I was a bit surprised no one has made this thread yet.
Thank you Matt, for all that you've given us for our first 5 years in this league.
We will miss the hammer.
BTW, what's going to happen to the Hammer of the game award at Real GM? Is it gonna change?

Yeah, here's to Matt! He was a guy who has a job because he worked hard and can shoot the rock. He was a great spokesman for the team and a fun guy to work for.
Last year, we won a tough game with a nice comeback. After he made a shot, he came over to the bench and saw me pump my fist while looking at him. He looked right back at me and pumped his fist. It was pretty cool.
We'll miss you, Matt.
I will definately miss him, He is a great example of a true TEAM player and a guy who works his ass off to earn a paycheck

He was recognized at last year's Our Hero gala and deservedly so. Much love to Matt for all his work in the community.

As I've said before, Matt was a big part of the moral backbone of the team...He will be missed, more by some than others, but I can tell you the kids whose lives he touched will miss him dearly...
:cheers1: To matt...Best wishes in the west..

Yes he will be missed. He is the kind of guy that makes a team better even when he isn't playing. He is a class act and that kind of guy is great in the locker room. Actually it seems the Bobcats roster is full of class act guys. For that reason as well as others I would love to see these Bobcats succeed. Anyway, Matt will be a player we all will root for while he plays in another uniform. JRich has been MIA in Phoenix but I root for him and hope he is able to contibute more as the season progresses.
I wish Matt was playing like he did two years ago under Bernie Bickerstaff. We would have gotten a bit more in a trade involving him or he would have not have been expendable.

My favorite guy is going. I'm sad, but this was inevitable, that's why I feel less bitter.
Thank you Matt for being the arguably best call-up from D-League ever.

Yeah I'll miss Carroll, I don't think we got good value for him with Diop. I will miss his potential scoring.

Hammer time.
Talk about the rush of memories that line brings back!
Hammer was pure blue collar and that's why we loved him. As a white guy playing wing he had a major uphill battle to climb in order to fit in this league...but his drive and determination paid off, impressed MJ and got him a contract that should set him up for life.
My son got his autograph at the Miami preseason game in Greensboro. It was crowded and he got by us...but I yelled "Hey Hammer, sign my son's pennant!". He looked back over his shoulder with that shit eating grin, walked back and said he'd love to.
Total class act. I'll miss both him and Twiggy.
