Craig Brackins is a 6'10 230lb. Sophomore PF out of Iowa State. He averages 19.6/9.1 and also gets a block and an assist a night while shooting 50% from the field and 30% from three (not bad from a PF;))
I've seen him play twice this season when he put up 42/14 on Kansas and 19/10 on Oklahoma. I've been thoroughly impressed with his performance against these two top teams.
While he's skinny, he doesn't move around awkwardly. He has extreme fluidity and is very comfortable with his size. I love that he fights hard even while being the focal point of the opposing defense. He has a good stroke with a high release and has some pretty good post moves as well. He is to me, a more polished Anthony Randolph (that was to you, Slam).

I've never heard of him but I'll be keeping an eye out for him Swedd.
Does he have handles like Randolph?

Here's his Bio off ESPN. This is from the Big Board of Chad Ford. He is currently listed at #52. Only a Soph so he may stay in school. Have to watch and see if he continues to put up big numbers. If so, he will start to rise.

In the two games I've watched. I've seen him get the ball at the top of the key and run the offense taking his man off the dribble to the hole or crossing over for a jumper. His team really isn't that good so he's one of the primary ball handlers. He's smooth with the ball for sure
Swedd...I'm checking him also...I'm impressed with what I've seen and if he goes in the 18-22 range I think he'd be a steal...he'd play very well along EO50...in the draft range I mentioned teams like Suns, Mavs etc. that do not want to spend on a first might be willing to take our two 2nds (since one should be pretty high) for a first...I really like what I've seen (once) and heard and I'd like to see him play for us...
Have you heard for sure he is going pro after this year?

I'd love the idea to pick him up and let him fill the Anthony Randolph role we've all been looking for. Same body type as him with the same natural ability to play just about any position on the floor.
BRNC, I'm not sure if he is or not. Not many people know about him so he wouldn't go high unless his team does well in the postseason? If they show out and he gets some visibility, he has the talent to be a bubble lottery pick. If they get kicked early or don't make it, then he'll probably stay.

^Seeing his teams record of 13-14, its safe to say they won't be in the tournament. But we could always promise a spot on our team for him if he came? haha
We'd have a great young nucleus for the future with DJ, Sean, Martin, (Gerald/Tyreke/Steph), Brackins, and Ajinca
Iowa St. is not a great team so they may not even make "the madness"...even so..I'm already seeing him listed 22-30 in most mocks...my fear is if he goes to the workouts he is only going to go up...he is my Jason Thompson pick this year...he is a guy that I think we need to complement EO50...my other fear is if I want him this badly our scouts have never even heard of him...LOL
If we could actually get Harden and Brachins this year we'd have a hell'uva draft (IMO) in a weak draft year...
You were all over him nice and early Swedd. Been noticing over the past week that he has started to fly up people boards!!
Kudos to you.

When I go look at 2009 nba mock draft database, I am seeing quite a few now predicting the Cats to grab him at #12. Seems to be coming on strong all of a sudden.
Chad Ford has moved him up from #51 up to #18. Interesting. At this pace, he'll be Top 3 by the Draft!

NO! He can't be my best kept secret if he's going in the lottery! >:(
I've seen him from tenth pick to nineteenth pick...I like him so we probably won't draft him...really I think it will come down to his individual work-outs and team needs/trades between now and the draft...but he is not a secret anymore I have real doubts he makes it out of the lottery picks...

I was seriously hoping he would fall to the late 1st or 2nd round just because not many people know who he is.
He would be amazing coming in behind Diaw at the 4 spot. He'd also be great with DJ in the second unit. I just wish we were able to find some way to pick him and Harden up and end all of our problems at the 2 and 4 spots

I don't see him as a 4. For that matter, I don't see him as a 5 or a 3 either. He's just a huge ass dude with skills. He'll be able to play any frontcourt position depending on matchups and other players. Just like Brackins can play the 3 or 4 depending on matchups.
I love versatility:D
Ray plays PG, but can guard SG's
Crash can guard just about anybody except for the quickest guards and biggest 4/5's
Diaw is Diaw
Mek is a 5, but everybody thinks he can play the 4 so he counts
Raja can guard 2's and 3's
etc.

You know, that makes him sound a lot like Bargnani. It would be awesome for him to develop into a similar kind of player...

He could be better if he doesnt foul the crap out of people
He has a nasty jump hook that only Yao could block, and he could block almost anyone if he's taught right. Plus his J is pretty good out to just below the 3 pt line. and he can run with anyone but the fastest guys in the league...he just needs time with LB. I think that may be more of why LB is going to France this summer than Boris...idk thats just me.

If this kid is still around we should jump all over him. Trade our two 2nds for the highest pick we can get. Take the best s/g or p/g depending if we trade for a shooting guard or not.
Either way i have feeling this kid is a keeper.
He'd be a good addition...and I 100% agree on the two second round choices...I think with teams cost cutting we could get a 1st for those picks...
he has cracked the lottery in espn's machine.
He's going back to school.

Gotta say, there are a few who would very likely be Lottery picks who are staying in school. Impressive.
I think Brackins is crazy. He's a older sophmore so his age will go against him next draft and with this draft thinning out he had a good chance to go high as opposed to being in next years draft, which looks like it might be loaded, where he risks going lower............or even worse, getting hurt and really effecting his draft future draft position.

Or maybe he wants to play for us so bad he decided to go back to school so we can pick him up at the latter part of the first round since we'll be a playoff team? ;)
Slam, some kids care about more than money. Not many, but there are a few.
