WCNC Sports Director Greg Bailey sat down with Bobcats forward Sean May recently and discussed May's situation and the way that the fans perceive him.

For the first time, we heard May's side about his comeback from microfracture surgery.

He's pathetic.

bing!

I hate the 'Sean May's instead of 'I's. He'll never recuperate, that much is clear.

If that wasn't on a "real" news website I would have taken it with a grain of salt as a joke... but damn is he that diluted? "I only have 8 or 9 pounds to go" He had 10 to go a week and a half ago... As I keep referencing to Biggest Loser, those ppl lose 1-2 pounds per day, and I couldn't imagine they work much harder than he is, unless he's being lazy. He has a nutrition professional, and several top grade trainers, I mean we're not talking about the guys who dropped out of college and went to work at Planet Fitness here, we're talking PROFESSIONAL college trained, NBA experienced trainers. WTF is his deal...I bet he doesn't make 260 until April...

Nothing is wrong with planet fitness, for regular ppl, but if you made millions per year as a professional athlete you wouldn't bother having one of their trainers even talk to you... Our trainers don't make $15/hr, they make several times that I'm sure...and they are committed to our players like few others because its their "handiwork" out there on the court, and if a player isn't trained, built etc, they are much more likely to be injured as well...

I transcribed it word for word as closely as I could. WCNC didn't have video of it on their site yet, but I wanted to write it up and put it on the site so that people could read what he said -- mainly because we have so many fans that live out of the Charlotte market.

If "8 or 9 pounds" are holding you back from playing on the court and could cost you MILLIONS, then you have bigger problems upstairs than you do health-wise.

Exactly! Well said.

Agreed. You can cut 8 or 9 in a matter or days/weeks.

That is the pissiest excuse I have ever read in my life.

My mommy said I should play basketball...and that I'd go pro..I made it, so Mommy is right, your all wrong... :)

I think his mommy should have told him to be a defensive line backer, he's better at eating than most of them.

With his weight basketball is definitely not his sport. He doesn't seem to have the willpower to even lose the weight. Unfortunately for us it's our problem cuz we drafted his stupid worthless u know what and now we are stuck with him. Hopefully we can figure out a trade to get him out of here before the deadline.

Well if a dozen eggs, 2 bagels and a pound of bacon for breakfast, a 10 big macs and 3 large fries for lunch and a 16 oz steak with 2 lobster tails with all the trimmings for dinner is too much ;)

Man, I haven't said anything, but I've never been impressed with May's fat a**. He's been a prick by most accounts that I've heard and I came in contact with him a few times at UNC's campus and he seems to be preoccupied with the things that come with being a basketball player rather than being a ball player.

I was also told that after we drafted him (by a good friend who was an athlete at UNC as well) that he was a joke. Other athletes at UNC looked at him like he was joke. Some of it had to do with the girl he dated and his attitude... He seemed to have a sense of entitlement early on and just sat on his pedigree rather than work for something himself. He doesn't care and I'm tired of hearing about him, cut his fat ass and let's wait for him to be on the next (semi)Celebrity Fit Club, only to be the guy that cheats on his diet and can't understand why he isn't losing the weight. Give me his roster spot.

He has about 3 months left and he will be out of the league. For his sake, I hope he managed the money from his rookie contract well.

I SERIOUSLY doubt it. I bet most of the money's been used already, he wants to live the life but ain't got anything inside him to even try hard. It's a shame, really. Most of his money was literally flushed down the drain, cuz he ate so damn much...

I wouldn't be surprised if Sean May washes out that within 2-3 years he'll have to start selling cars and other things because he's out of money.

Maybe if we just ignore him, he'll go away?

I'm not even sure it's worth our time to even make comments about Sean May. The simple fact that since summer league it's been about 6 monthes. He wasn't in shape then, can't expect him to be ready at any point during this season if he's not ready by now. Since there supposely nothing wrong with his knee then the only thing left is he is just to fat and out of shape. There are people in the NBA that weight more then him and they can run there fat ass up and down the court why cant he?

I am profoundly ashamed of Sean May, i truely hope the FO just cuts him.. no more chances, no more NBA welfare, send him where you sent the Fine Ham Biscuit eating loser from last year.>:(

Sean might have a speck of value left in the NBA...and that is as an expiring contract. A team may trade Him + enough cash to cover the rest of this year's salary for a pick or a player with a longer contract they might not be happy with. At least that way we get some value out of him more than the what 50 something games he's played in 4 seasons?

U know what that really means... It means Ryan Hollins had more trade value then Sean May. I know Hollins had a very low contract, But no one even wants him to sit on there bench. That means Howard who is like 78 yrs old, has more value to this team. I don't disagree with you one bit, bout trying to package him plus 1, but I'm sure we've been trying to do tht behind the scenes. No one wants May, only strippers and the waffle house.

Goes together like Waffles and Cocaine......Thank you Talladaga Nights

Kat, you were right the first time. Sean's not even worth our discussion. (I shouldn't even be typing this now. What a hypocrit I am!) At the end of the season, he will simply not be resigned. He will be a couple million off our books, and that will be the best thing he's done for this franchise.

Done and done.
