I know we have trade threads doing a bazillion things, but hopefully this one wont go too too far off track.. Basically we have a few days to try and push something through to get rid of may... Personally I'd trade him for a 2nd round top half pick...but lets see what anyone can come up with where we drop May and/or Ammo and hopefully come up with something better (thats not hard is it?).

Okay, this is my contribution, and im SHOCKED that it works...doubt they're this despirate for cap room though...

Any free agent worth their salt is playing right now...plus if we just "waive" may we have to pay the remainder of the year, plus pay the new FA. We're already on the hook for J. Davidson's contract....We should have kept him and waived one of those idiots who played like 2-3 games at 2-3 minutes before getting waived...J man would have picked up larry's system eventually...and seeing him on the warriors, he is much thicker now and still just as long.

With the whole 125% rule you STILL want to take in less contract money then you give out. We're sending out 7mil and taking back 9mil and longer contracts. I'd take Maggette, but I'd rather take back less money than we're giving out

Agreed, but getting more back gives the other team another upside reason to trade our trash for their not-trash :)

Other than him being a black hole on offense, weak on defense and on a NASTY contract he's just wonderful.

Larry Brown would not trade for this guy.

Rather just let May expire.

Maggette is not the definitive answer... but for us to move may and or ammo we are going to have to bite the bullet on a rough contract and pray to the lord almighty that the player works out. Personally I think I'd like the see Tinsley and someone very talented or Indiana's own first pick come our way. I think Tinsley would make a good punching bag for Larry, and eventually would do what he's told ;)

I don't think so...May expires after this year! Why would we have to take a guy on a 5 year deal that's bigger than Crash's just to get rid of him now?

Who was it said the grass is always greener?

Word.

Pray tell how does his points per game reflect on him passing and being a team player? What was it Garnett said to him after GSW lost to Boston but he scored all those points?

Listen, aside from Magg. and Tinsley, who both have good reason for us to take the gamble (tinsley I'd need Indy's first pick tho for REAL and probably a talented non-starting SF they have, forget his name this moment). But does anyone know anything else, who wants cap space. I"m perfectly willing to eat a 3-4 year 3-4 mil/year deal (ie smaller matt carroll contract) on a player who can up up 10 pts, 5 boards and 1-2 asts at the 3 or 2/3 or 3/4 off the bench today, and who may put up 15-7-3 or better with 32 min on a start... Do the knicks have anyone like that, I can't wait to see what the knicks offer us next year for ammo's contract... its big enough expiring to put them in the race for Lebron, Dwade and another player at like 10 mil...god help the Celtics in the 10-11 season, god help them indeed.

Maggs is what he is: A selfish player on a shitty team.

He'll fill up the stat, but does he help bring out the best of his teammates? Don't think so. I certainly don't want a prima-donna on the 'Cats.

At the same time, I don't want a lazy ass fat slob who makes countless excuses either.

That's a pitiful excuse for a joke.

Agreeded with Spectre, Have your openions , but don't take it to a personal level . We respect each other on this site and discuss the issues . We don't take shots at each other , thats why this is by far the best Bobcats site on the web.

As for the Maggs trade that could be insteresting. Maggs fills big needs for us . True hes a trubled player but AI was all so . We in big need of a s/f s/g sixth man . scorer, [ can Brown handle the attitude] Can the Cats handle the contract . He could be the piece to put us in the play offs????

Did i actually give you a black eye?

No

Did i jump thru the computer using my BETCATS super powers and take a dump on your face?

No

Did i say something that i thought was funny at the time yet could be deemed as 'controversial' or 'negative'?

Yes

Am I sorry?

Yes

Can we move on now, or do i have to write a book about this? And you probably wont appreciate my 'gutter humor' but since i am from the 'gutter' i guess you just wont appreciate me.

I have a strong candidate - Sun Yue. For streaming link reasons. I don't think we can get a cheaper chinese player in this league so it has to be him. Throw in necessary amount of second round picks and get him a comfortable place on bench.

Only thing I could get to work for him because of his salary is Sean Singletary, who certainly doesnt want to go to a 5th team.

This works, but I doubt LA would do it, they dont need the cap space because frankly the cap doesn't apply to them.

Well, I don't say he actually is a bad player, I don't know much about him - I know he is respectably tall for his position, hassome passing skills and that's it. I just want him because of his nationality and thus better streaming options.

Well, i would have no problem to waive May and trade Yue for a second:)

Yue is constantly inactive or DNP-CD, dont know about the others but clearly similar situations...The lakers need 8-9 players to compete...they just keep the number they do because there is a min roster size. Trust me Sun Yue would play here about as much as Shannon Brown or Singletary and once he proved himself he would get more than that (like 20 min prolly). The others i dunno but thats the way the salary worked, and I don't think they'd trade Sun for Singletary (nor would I).

I would take Sun not only for the streaming options and the play itself but for the possiblilty of getting more butts in the stands, this time of the Aisian variety...then all we'd need would be a South American and we could have all inhabited continents represented!

Up front I'll say that I hate Noc's contract. He would be a better fill in at the 3 than anything else we have tho...and I think Thabo is promising.

Basically we give up dead weight but take on more salary.

Nocioni/Sefolosha for Nazr/May

They do it for the salary relief o'course. This also gives them more breathing room under the tax line this year (approx. 1.5 million). That's a big issue for the Bulls head guy Reinsdorf (sp).
