Okay we all know when the trade deadline is, that's pretty clear and easy to work with... I'm wondering does anyone know when the deadline is for signing FA players to have them available for the playoffs. Now that we're playing so much better and everything, I think that is the more important deadline seeing as we have an open roster spot.

I'm beginning to doubt we're going to make any more trades, unless someone wants Nazr or May or Ammo without touching our core, which except for May's value as expiring I doubt we'll see.

The above said, wouldn't it stand to reason for us to sign another veteran FA who can help us motivate off the bench the way Juwan does? I'd say if we do this we should pick someone not to play a position (ie We don't have a need at any one particular spot, although a 2 wouldn't hurt us) but rather to help motivate and "show them how it's done" even more...

The other option is D-league, but I think we've got enough young talent, unless there is someone down there who should have been picked, but got missed or something...

Anyone else's thoughts, feelings etc?

Given that LB has been talking about developing our talent from within, it makes it sound like we may be done trading. But with the open roster spot still unfilled, it leads me to think they might have something cooking trade-wise which will fill the spot. If they did not, why not get someone in from the FA pool or D-League? Why just leave it open if you are not trading to fill it? Confusing. Given our need for scoring off the bench, cant they take a 10 day Contract out on a SG from D-League to see if he can help? I am unsure of what the FO is doing, but then again, I've been saying that for a few years so why should that surprise me.

playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

they're keeping it open as insurance for DJ, i think. until DJ shows he can come back, they will keep the spot open. i wouldn't be surprised if we are done trading. LB has gotten what he asked for - three PGs, and four veteran bigs. they may not be the best bigs, but they are still the bodies he wanted. you have to factor in sean may returning at some point in the season.

+1 funny as hell...

I am actually looking forward to sean may getting to try one last time... He did play okay against OKC (yeah OKC but still a dub-dub is what it is)... His run is significantly faster than it was, but he wont be keeping up with DJ any time soon (then again no one does except shannon and Ajinca)
