Veterans to pick up on 10-day?

I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on who/what we should pick up on a 10-day if we don't end up using the open roster spot in a trade?

One thing that struck me is Steve Francis was just waived by the Grizzlies, and from what i understand a "bought out" player comes in at league minimum, so its not expensive at all to try him out for 10 days (probably 8 days practice and 1 game). He appears to be injury prone (just looking at the number of games played each season) or maybe he's just down the bench from too much talent I'm not sure.

As I've been saying, I think we need an "under-rated" "ex-all star" which is RARE, but this guy seems to fit the bill, 9 years in the league, 3 time all star, nearly "worthless" in the league.

Anyone got anything better?

I would love to see Francis, at the worst he could provide veteran experience for sean, dj, and shannon...and give a few style pointers...

He is a combo guard, so he could spell Raja better than Brown...and hes better than Sean

I would like to see what Robert Horry has left in the tank. San Antonio let him go because he was too old, which is understandable for their team and situation. But I still think he has some left in the tank. The question is does he want to play for us?

While I think you're on the right track, I think we need a SF or SG for right now... Maybe MJ will sign on a 10 day? :)

I have to admit, I never would've come up with Steve Francis. My initial reaction is he's not a LB guy, but you never know. When he was traded to Memphis, it was my understanding that they wanted him to play, but it never materialized. I haven't found a specific reason, but if he can't get on the court with the Grizz it has to give you pause (isn't it nice to be able to say that about other teams).

In the following article, it says that Martin and another player were cut from their teams last year because of cannabis (or marijuana) usage. It also claims that they were banned by WADA (Anti-doping agency) for two years. But apparently he's playing now, eh?

The game is clearly in Ammo's head....He can shoot, but after a miss he is very hesitant to shoot again unless he's fully wide open....Last night he had a shot 5 feet from the rim and he passed out resulting in a TO...he should have taken it..

He has definitely lost his confidence as of late and it is very sad to see :( in the beginning of the season he was knocking down 3's and now it's like "no no, pass the ball" is going on in his head. We need that dude from "The Waterboy" chanting to him from the sideline "YOU CAN DO IT!!!".

I think we need to see how Cariter Martin turns out, Larry hand picked him (he's former KU player and a good one at that). I don't think he'll start but he can give diaw some rest or let diaw move up to 4 and let mek or diop rest. All of this just in time to visit denver with Carmelo back :(
