or you could say the only reason they were even close is because we lost Gerald in the first half.
we do need to finish gamesbetter though.
Nah, Kobe was unconscious, he was going to carry that team regardless. We were fortunate to escape with this one

We need to remember the only reason we pulled this out is because Kobe fouled out
We need to close in Regulation moving forward, we are going to be beat up going into tomorrow night unecessarily
The only reason the Lakers got back into the game was because they put GW out of the game with that flagerant foul so thats bunk about Kobe...

Very impressed that they pulled off this WIN, after missing those free throws and getting ourselves down in the 1st OT!
Go Bobcats!
Dang, I wish that Portland game wasn't tomorrow!

Well he said it would be a dissapointment not to make the playoffs and the Kobe fell for Shannon on the foul out...shrugged his shoulders a lot too...lol

I apologize to all Bobcat fans, I thought the light at the end of the tunnel was a train at the end of regulation. I truly apologize.
Hey man good job of owning up after a hasty post. Don't stop believing!

True, but this is the test. If we can go out and win that game I'm ready to call this team playoff bound. After this 2OT thriller, if we can go out and beat the Trailblazers I will truly be impressed. Not an easy task at all.

The only reason the Lakers got back into the game was because they put GW out of the game with that flagerant foul so thats bunk about Kobe... +1, dav!!! That cocksucker Bynum shouldn't've been allowed to go back out there and play after that horseshit foul on GW. Fuck him the fucking pussy!!!! If I'm Larry, I send Juwan out there to take his legs out from him on a slam attempt or something...I want revenge for that horseshit foul. You're right, though, dav, a regular hard foul on GW and we win in regulation....no doubt.
Now, pottymouth rant out of the way:
What balls this team has. To come back from 6 down in OT with ALL momentum going Kobe and Co.'s way, me having given up on them, the Hollywood scene in a lather about another home win, to work their way back with clutch shooting, brilliant decision making, REBOUNDING!!!! Wow.
Total team effort which is what has become a hallmark of our Cats. Still, Raymond was phenomenal and massive kudos to Shannon for nobly filling in for GW and just bringing lots of nasty. Take that Lakers bitches!
Frayed nerves...emotionally drained...but goddamm it....I LOVE MY CATS!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!:cheers1:
Lakers TV says GW might have a collapsed lung
hes at the hospital
So.... on the lakers broadcast they got "unofficial" word that Gerald was at the hospital with a collapsed lung. This does not sound good.

Lakers TV says GW might have a collapsed lung
hes at the hospital Shit. I knew it wasn't good when Stephanie said they had the stretcher waiting for him in back to take him to the hospital, but collapsed lung? Fuck. I swear, I want a fucking hit taken out on that cocksucker Bynum. Motherfucking goon bitch shouldn't play another game til GW gets to. The league office better fine his ass something good that's for sure. That shit was so wrong. What the fuck else does Gerald have to go through this year? What a buzzkill....

Man that hurts, I would take a loss and a healthy Crash in a secondThat was my initial thought too just after I see Gerald in pain on the floor. I just hope Bynum will be punished and won't play several games to ease my anger a bit. Bynum is just a dirty fuck. And you all know I never use rude words.

Im worried >.<
My mom once had a collapsed lung and she couldnt do much for months.
BobcatsAllDay
01-28-2009, 02:05 AM
I don't think Bynum is a dirty player but the foul was so unnecessary. He could have grabbed Crash instead of the blind forearm to the chest. There is a skill to fouling hard (see Juwan Howard).
Read online recovery time for a collapsed lung (worst case for GW) is about 1-2 weeks...but maybe longer for a hustle guy in the NBA??

My sis had a fourwheeler fall on top of her and it collapsed a lung as well. I don't think it took too long for her to get on her feet. But shit! What a horrible injury, how many collapsed lungs happen in the NBA each year? But Cats won so I'm still pretty happy. All the best to Gerald!

First X-rays were negative - they will do second to be sure. So hopefully no broken ribs.

If he plays on the rest of the road trip with any effectiveness, even without a fracture or lung issue, he is a total team player, leave no doubt and whoever trades him is to be castrated

The whole Wallace injury is just so disheartening....:(

The Wallace injury is unfortunate for sure. He is one tough son of a gun, so you know he will be back as soon as he can. I kind of wish that hard foul was on Raymond Felton... because if he got hit like that, they would just do CPR, restart his heart, tape his chest up and he would come back and play hard as ever.
But to get us back on the bright side of life... we just beat the Lakers at home in 2OT. I mean we were down and out and the crowd was hyped, and then we compose ourselves and come back and win the bitch. Thats what good basketball teams can do right there folks. I can't state it strongly enough how hard what we just did was. GO CATS!

A coach "trade" wouldn't be too bad.. ;) Triangle offense with Larry's proven defense and I don't think ANYONE would have a chance.

I seriously agree. The crowd is what loses road games for the away team, they don't here "Lets Go Cats..." they here "Lets go Lakers" and it psychs teams out, and im sure seeing bigger stars than themselves with "feet on wood" is kinda a daunting thing too, maybe even distracting... For us to be down, have their crowd totally enthralled in a lakers potential victory and have our best BEST player go down and still pull out the win speaks volumes to our potential in the NBA.
We are now 7.5 games out of 4th seed... (I'm not looking at all those bottom feeding seeds, I think we've got what it takes and hopefully I'll be right).
