Travis Outlaw should be an option. Sac and Portland are in discussions about Salmons so why don't we move in as a third party and get maybe Douby and Outlaw out of the deal. Sac wants expirings so maybe if we could offer up Morrison or May and someone else for something like this

Possibly a good idea but we would have to give up more than just may and morrison to get all of that ^ back

I would love to get Outlaw...I've been on his bandwagon for a while and think he would be a good scoring option off the bench to spell Wallace while he's gone and when he gets back...I agree that we may not be able to get all of that back but if we could pry Frye as well I'd be happy!

Portland wants Felton, we know this...Sac gets some expirings and we take on one of their longest highest paying contracts basically giving them a clean slate between now and 2010. This would be so awesome for us and Udrih would mold to fit our style of play...

If we could do that and get away with it I'd next call up Orlando and see if they had any interest in swapping Okafor for Howard, and then call up and see if we could pack wallace and outlaw for LeBron (as much as I dont like him, he plays well and points are what matter).

My trade with Char, Sac, and Portland isn't all that far fetched. Portland wants Salmons and Sac wants pics, youth and cap relief. Outlaw has been being shopped for the last couple of yearsand if they give up LaFrentz for salary cap issues they still need relief down the road. I think it is all in what you are getting. Morrison isn't as bad as he appears. Everyone knows this it is all in the system you are in and how comfortable you are with it. Morrison I think would thrive in a small market but not with a coach such as LB. LB is demanding and Morrison is shying away from everything. He didn't come from out of the dark one night he is a helluva player. That is why I think it would work with him with another team.

first attempt.. they really don't have many appealing contracts or players.

They could seriously use a PG and seem to be at odds with Miller. So we get Salmons and "take" Miller's contract. They get a PG that they could seriously use and get Morrison who goes back to the west coast

Player wise, we get equal value.
However i think that would destroy our team chemistry.

Mind if I ask why?

Brad always was a good team player. He was like the newer C Webb making nice passes and stuff on offense. I really don't know much about Salmons save for his good year thus far. He have an attitude problem?

After reading that Felts agents are going to want a ridiculous amout of money he has to go now so we can get something for him. Miami, Sac, Dallas, and Portland are all wanting pgs. If we could do a trade like my first thougts with Sac and Portland we could maybe do this

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2755~1726~849~2448~2754~454~20 15~2753~568~3016&teams=30~22~22~30~30~23~30~23~23~22&te=&cash=

Sac gets the pg with Felts and a center to replace Miller. They loose Garcia in this trade but he can be replace with players in trade with Miller.

Portland gets Salmons, Thomas and Morrison. No pressure on Morrison now because he can become the 3rd string sf or a big 2 guard and Salmons scoring and Thomas toughness on D.

Char gets a young sg (defensive with scoring ability. Sac had to give up something like this for Felts) behind Bell and we fill the void of missing Wallace. Once Wallace returns we have better bench production another young pf/c in Frye who is routing the bench in Portland and a backup pg making 5 mil for the next 3 yrs, while locking up a backup sg for the next 4yrs.

You may ask!

Now let the master answer...
Trading Raymond Felton would destroy our team chemistry. Look at the way he has been playing as of late. Combine the fact that he runs the team well, enjoys playing here, and is clutch...we cant loose that now.

To give a example, look at the Pistons. They traded their guy who ran that team/clutch as hell (Billups) for a scorer (Iverson) and look what that got them.

Their are even more parallels between our current situation and the Detroit one. Both sets of fans were barking to trade away their established Point Guard to let a young protegee start (Detroit- Stuckey, Us- DJ) and then it turns out they need more time to devolpe and are not completely ready.

In Detroit this experiment was already tried, and seems to be failing. I dont want that to happen to us.

End of rant like statement. I hope your inquiry was solved.

MY TURN!!

ahem, Well... the way things are going now, I really don't want Crash back until fully healed. Without him, our chances are dwindling by the minute and we're basically having to insert new guys into the equation, so we're basically waiting for them to gel as it is. So we get DJ healthy, make a deal while we can get good value and before the trade deadline. And build with those two new pieces so that they're ready to go for next year instead of waiting until then to put DJ in that spot. If Salmons puts up good numbers at the 3 while Crash is out we could at least entertain trade ideas for his less than friendly contract and maybe get some good picks in this next draft. I wouldn't mind packaging him and our (possible) lottery pick for a top 2 or 3 pick.

(But I'll stop speaking in hypotheticals as that has no chance of happening:D)

Okay to save face and chemistry try this one

Either we trade Felts now for something or we keep him, one has to go. Sac is in need of a pg. We use it to our advantage and get a two for one swop like we did with the Suns. How is Dj's injury history? Did he get hurt alot at Texas or was he a iron man? One thing we all know is that Felts will play hurt. Not saying Dj can play now I'm just thinking along the lines of which one to keep. I like both but we can't keep both because salaries are going to clash. I myself would like to keep Felts but money is seemingly going to ruin him. If we could sign him for maybe 6 to 7 mill would take that and go for a backup vet at about 4 mil would only accout for about 12 mill with Singletary the 3rd string.
