Today at work is moving incredibly slow and if I don't have some entertainment I will most certainly perish... So to make the day more fun, lets hear your story on the most intoxicated that you have ever been.

I'll share mine after a few posts.

I once drank 2.5 liters of red wine at a Super Bowl Party.

Needless to say, the next morning... er, afternoon was not pleasant.

Very nice

Was it cheap wine, or the good stuff?

I was once so intoxicated on Miller Chill mixed with red wine that I don't remember the drive home (hubby drove btw)..the next day was Easter and when I woke up I was still drunk, had to deal with Easter dinner with the family and the whole day I wore sunglasses in the house and during dinner cuz I couldn't stand the sunlight..my niece asked "why is aunt jenny so sick" and my brother had to answer "cuz she did something stupid" lol..it was an interesting Easter to say the least....

Another instance:

The day before I was to officially turn in my Master's Thesis, my adviser recommended I go out to the bar that night and get drunk in celebration.

She perhaps did not account for the extent to which I get down.

I did not account for the 10am meeting we had scheduled the next day. Everyone in the office was mentioning how ill I looked.

Well, barely. It's my wine of choice, though, so that's almost certainly what was in the bottle.

Here is my story.

Back in college ( trying to be a badass ) I polished off most of a fifth of 151 proof Bacardi.

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb122/yesi916_2007/bacardi.jpg

For those that aren't familiar with this death-liquid, on the label it clearly states "Do not drink straight, use only as a mixer". Did that stop me? Oh Hell no. To make matters worse, I have a weird metabolism that won't let me "sleep it off". Regardless of what I drink or how late I stay up, I always wake up at 6:00am or earlier.

So that night ( like a dumbass ) I polished off almost the entire fifth, guzzling portions of it straight from the bottle. Sometime during that night for the only time in my life I blacked out and lost about 5 hours. I wake up at 6:00am the next day still completely drunk and remained buzzed until deep into the next afternoon.

It wasn't a pleasant experience.

Wow. 151? That's nuts.

Kids, let this serve as a warning, Learn To Handle Your Liquor! (i.e. - don't go overboard)

Now that I've taken care of my conscience, let me see what other stories I can think of...

After my college years, its a miracle that I still have a functioning liver.

hmm, let me ponder this...

... 'twas the new year's eve of 2001, I was 15 at the time, couple of my friends and I decided to wait for midnight at the main square and then continue gallivanting till early in the morning.

It should be noted that before that night I had never tasted anything stronger than beer (yes, minors are allowed to buy and consume liquor in the Balkans). Still, one of the aforementioned friends decides to snag a bottle of rakia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakija) (I'm not sure you have this drink in the States) from his father's 'cough medicine' cabinet, and I, the springy and eager young twerp, decide to step up and be the first one to take a guzzle. It tasted, I don't know, I'll go with a line from Ralph Wiggum "It tastes like burning", but, it was drinkable and the night was just starting to 'warm up'. Some 40 minutes later, I find myself laughing uncontrolably, my limbs going numb and the world around me spinning, then there was some vomiting in the public, vomiting in a trash bin, vomiting in a Burger place of some sort, gorging on some lemon tea (a fine, get-sober-instant idea by the chubbiest of my pals, some more regurgitating, falling down some stairs (a loooong stairway), bumping into some people and, finally, awakening in my bed the next morning (two of my friends brought me home knocked out, suffice it to say, the folks weren't happy).

Ever since that night I have been staying away from stronger beverages, though the temptation still lingers. My tummy craves alcohol, I can't help it.

Do you have absinthe over there? I've always been curious to try it. Is it really as crazy as they say?

When I was in London I talked to some locals who said it was crazy. They said it would make you hallucinate and that it would knock you out and wake you up at the same time. Sounded a little too wild for me to try but hey, what do I know?

yup

I've always been curious to try it.
don't

I've tried it once only, couple of hours before we were to set out for Spain as part of our high school senior trip. It was a 'milder' version, though it still contained over 60% abv, if I remember correctly. We consumed it only one cap-full at a time, it's sweet, minty and it gets to your head QUICKLY. 10 minuted into the trip, I dozed off, fun times.

I would come back with the hackneyed "Ha, I was only 7!" response, but instead I'll give this story:

I worked with an officer who asked me one day if I went to UNCC. I said I did, for grad school. And he says, "I went there too, I'm wondering if we were there at the same time...let's see, I graduated in 1996..." and I said, "Oh I graduated in '96 too....from 8th grade" lol

Guys, be thankful that you missed on on the 1980's, there were some truly frightening things in that decade.

Back when I lived in a house rather than an apt we used to throw parties and of course you had to piss outside most of the time. one time i guess i was so drunk i thought i was inside and i grabbed a branch and pulled like i was flushing. that wasnt so funny except for every time i pissed on that bush again i'd laugh and laugh and the smokers could think i was nuts.

Damn Ziggy mine and your stories sound about the same at least involving the 151.

I was at a party and I've been knowns to get down with the 151 before. Lit myself on fire once. LOL Shhhhh.

Anyway we were playing some kind of drinking game where there is a very large size wine glass in the middle of the table and it was getting filled up with 151. Sorry if I don't remember all the details haha but during the game everyone would also have to take shots or sips from their mike's hard lemonade shit during it for other various reasons. I was taking shots though and had taken about 4 shots of 151 and 5 of vodka. Well eventually some other guy lost the game but he chickened out and wouldn't drink the big full glass of 151 so I volunteered and I chugged it right there in one big swallow.

Needless to say I was acting crazy afterwards and everyone was calling me spiderman cause I was climbing trees and jumping off of balconies. So after my acrobatics display and my friends stopping me from possibly hurting myself they drove me home and when we got there one of them was wanting to watch some youtube video of Dane Cook. Well all I wanted to see was this benny benassi video which we had been talking about that night http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fJZ6DwmBXU and I started talking shit to him about his stupid obsession with Dane Cook and he got mad and left. Anyway after we checked out the video I was really sleepy so I go lay down and was out cold or so I thought.

The next morning when I woke up I go to the restroom and find a bottle of pine sol on the floor empty and my bathtub sparkly on the bottom. I then vaguely remember taking a shower that night and that I might have shat myself which would possibly explain the pine sol. At least I was in the shower and naked. I've never told anyone that last part but being as this is the internet and I don't really know any of you I don't really care. :D

Anyway, as for the next day. It was not fun and much as you said zig I was still feeling it early in the evening.

That's awesome Chabber .
One thing that I've learned about the 151 is that is to be feared and respected. Those that take it lightly usually wind up with horror stories like ours.

I'm currently a junior in college so I could fill this thread up pretty quickly. I'll try to think of the most legendary night I've had and I'll get back to you guys.
