That was funny as hell, i just can't see it flying more than once without the player barking getting T'd up for it (seems pissing off a ref = T).

We sort of did once this season. I think it was againt the Wolves. We had a baseline inbound and Swish cut through the key towards the Bobcaat inbounding the ball but he tripped over his own feet and ended up sprawled out on the ground.

Everyone was looking at him on the ground, which left EO50 open under the rim, who had the ball passed to him for the easy layup.

I remember commenting at the time that we had run the old distraction play to get EO50 involved in the offense!

I'm sure the barking kids parents are very proud.

They will be when he goes high enough in the draft to pay off their house...

I bet the bobcats will take him with like the 3rd pick in the draft simply based on his barking popularity

There my friend you are incorrect... We'd give him Meka's contract with player trade refusal and whatever other bonuses we can give in there.

At my old school we did this similar thing where we all pulled out fireworks and switchblades.

Of course, that was back in the day when you could pull a switchblade on a guy and he didn't try to run and throw chairs at you.

May be that would be a right play for ... Sean May. He wouldn't need to shout in pain for distraction necessarily, the fall will do it all. Are you ready to rumble???

If he pulled a fall like that the organization would be out so much money replacing drinks and paying for clean up of the mini-earthquake. That and replacing the court, because I don't think we could play on a cracked court.

From Wikipedia

A scary moment occurred during the 2006 Big East Tournament when Ray was poked in the eye by Carl Krauser (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Krauser) during the semifinal game. His vision apparently left him for a period of time and his eyeball had seemed to come loose from the socket, leading most to believe it was an extremely serious injury. However, his vision returned and it turned out to be only soft tissue damage. He was able to play less than a week later in the NCAA tournament, without goggles. In his first game back, he led Villanova in scoring. While on the video it appeared as though his eye came loose from the socket, his eyelid actually went behind his eye giving off the impression of his eye coming loose.

^ eyelid or not, I still wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of the eye poke steal attempt.

Maybe in a couple of years it will become a legitimate move in basketball, no protective eyegear allowed, mwahahahaha.
