen to but look up celticsstuff live or w/e it is on itunes and listen to that...thatd be cool in a bobcats form
this is probably a little lofty, but does anyone have any insiders in the organization? this way the podcast isn't pure speculation when the topics are trades and draft. either way i would definitely check it out.

Its like a downloadable radio show thats hosted on the net. There are some truly fantastic podcasts out there.
A few of my favorites are
The Indiefeed Hip-Hop Podcast (http://blindingflashes.blogs.com/indiefeed_hiphop_rap/) to feed my hip-hop needs
Slice of Scifi (http://www.sliceofscifi.com/category/shows/) for my geek needs
Phedippidations (http://steverunner.libsyn.com/) to inspire me to get my fat ass off the "couch of doom" and exercise.
If you want to find some other good ones, try podcastalley.com or podcastpickle.com
Has anyone here done any radio / podcasting type of work? Who do we have that may be interested in being one of the voices in front of the microphone?

Yes in fact that was a joke, I just do not own an MP3 player or any kind of music player outside of a computer and car radio. I worked at the radio station in college WGWG baby. 5-9 on thursdays!!! It was light duty to say the least. I'd do it but I don't know if i'd have much to say other than what i say on the blogs and they're becoming farther apart with little actual info coming my way.

I have absolutely no experience with the stuff (took Theatre arts I and II in high school though ;)), but I'd get a kick being a co-host for the program, as long as we aren't taking ourselves too seriously. My problem is like teej, at 75 miles away from Charlotte, not sure how I could do this.....teleconference?
one thing we oughta rmember is everything starts small, so it doesnt have to be big
but how would we afford the equipment? because i dont know about you guys but i cant afford squat...and im tryin to buya car with the less-than-squat i do have...perhaps an idea s seek out a corporate sponsor or two...and maybe have one host and call-ins for both fans and those in higher places that would be taped and edited in? idk just puttin stuff out there.

I think an easy way to start, and a basic way as well, would be to ha e two people discuss each game, quarter-by-quarter. Then filter in outside news (trades, etc.) as that stuff presents itself. I have no idea what equipment is like, financially, though.
Beagle, I think you'd make a great PodCat. You and Amp could go on and on about which philosophers would be pro-Felton and which would be anti-Felton (or the ones that would at least deny that the thing that is "Felton" actually exists). I know I'd listen. I'd also definitely offer whatever services I could in whatever free time I have.
There's gotta be a way for this to happen though. If college kids can blog and create their own podcasts, surely someone here can get something started.

One thing you can do is check out cat crave radio http://catcrave.com/ The Panthers podcast....
and maybe you can talk to them and see what all they had to do to get their show going....They are pretty good with interviews and extras....

Just record a 30 minute audio file with a desktop microphone.
It doesn't cost hardly anything to make a podcast.

I have the means to record two people at the moment. Ideally, I'd like to start small and please keep posting podcasts that people listen to so I can get better get an idea what we want to aim for. My hope is that if we get the ball rolling, we can invite guests or get some taped interviews with some people within the organization.

We plan on having a Bobcats Talk Show starting in a few weeks that comes on before each game. I might be doing it solo, but what I am using has the capability for people to call in.
Link will be up soon in my signature if you'd like to give it a listen.
sounds nice daniel
maybe we could get michael thompson to hook us up with some of the players after games for interviews? or maybe MJ? or something?
playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

you might as well try to get a press pass while you are it, i think the only commitment is that you have to go to 90-95% of all the games
hell if it meant a press pass id go to every1 i could
unless they mean away games too...
